Megadeth - Symphony of Destruction (Studio Version)

04:04
Symphony of Destruction is the second song on the thrash metal band Megadeths 5th studio album, Countdown to Extinction. The song is one of the heaviest songs written by the band. While it isnt known for its speed, its definately famed for its heaviness. The songs lyrical meaning depicts giving someone power and watching them grow. You take a mortal man, And put him in control Watch him become a god, Watch peoples heads aroll Aroll... Just like the pied piper Lead rats through the streets We dance like marionettes, Swaying to the symphony... Of destruction Acting like a robot, Its metal brain corrodes. You try to take its pulse, Before the head explodes. Explodes... Just like the pied piper Lead rats through the streets We dance like marionettes, Swaying to the symphony... Of destruction The earth starts to rumble World powers fall Awarring for the heavens, A peaceful man stands tall Tall... Just like the pied piper Lead rats through the streets We dance like marionettes, Swaying to the symphony... Of destruction

Iron Maiden - Hallowed Be Thy Name (Studio Version)

07:11
Hallowed Be Thy Name is the eigth and final track on the British heavy metal band Iron Maidens 3rd studio album, The Number of the Beast. The song describes a man's thoughts just before being sent to the gallows. He begins to feel terror and realizes he really is afraid of dying, despite claims that he's not. At the end of the vocal section, the man gets executed; this is followed by a long instrumental section, culminating in his ambiguous final words, Hallowed be thy name. Hallowed Be Thy Name begins with a slow tempo and builds up later in the song. Bruce Dickinson showcases his wide vocal range and power at both slow and fast tempo. This song is considered one of Iron Maiden's classics, and is a staple at live concerts. The first guitar solo is played by Dave Murray, and the second by Adrian Smith. Since Smith left the band and was replaced by Janick Gers, Gers has played Smith's solo, even after Smith returned to the band. The cover depicts Bruce Dickinson being impaled from behind by Eddie, in the form of Satan. The same idea of Eddie killing the departing vocalist had previously been used on the cover of the Venezuelan release of Maiden Japan (with him holding the severed head of Paul Di'Anno). This theme was also used during Bruce Dickinson's farewell performance, during the Raising Hell concert, where horror Illusionist Simon Drake, after seemingly killing Dickinson, gets impaled by Eddie. The song has also been released as a live single from the 1993 album A Real Dead One and on The Best of the Beast, and has become a live staple for Iron Maiden. Im waiting in my cold cell when the bell begins to chime Reflecting on my past life and it doesnt have much time Cos at 5 o clock they take me to the gallows pole The sands of time for me are running low When the priest comes to read me the last rights I take a look through the bars at the last sights Of a world that has gone very wrong for me Can it be theres some sort of error Hard to stop the surmounting terror Is it really the end not some crazy dream? Somebody please tell me that Im dreaming Its not so easy to stop from screaming But words escape me when I try to speak Tears they flow but why am I crying After all I am not afraid of dying Dont believe that there is never an end As the guards march me out to the courtyard Someone calls from a cell God be with you If theres a God then why has he let me die? As I walk all my life drifts before me And though the end is near Im not sorry Catch my soul cos its willing to fly away Mark my words please believe my soul lives on Please dont worry now that I have gone Ive gone beyond to see the truth When you know that your time is close at hand Maybe then youll begin to understand Life down there is just a strange illusion.

Metallica - Jump In the Fire single (Studio Version)

04:42
M Jump in the Fire is the fourth song on the thrash metal band Metallicas debut album, Kill Em All. The lyrics of Jump in the Fire are written from Satan's point of view. It describes how the Devil watches the people who are killing each other, and so he is sure that they will all go to hell for their actions. They Jump in the Fire. The original lyrics, featured on the No Life 'Til Leather demo, dealt with sexuality, and were written by Mustaine. It is known for its guitar outro at 3:46. The song was released as Metallica's second single, accompanied by fake live performances of Phantom Lord and Seek and Destroy, which were alternate studio recordings with sounds of a crowd overdubbed in. In 1978, Artist Les Edwards created an oil painting titled Devil's D-Day that was featured on Metallica's early single, Jump in the Fire. The song was released as the second single from Kill 'Em All, and was accompanied by fake live performances of Phantom Lord and Seek and Destroy, which were alternate studio recordings with sounds of a crowd overdubbed in. Down in the depths of my fiery home The summons bell will chime Tempting you and all the earth to join our sinful kind There is a job to be done and I'm the one You people make me do it Now it is time for your fate and I won't hesitate to pull you down into this pit So come on Jump in the Fire So come on Jump in the Fire With hell in my eyes and with death in my veins The end is closing in Feeding on the minds of man and from their souls within My disciples all shout to search you out And they always shall obey Follow me now my child not the meek or the mild But do just as I say So come on Jump in the Fire So come on Jump in the Fire Jump by your will or be taken by force I'll get you either way Trying to keep the hellfire lit I am stalking you as prey Living your life as me I am you you see There is part of me in everyone So reach down grab my hand walk with me through the land Come home where you belong So come on Jump in the Fire So come on Jump in the Fire So come on Jump in the Fire So come on Jump in the Fire C'mon jump baby now!

Amadeus Clip

09:38
This clip is taken from the hit movie "Amadeus". It shows Antonio Salieri's piece being played by the Hapsburg Monarch at the time. While the piece was written by Salieri, the monarch plays it but fails to play it properly when Mozart is summoned to discuss a matter of a future opera that he wants Mozart to compose and write. Mozart accepts with honour and plays Salieri's song perfectly and perfects it. This clip depicts the first time Salieri hates Mozart and God for creating Mozart. He blames God for using Mozart as his instrument of sound and is 'laughing at Salieri through that histarical laugh'.

Metallica - Fade to Black (Studio Version)

06:56
Fade to Black is the fourth song on the thrash metal band Metallicas second studio album, Ride the Lightning. It was the first musical ballad released by the band, and is considered to be the precursor to The Unforgiven and Unforgiven II due to strong similarity in sound and subject matter. It was ranked as having the 24th best guitar solo ever by Guitar World magazine readers. It is one of Metallica's most famous songs. In an interview with drummer Lars Ulrich on the set of the production MTV Icon: Metallica in 2005, he recalls how he and bandmate James Hetfield were obsessed with death at the time the album and song were produced. It was written after almost all of their equipment, including a very rare amplifier, given to singer/rhythm guitarist James Hetfield by his mother just before she died, was stolen in Boston, MA, following a gig at the Channel Club on 14th January 1984. This event forced Metallica to borrow equipment from fellow tour band and friends, Anthrax, for the remainder of the tour. The lyrics suggest a man contemplating, then eventually committing suicide. It begins with an acoustic guitar introduction and becomes progressively heavier as the song goes on. Since its release, Fade to Black has been a fixture in Metallica's live performances. It was also the last song that Metallica performed live with former bassist Jason Newsted. Jason's last gig was at the VH1 Music Awards on November 30, 2000. It was one of Newsted's favorite Metallica songs, and was said to be of great sentimental value to him, although it had been written before he had joined the band. Jason Newsted's previous band, Flotsam And Jetsam, performed a song called Fade To Black on their 1986 album Doomsday For The Deceiver before Jason left to join Metallica, although it bears no resemblance to the Metallica version. Metallica was playing the intro of this song during their concert at Montreal's Olympic Stadium in 1992, when James Hetfield suffered second and third-degree burns from a pyrotechnic accident. The song's title is never mentioned in the lyrics. Life, it seems, will fade away Drifting further every day Getting lost within myself Nothing matters, no one else I have lost the will to live Simply nothing more to give There is nothing more for me Need the end to set me free Things aren't what they used to be Missing one inside of me Deathly lost, this can't be real Can not stand this hell I feel Emptiness is filling me To the point of agony Growing darkness taking dawn I was me, but now he's gone No one but me can save myself, but it's too late Now I can't think, think why I should even try Yesterday seems as though it never existed Death greets me warm, now I will just say goodbye

Metallica - So What? (Studio Version)

03:07
So What? is the eleventh song on disc two of the thrash metal band Metallicas 8th studio album, Garage Inc. So What? is a song written by the British punk band the Anti-Nowhere League. The song first appeared as the B-side of the band's debut 7 single Streets of London, in 1981. The song was written, according to the band, after sitting in a pub one night and hearing two men try to out do each other with stories of past experiences. The song is therefore a retort to people who tell embellished stories to make themselves appear better than the other person they are in conversation with. The obscene lyrical content of the song caused the British police to seize all copies of the single from the band's distributors under the Obscene Publications Act and remove all copies from sale [1]. The word "fuck" appeared in the first line of the song. The song has subsequently been appended to various CD reissues of the We Are... The League album and has become somewhat of an anthem for the band. The song was famously covered by Metallica and released as a B-side to the Sad But True single and later included on the Garage Inc. album; it is also a bonus track on the Asian version of the Black Album. So What? has become an in-concert standard for the band. Unfortunately, James Hetfield, lead singer of Metallica, reportedly damaged his voice during recording of this song, around the time of the Black Album. So fucking what! Well I've been to Hastings, and I've been to Brighton. I've been to Eastport too. So what. So what. And I've been here, I've been there. I've been everying fucking where. So what. So what. Who cares. Who cares what you do. And who cares, Who cares about you, you, you, you, you. And I've drunk that, I've drunk this. I've spewed up on a pint of piss. So what. So what. I've had scank, I've have speed. I've jacked up until I bleed. So what. So what. So what, so what, you boring little cunt. Who cares. Who cares what you do. Iron Maiden - The Trooper (Studio Version)

04:11
The Trooper is a song by the British heavy metal group Iron Maiden from their album Piece of Mind. The band widly uses the method of "galoping" on guitar, harmonizing the guitars and bending+hammering-on in the solo. The album it singled from ranked #3 on the UK charts, #14 on Billboard Pop charts, and #70 on Billboard Top 200. It is still a record holder to this day. The song was released (along with the album) on June 20, 1983. It was recorded sometime in August of '82. The song is about the Battle of Balaclava in 1854 during the Crimean War, and is at least partially based upon Alfred Lord Tennyson's poem "The Charge of the Light Brigade", taking the viewpoint of one of the slain troopers, who, in the coverart, is perceived as a bald Eddie. It is known for the galloping triplet sound of its bass and electric guitar, as well as its catchy and memorable riff, and is a crowd favourite at concerts. The music video features clips of "The Charge" from the 1936 film "The Charge of the Light Brigade", which was controversial due to the deaths of 200 horses and an actor during filming. Altogether the song is one of the greatest of all time...enjoy! You take my life but I'll take yours too You throw your musket but I'll run you through So when your waiting for the next attack You'd better stand cause theres no turning back! The bugle sounds as the march begins But on this battlefield no one wins The smell of acrid smoke and horse's breath As you plunge into a certain death The horse he sweats with fear, we break to run The mighty roar of the Russian guns And as we race towards the human wall The screams of pain as my comrads fall We hurtle bodies that lay on the ground And the Russians fire another round We'd get so near, yet so far away We were meant to fight another day! We got so close near enough to fight When a Russian gets me in his sights He pulls the trigger and i feel the blow A burst of rounds takes my horse below And as I lay there gazing at the sky, My body's numb and my throat is dry And as I lay forgotten and alone, Without a tear I draw my parting groan

Metallica - Disposable Heroes (Studio Version)

08:16
Disposable Heroes is the fifth song on the thrash metal band Metallicas 3rd studio album, Master of Puppets. The song is generally talking about a hero in battle that can be easily replaced. The song uses highly fast progressions as used in other songs like Battery, and That Was Just Your Life. The song is demonstrating the classic thrash metal sound by using highly distorted guitar, fast tempo, and aggressive drums. Not to mention speeding bass notes. Bodies fill the fields I see, hungry heroes end No one to play soldier now, no one to pretend Running blind through killing fields, bred to kill them all Victim of what said should be A servant 'til I fall Soldier boy, made of clay Now an empty shell Twenty one, only son But he served us well Bred to kill, not to care Do just as we say Finished here, greetings death He's yours to take away Back to the front You will do what I say, when I say Back to the front You will die when I say, you must die Back to the front You coward You servant You blindman Barking of machinegun fire, does nothing to me now Sounding of the clock that ticks, get used to it somehow More a man, more stripes you bare, glory seeker trends Bodies fill the fields I see The slaughter never ends Soldier boy, made of clay Now an empty shell Twenty one, only son But he served us well Bred to kill, not to care Do just as we say Finished here, greetings death He's yours to take away Back to the front You will do what I say, when I say Back to the front You will die when I say, you must die Back to the front You coward You servant You blindman Why, am I dying? Kill, have no fear Lie, live off lying Hell, hell is here I was born for dying Life planned out before my birth, nothing could I say Had no chance to see myself, molded day by day Looking back I realize, nothing have I done Left to die with only friend Alone I clench my gun Soldier boy, made of clay Now an empty shell Twenty one, only son But he served us well Bred to kill, not to care Do just as we say Finished here, greetings death He's yours to take away Back to the front You will do what I say, when I say Back to the front You will die when I say, you must die Back to the front You coward You servant You blindman Back to the front

Metallica - Whiskey In the Jar (Studio Version)

05:03
Whiskey In the Jar is the ninth song of the first disc on the thrash metal band Metallicas 8th studio album, Garage Inc. Whiskey in the Jar is a famous Irish traditional song about a highwayman (usually in the Cork and Kerry mountains), who is betrayed by his wife or lover. One of the most widely performed traditional Irish songs, it is also particularly known through its 1970s chart version by the Irish rock band Thin Lizzy. The song is later covered and recorded by Metallica. As I was going over the Cork and Kerry mountains I saw Captain Farrell and his money he was counting I first produced my pistol and then produced my rapier I said "stand and deliver or the devil he may take you" I took all of his money and it was a pretty penny I took all of his money, yeah, and I brought it home to Molly She swore that she loved me, no, never would she leave me But the devil take that woman, yeah, for you know she tricked me easy Musha rain dum-a-do-dum-a-da Whack for my daddy-o Whack for my daddy-o There's whiskey in the jar-o Being drunk and weary I went to Molly's chamber Taking Molly with me, but I never knew the danger For about six or maybe seven, yeah, in walked Captain Farrell I jumped up, fired my pistols, and I shot him with both barrels, yeah Musha rain dum-a-do-dum-a-da, yeah-yeah Whack for my daddy-o Whack for my daddy-o There's whiskey in the jar-o Now some men like the fishing and some men like the fowling And some men like to hear, to hear the cannonball a-roaring Me I like sleeping, especially in my Molly's chamber But here I am in prison, here I am with a ball and chain, yeah Musha rain dum-a-do-dum-a-da, yeah-yeah Whack for my daddy-o Whack for my daddy-o There's whiskey in the jar-o, yeah Whiskey in the jar-o, yeah Musha rain dum-a-do-dum-a-da Musha rain dum-a-do-dum-a-da, hey Musha rain dum-a-do-dum-a-da Musha rain dum-a-do-dum-a-da, yeah

Metallica - Welcome Home (Sanitarium) (Studio Version)

06:26
Welcome Home (Sanitarium) is the fourth song on the thrash metal band Metallicas 3rd studio album. Keeping with the theme of powerlessness of Master of Puppets, the lyrics portray one being trapped in insanity, or perhaps incarcerated in a mental asylum. However, a sanitarium is usually a facility for treating tuberculosis and other chronic disease. It begins slowly with harmonics, which in the song are meant to simulate time slowly ticking by. This eventually leads into the main riff followed by the bass guitar, drums and solo. The lyrics progress and become more harsh as time moves on, backed by harsher vocals (in comparison to the cleaner vocals of the song) and heavily distorted guitars. The song ends with several solos and a few lyrics that hint about an uprising in the asylum. Altogether, the song is guided by powerful and moving riffs that give the song a cold and gloomy atmosphere. The original demo version of this song features an extended ending which is eventually used as bass and guitar solos in the song Orion. This song is also featured as background music for the film Paradise Lost: The Child Murders at Robin Hood Hills, which details the controversial West Memphis Three murder case, as the three boys listened to heavy metal. Welcome to where time stands still No one leaves and no one will Moon is full, never seems to change Just labeled mentally deranged Dream the same thing every night I see our freedom in my sight No locked doors, no windows barred No things to make my brain seem scarred Sleep my friend and you will see That dream is my reality They keep me locked up in this cage Can't they see it's why my brain says rage Sanitarium, leave me be Sanitarium, just leave me alone Build my fear of what's out there And cannot breathe the open air Whisper things into my brain Assuring me that i'm insane They think our heads are in their hands But violent use brings violent plans Keep him tied, it makes him well He's getting better, can't you tell? No more can they keep us in Listen, damn it, we will win They see it right, they see it well But they think this saves us from our hell Sanitarium, leave me be Sanitarium, just leave me alone Sanitarium, just leave me alone Fear of living on Natives getting restless now Mutiny in the air Got some death to do Mirror stares back hard Kill, it's such a friendly word Seems the only way For reaching out again

Metallica - (Anisthesia) Pulling Teeth (Studio Version)

04:16
(Anesthesia) Pulling Teeth is the fifth song on the band Metallicas debut album, Kill Em All. (Anesthesia) Pulling Teeth is a bass solo by Cliff Burton. An instrumental track, with accompaniment on drums by Ulrich, it features Burton's distinctive lead bass style of playing, incorporating heavy distortion, use of the wah-wah pedal, and tapping. This is also the bass solo that Burton was playing when Hetfield and Ulrich first saw him at a gig: We heard this wild solo going on and thought, "'I dont see any guitar player up there.' We were both counting the strings and I finally turned to Lars and said 'Dude, that's a bass!' Cliff was up there on stage with his band Trauma with a wah wah pedal and his huge mop of red hair. He didn't care whether people were there. He was looking down at his bass playing," recounts Hetfield. The song is the first song by the band that is entirely instrumental(aside from Cliff saying bass solo take 1 at the beginning of the song).

Metallica - Fuel (Studio Version)

04:28
Fuel is the first song on the thrash metal band Metallicas 7th studio album ReLoad. It stems from the thrill of fast driving and street racing. The song could also be applied to the fact that people like to drive their lives (like their cars) too fast. It seems to be one of James Hetfield's favourite songs as he later said before a concert played at an Oakland Raiders game, "We have to play Fuel...'cause it gets me pumped up." Another interpretation of this song, which reflects the external struggles of the band members themselves as well as the personal lyric style James Hetfield adopted beginning with The Black Album, suggests that the song is about addiction. Specifically the addiction may be Hetfield's alcoholism, but it could be a reference to any sort of addiction. It is a reference to whatever it may be that fuels a person. Further, it may reflect Hetfield's decision to substitute his love of cars and racing for his love of alcohol. This is evidenced throughout the entire song and survives interpretation; the song may get the band and the crowd "pumped up," but it is by no means as simple a song as it appears. The song was written by Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, and Kirk Hammett, and was the third single from the album. It is now a permanent fixture at their live shows, and was performed on their S&M album. Fuel was also covered by Avril Lavigne on their edition of the tribute show, MTV Icon, in 2003. Another group, Iron Horse, covered the song as well. Gimme fuel, gimme fire, gimme that which I desire, ooh Turn on, I see red Adrenaline crash and crack my head Nitro junkie, paint me dead And I see red A hundred plus through black and white War horse, warhead, fuck 'em, man White knuckle tight Through black and white Ooh, I burn Fuel is pumping engines Burning hard, loose, and clean And then I burn Turning my direction Quench my thirst with gasoline So gimme fuel, gimme fire, gimme that which I desire Turn on beyond the bone Swallow future, spit out hope Burn your face upon the chrome Take the corner, going to crash Headlights, headlines Another junkie lives too fast Yeah, Lives way too fast, fast, fast, fast, fast, fast Ooh, I burn Fuel is pumping engines Burning hard, loose and clean And then I burn Turning my direction Quench my thirst with gasoline So gimme fuel, gimme fire, gimme that which I desire White knuckle tight Gimme fuel Gimme fire My desire Ooh, I burn Fuel is pumping engines Burning hard, loose, and clean And on and on Turning my direction Quench my thirst with gasoline Gimme fuel, gimme fire, gimme that which I desire, ooh On I burn!

Metallica - Metal Militia (Studio Version)

05:10
Metal Militia is the tenth and final track on the thrash metal band Metallicas debut album, Kill 'Em All. It is one of their fastest songs and the namesake for the band as well as a series of Metallica tribute albums. The theme of the song seems to be about invasion and conquest. Thunder and lightning The gods take revenge Senseless destruction Victims of fury are cowardly now Running for safety Stabbing the harlot to pay for her sins Leaving the virgin Suicide running as if it were free Ripping and tearing On through the mist and the madness We are trying to get the message to you Metal Militia Chained and shadowed To be left behind Nine and one thousand Metal militia for your sacrifice Iron clad soldiers Join or be conquered the law of the land What will befall you The metalization of your inner soul Twisting and turning On through the mist and the madness We are trying to get the message to you Metal Militia We are as one as we all are the same Fighting for one cause Leather and metal are our uniforms Protecting what we are Joining together to take on the world With our heavy metal Spreading the message to everyone here Come let yourself go On through the mist and the madness We are trying to get the message to you Metal Militia

Metallica - Low Man's Lyric (Studio Version)

07:41
Low Man's Lyric is the eleventh song from Metallica's seventh studio album, ReLoad. It is a slow ballad following the likes of Nothing Else Matters and Mama Said. The song seems to be about a homeless heroin addict begging for forgiveness from his estranged family before he dies. The song is the only song on the album that gives credit to the new bassist of the band, Jason Newstand. My eyes seek reality My fingers seek my veins There's a dog at your back step He must come in from the rain I fall 'cause I let go The net below has rot away So my eyes seek reality And my fingers seek my veins The trash fire is warm But nowhere safe from the storm And I can't bear to see What I've let me be So wicked and worn So as I write to you Of what is done and to do Maybe you'll understand And won't cry for this man 'Cause low man is due Please forgive me My eyes seek reality My fingers feel for faith Touch clean with a dirty hand I touched the clean to the waste The trash fire is warm But nowhere safe from the storm And I can't bear to see What I've let me be So wicked and worn So as I write to you, yeah Of what is done and to do, yeah Maybe you'll understand And won't cry for this man 'Cause low man is due Please forgive me Please forgive me Please forgive me So low the sky is all I see All I want from you is forgive me So you bring this poor dog in from the rain Though he just wants right back out again And I cry to the alleyway Confess all to the rain But I lie, lie straight to the mirror The one I've broken to match my face The trash fire is warm But nowhere safe from the storm And I can't bear to see What I've let me be So wicked and worn So as I write to you, yeah Of what is done and to do, yeah Maybe you'll understand And won't cry for this man 'Cause low man is due Please forgive me Please forgive me So low the sky is all I see All I want from you is forgive me So you bring this poor dog in from the rain Though he just wants right back out again My eyes seek reality My fingers seek my veins

Metallica - The Unforgiven II (Studio Version)

06:36
The Unforgiven II is a song on the thrash metal band Metallicas 7th studio album, ReLoad. It was written by James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, and Kirk Hammett, and appears in the album ReLoad, as a sequel to The Unforgiven (Black Album). The name may be a pun on the lyric you're unforgiven too. The song has since been followed by a second sequel, The Unforgiven III, from the album Death Magnetic. The song has only been performed once live at the 1997 Billboard Music awards (the band played after they won the Artist of the Year award). Its complicated and complex nature makes it a difficult song to perform regularly. When asked the song's meaning by a fan, Hetfield replied, "Forgiving no one and ending up alone." The lyrics also refer frequently to a "she". The song talks about someone else being unforgiven other than the narrator of the lyrics. The song mainly uses ancient words like thee as in many of their songs (those words are still used today, just more in medieval times). Lay beside me Tell me what they've done Speak the words I wanna hear To make my demons run The door is locked now But it's open if you're true If you can understand the me Then I can understand the you Lay beside me under wicked sky The black of day, dark of night We share this pair of lives The door cracks open But there's no sun shining through Black heart scarring darker still But there's no sun shining through No, there's no sun shining through No, there's no sun shining What I've felt, what I've known Turn the pages, turn the stone Behind the door Should I open it for you? Yeah, what I've felt What I've known Sick and tired, I stand alone Could you be there 'Cause I'm the one who waits for you Or are you unforgiven too? Come lay beside me This won't hurt, I swear She loves me not She loves me still But she'll never love again She lay beside me But she'll be there when I'm gone Black heart scarring darker still Yes, she'll be there when I'm gone Yes, she'll be there when I'm gone Dead sure she'll be there What I've felt, what I've known Turn the pages, turn the stone Behind the door Should I open it for you? Yeah, what I've felt, what I've known Sick and tired, I stand alone Could you be there 'Cause I'm the one who waits for you Or are you unforgiven too? Lay beside me, tell me what I've done The door is closed, so are your eyes But now I see the sun, now I see the sun Yes, now I see it What I've felt, what I've known Turn the pages, turn the stone Behind the door Should I open it for you? Yeah, what I've felt, what I've known So sick and tired, I stand alone Could you be there 'Cause I'm the one who waits The one who waits for you Oh, what I've felt, what I've known Turn the pages, turn the stone Behind the door Should I open it for you? So I dub thee unforgiven Oh, what I've felt Oh, what I've known I take this key and I bury it in you Because you're unforgiven too Never free, never me 'Cause you're unforgiven too, oh

Metallica - Battery (Studio Version)

05:10
Battery is the opening track of Metallica's 1986 album Master of Puppets. As with the opening track from Ride the Lightning, Battery begins with a slow, clean guitar part. In this case, three acoustic guitars are layered harmonically before the drums and bass come in with distorted guitars playing a more melodic version of the acoustic part. This lasts until 1:06, when the guitars cut into a very fast minimalist thrash metal riff that is the basis for the rest of the song. In live concerts, the beginning is not played by the band but instead the actual recording is used. In keeping with the general control theme of Master of Puppets, the lyrics of "Battery" discuss the control that anger can have over one's behavior. The title refers to "battery" in the sense of "assault and battery", as shown by these lyrics: "Smashing through the boundaries / Lunacy has found me / Cannot stop the battery". Battery is still an almost constant part of the band's live set list, frequently as the opening or closing song. In some cases, it is also used as a song before the intermission. When played, the song may stop before the interlude, and James Hetfield asks the crowd "Are you alive?... How does it feel to be alive?" and followed by the solo played by Kirk Hammett. During the chorus of the original version, bassist Cliff Burton can be heard roaring the backing vocals each time Hetfield says the title. In the live version of the song played on the Live Shit: Binge & Purge album, intros to the songs No Remorse, Ride the Lightning, and So What? are played in the song. When performed with the San Francisco Symphony in 1999, the intro up to the thrash riff was instead played by string players in the symphony, utilizing pizzicato in the beginning (the original acoustic) then with bows for the rest. Lashing out the action, returning the reaction Weak are ripped and torn away Hypnotizing power, crushing all that cower Battery is here to stay Smashing through the boundaries Lunacy has found me Cannot stop the battery Pounding out aggression Turns into obsession Cannot kill the battery Cannot kill the family Battery is found in me Battery Crushing all deceivers, mashing non-believers Never ending potency Hungry violence seeker, feeding off the weaker Breeding on insanity Smashing through the boundaries Lunacy has found me Cannot stop the battery Pounding out aggression Turns into obsession Cannot kill the battery Cannot kill the family Battery is found in me Battery Circle of destruction, hammer comes crushing Powerhouse of energy Whipping up a fury, dominating flurry We create the battery Smashing through the boundaries Lunacy has found me Cannot stop the battery Pounding out aggression Turns into obsession Cannot kill the battery Cannot kill the family Battery is found in me Battery

Metallica - Attitude (Studio Version)

05:17
Attitude is the twelvth song on the thrash metal band Metallicas 7th studio album, ReLoad. Suppose I say, I'm never satisfied Suppose I say, you cut some root To make the tree survive Just let me kill you for a while Just let me kill you for a smile Just let me kill you once I'm oh so bored to death Oh, I hunger, I hunger I eat Born into attitude Asleep at the wheel Throw all your bullets in the fire And run like hell Why cure the fever? What ever happened to sweat? Suppose I say, the vultures smile at me Suppose I say, I set them down They plan to pick you clean And satisfaction this way comes And satisfaction this way comes And satisfaction's here and gone Gone, yeah, and gone again Oh, I hunger, oh, I hunger I eat Born into attitude Asleep at the wheel Throw all your bullets in the fire And stand there Born into attitude Twist mother tongue Throw all your bullets in the fire And run like hell Why cure the fever? What ever happened to sweat? Just let me kill you for a while Just let me kill you for a smile Just let me kill you once for me I'm bored to death And satisfaction this way comes And satisfaction this way comes And satisfaction's here and gone Gone, gone again Yeah, I hunger Oh, I hunger I eat Born into attitude Asleep at the wheel Throw all your bullets in the fire And stand there Born into attitude Twist mother tongue Throwing all your bullets in the fire And run like hell Why cure the fever? What ever happened to sweat?

Metallica - Damage Inc. (Studio Version)

05:29
Damage Inc. Is the eigth and final song on the thrash metal band Metallicas 3rd studio album, Master of Puppets. The song is the only song that uses such agression and violentness in its lyrics and instruments. The song starts off with a slow opening by bassist Cliff Burton(RIP) and slowly interludes into a part where all three guitarists and Lars are playing their instruments to their full potential. The song is also the only song on the album to use the work fuck. Dealing out the agony within, Charging hard and no one's gonna give in, Living on you knees, conformity, Or dying on you feet for honesty, Inbred, our bodies work as one, Bloody, but never cry submission, Following our instinct not a trend, Go against the grain until the end Blood will follow blood, Dying time is here, Damage incorporated Slamming through, don't fuck with razorback, Stepping out? You'll feel our hell on you back, Blood follows blood and we make sure, Life ain't for you and we're the cure, Honesty is my only excuse, Try to rob us of it, but it's no use, Steamroller action crushing all, Victim is your name and you shall fall Blood will follow blood, Dying time is here, Damage incorporated We chew and spit you out, We laugh, you scream and shout, All flee, with fear you run, You'll know just where we come from Damage incorporated Damage jackals ripping right through you, Sight and smell of this, it gets me goin', Know just how to get just what we want, Tear it from you soul in nightly hunt, Fuck it all and fucking no regrets, Never happy endings on these dark sets, All's fair for damage inc. you see, Step a little closer if you please Blood will follow blood, Dying time is here, Damage incorporated

Metallica - Creeping Death (Studio Version)

06:34
Creeping Death is the seventh song on the thrash metal band Metallicas second studio album, Ride the Lightning. Written from the perspective of the Angel of Death it describes the Plague of the Firstborn (Exodus 12:29). Creeping Death is 6 minutes and 36 seconds long and is also Metallica's most frequently played song, having been played over 1100 times since 1983, more than any other Metallica song. It stands as a classic example of the band's thrash style, albeit slower than the Kill 'Em All material. The middle section, based around ominous chants of "Die!" set to a perilous phrygian-mode chord progression, is a fan participation staple during Metallica shows. It was released as a single in 1984 on the Music for Nations label in the UK and France. The B-sides were the cover songs "Am I Evil?" (originally by Diamond Head) and "Blitzkrieg" (originally by Blitzkrieg). Together these covers were known as Garage Days Revisited, which set the stage for Metallica's next cover record, the Garage Days Re-Revisited EP. The band was inspired for the song by the second half of the film The Ten Commandments, which is based upon the Bible tale of the plagues which were bestowed upon the Egyptians. When they watched the film, bassist Cliff Burton remarked "Whoa - it's like creeping death," a phrase which the other members took a liking to, so they put it as the song title. Throughout the song, there is mention of more of the ten plagues. In the second verse, four of the ten plagues are mentioned: Blood, Running red and strong, down the Nile (The first of the ten, water turned to blood) Plague (This line might refer to the 5th plague, disease of livestock) Darkness three days long, (The ninth of the ten, the sun was blocked for three days) hail to fire (The seventh of the ten, burning hail fell from the sky). It also mentions God in the second verse as well, with "bush of fire." And in the story, Moses sees God in the form of a burning bush. The middle section of the song was originally written by lead guitarist Kirk Hammett's former band Exodus. Exodus called the song "Die By His Hand", because of the bridge, where they sang "Die by his hand". (Metallica instead sings "Die by my hand", due to the song being in the view of the final plague) The song was recorded and released by Exodus as a demo, but never appeared on any album. Slaves Hebrews born to serve, to the pharaoh Heed To his every word, live in fear Faith Of the unknown one, the deliverer Wait Something must be done, four hundred years So let it be written So let it be done I'm sent here by the chosen one So let it be written So let it be done To kill the first born pharaoh's son I'm creeping death Now Let my people go, land of Goshen Go I will be with thee, bush of fire Blood Running red and strong down the Nile Plague Darkness three days long, hail to fire So let it be written So let it be done I'm sent here by the chosen one So let it be written So let it be done To kill the first born pharaoh's son I'm creeping death Die by my hand I creep across the land Killing first-born man Die by my hand I creep across the land Killing first-born man I Rule the midnight air, the destroyer Born I shall soon be there, deadly mass I Creep the steps and floor, final darkness Blood Lambs blood painted door, I shall pass So let it be written So let it be done I'm sent here by the chosen one So let it be written So let it be done To kill the first born pharaoh's son I'm creeping death

Metallica - The Call of Ktulu (Studio Version)

08:52
The Call of Ktulu is the eigth and final song on the thrash metal band Metallicas second studio album, Ride the Lightning. The song is the only instrumetal song on the album and one of two songs that give writers credit to Dave Mustaine on the album. The song includes much instrumetalism by Cliff Burton and Kirk Hammett. The song is the first song (unofficially)released by the band that is entirely instrumental. Officially the song is the band's second instrumental song. Unofficially and logically, it't their first. Because on (Anesthesia) Pulling Teeth at the beginning of the song you can hear "bass solo, take one" thus making the song not instrumetal. The same misconception is made about To Live Is to Die on the band's 4th studio album, ...And Justice For All.

Iron Maiden - Hallowed Be Thy Name single (Studio Version)

07:16

Metallica - Better Than You (Studio Version)

05:20
Better Than You is the fifth track of the thrash metal band Metallica's7th studio album, ReLoad. The song won the 1998 Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance; it was the band's fourth award in that category. The lyrics theme might be taken as an ironic view on arrogance. The lyrics can also deal with somebody who's obsessed of the struggle to be better than somebody else. I look at you, then you me Hungry and thirsty I wait Holding the lion's share Holding the key Holding me back 'cause I'm striving to be Better than you better than you Better than you better than you Lock homes I push, and I strive Somehow I feel more alive Bury the deep forest, bury the sea Bury me deep when there's no will to be Better than you better than you Oh better than you better than you Oh, can't stop this train from rolling Oh, yo, nothing brings me down No, can't stop this train from rolling on and on, on No, no, forever on and on Oh, can't stop this train from rolling Oh, yo, you can't take it down No, never stop this locomotion on and on and on No, no, you can't bring me down 'cause I'm Better than you better than you Better than you better than you Oh better than you better than you Better than you better than you Much better than you Can't stop this train from rolling Forever on and on and on Better than you, yeah Haha, better than you

Leper Messiah is the sixth song on the thrash metal band Metallicas 3rd studio album, Master of Puppets. Iron Maiden - Rime of the Ancient Mariner (Studio Version) pt1

05:12
Rime of the Ancient Mariner is the 8th song on the British Heavy Metal band Iron Maidens 5th studio album, Powerslave. The song is based on the 1798 poem by English poet Samuel Taylor Coleridge. The song and poem start off talking about being at a wedding then a man tells a story while at the wedding of an ancient mariner. The song remains to be the longest song written by Iron Maiden and one of the favourites by fans, despite its length and immense complexity. Hear the rime of the ancient mariner See his eye as he stops one of three Mesmerises one of the wedding guests Stay here and listen to the nightmares of the sea. And the music plays on, as the bride passes by Caught by his spell and the mariner tells his tale. Driven south to the land of the snow and ice To a place where nobody's been Through the snow fog flies on the albatross Hailed in God's name, hoping good luck it brings. And the ship sails on, back to the North Through the fog and ice and the albatross follows on. The mariner kills the bird of good omen His shipmates cry against what he's done But when the fog clears, they justify him And make themselves a part of the crime. Sailing on and on and north across the sea Sailing on and on and north 'til all is calm. The albatross begins with its vengeance A terrible curse a thirst has begun His shipmates blame bad luck on the mariner About his neck, the dead bird is hung. And the curse goes on and on at sea And the thirst goes on and on for them and me. "Day after day, day after day, we stuck nor breath nor motion as idle as a painted ship upon a painted ocean Water, water everywhere and all the boards did shrink Water, water everywhere nor any drop to drink." There calls the mariner There comes a ship over the line But how can she sail with no wind in her sails and no tide. See...onward she comes Onward she nears out of the sun See, she has no crew She has no life, wait but there's two. Death and she Life in Death, They throw their dice for the crew She wins the mariner and he belongs to her now. Then...crew one by one they drop down dead, two hundred men She...she, Life in Death. She lets him live, her chosen one. "One after one by the star dogged moon, too quick for groan or sigh each turned his face with a ghastly pang and cursed me with his eye four times fifty living men (and I heard nor sigh nor groan) with heavy thump, a lifeless lump, they dropped down one by one." The curse it lives on in their eyes The mariner he wished he'd die Along with the sea creatures But they lived on, so did he. And by the light of the moon He prays for their beauty not doom With heart he blesses them God's creatures all of them too. Then the spell starts to break The albatross falls from his neck Sinks down like lead into the sea Then down in falls comes the rain. Hear the groans of the long dead seamen See them stir and they start to rise Bodies lifted by good spirits None of them speak and they're lifeless in their eyes And revenge is still sought, penance starts again Cast into a trance and the nightmare carries on. Now the curse is finally lifted And the mariner sights his home spirits go from the long dead bodies Form their own light and the mariner's left alone. And then a boat came sailing towards him It was a joy he could not believe The pilot's boat, his son and the hermit, Penance of life will fall onto him. And the ship it sinks like lead into the sea And the hermit shrieves the mariner of his sins. The mariner's bound to tell of his story To tell this tale wherever he goes To teach God's word by his own example That we must love all things that God made. And the wedding guest's a sad and wiser man And the tale goes on and on and on.

Megadeth - Holy Wars...The Punishment Due (Studio Version)

06:31
Holy WarsThe Punishment Due is the first song on the thrash metal band Megadeths 4th studio album, Rust in Peace. The lyrical theme of "Holy Wars" deals with the northern Irish conflict. In an interview with the UK magazine Guitarist, Mustaine says that he was inspired to write the song in Northern Ireland, when he discovered bootlegged Megadeth T-shirts were on sale and was dissuaded from taking action to have them removed on the basis that they were part of fund raising activities for "The Cause" (i.e. the Provisional Irish Republican Army). Dave also recently stated at a gig at Rock City (Nottingham, U.K. 18/02/2008) that it was at this venue that he wrote Holy Wars, after they travelled there from Ireland in a bullet proof bus. "The Punishment Due" is based on the popular Marvel comic book character, The Punisher. The song is the last song played during the encore of all recent Megadeth shows, though in the middle they cut to Mechanix then cut back to Holy Wars. The "Holy Wars...the Punishment Due" video was made in August 1990 (around the time of the beginning of the Gulf War in 1990) and it contained news footage of various conflicts throughout the world during the 1980s and 1990s, the majority of which were of the conflicts in the Middle East. Brother will kill brother Spilling blood across the land Killing for religion Something I dont understand Fools like me,who cross the sea And come to foreign lands Ask the sheep, for their beliefs Do you kill on gods command? A country thats divided Surely will not stand My past erased,no more disgrace No foolish naive stand The end is near, its crystal clear Part of the master plan Dont look now to israel It might be your homelands Holy wars Upon my podium,as the Know it all scholar Down in my seat of judgement Gavels bang, uphold the law Up on my soapbox,a leader Out to change the world Down in my pulpit as the holler Than-thou-could-be-messenger of god Wage the war on organized crime Sneak attacks, repel down the rocks Behind the lines Some people risk to employ me Some people live to destroy me Either way they die They killed my wife, and my baby With hopes to enslave me First mistake...last mistake| Paid by the alliance,to slay all the giants Next mistake...no more mistakes| Fill the cracks in,with judicial granite Because I dont say it,dont mean I aint Thinkin it Next thing you know, theyll take my thoughts away I know what I said, now I must scream of the overdose And the lack of mercy killings

Metallica - Slither (Studio Version)

05:13
Slither is the sixth song on the thrash metal band Metallicas 7th studio album, ReLoad. The song is mainly about snakes but by technicality it actually isnt. Not one of their better songs or one of their more popular songs, but its still on the album. And a not so bad song. Don't go looking for snakes You might find them Don't send your eyes to the sun You might blind them Haven't I seen you here before? Oh, watch the puppets dancing Yeah, see the clowns fall down Hey, tie your tap shoes tightly Yeah, wear them into town See you crawling See you crawling Don't go looking for snakes You might find them Don't send your eyes to the sun You might blind them Haven't I seen you here before? There ain't no heroes here Hey, hey, hey Oh, play the game so nicely Oh, check, it's your move now Yeah, we're standing in this jungle Yeah, with some things I have found See you crawling See you crawling Don't go looking for snakes You might find them Don't send your eyes to the sun You might blind them Haven't I seen you here before? Have your heroes disappeared? See you crawling See you crawling So don't go looking for snakes You might find them Don't send your eyes to the sun You might blind them Haven't I seen you here before? No, there ain't no heroes here No, no Haven't I seen you here before? No, there ain't no heroes here Don't go looking for snakes You might find them Yeah, haven't I seen you here before? Metallica - Master of Puppets (Studio Version)

08:34
Master of Puppets is the second song on the self-titled third stuido album by the thrash metal band Metallica. It is the title track of their 1986 album with the same name. It shares a similar album structure with Ride the Lightning in having the title track as the second track, preceded by a shorter, high-speed typical thrash metal track. There are several such track similarities on Ride the Lightning, Master of Puppets, and ...And Justice for All. "Master of Puppets" is also notable for its long instrumental section beginning about three and a half minutes into the song. The song, as James Hetfield explained,"deals pretty much with drugs. How things get switched around, instead of you controlling what you're taking and doing, it's drugs controlling you." The lyrics "chop your breakfast on a mirror" for instance refer to the act of preparing powdered cocaine. The song has been ranked as the third greatest heavy metal song ever by VH1. In March 2005, Q magazine placed it again at number 1 in its list of the 100 Greatest Guitar Tracks. The song was ranked #2 in Martin Popoff's book The Top 500 Heavy Metal Songs of All Time. Popoff put together this book by requesting thousands of metal fans, musicians, and journalists to send in their favorite heavy metal songs. Almost 18,000 individual votes were tallied and entered into a database from which the final rankings were derived. It also came first in a recent 100 Greatest Riffs poll from Total Guitar. In Rolling Stone magazine's top 100 guitar songs it placed thirty third place End of passion play, crumbling away I'm your source of self-destruction Veins that pump with fear, sucking darkest clear Leading on your deaths' construction Taste me you will see More is all you need You're dedicated to How I'm killing you Come crawling faster Obey your master Your life burns faster Obey your master Master Master of puppets I'm pulling your strings Twisting your mind and smashing your dreams Blinded by me, you can't see a thing Just call my name, 'cause I'll hear you scream Master Master Just call my name, 'cause I'll hear you scream Master Master Needlework the way, never you betray Life of death becoming clearer Pain monopoly, ritual misery Chop your breakfast on a mirror Taste me you will see More is all you need You're dedicated to How I'm killing you Come crawling faster Obey your master Your life burns faster Obey your master Master Master of puppets I'm pulling your strings Twisting your mind and smashing your dreams Blinded by me, you can't see a thing Just call my name, 'cause I'll hear you scream Master Master Just call my name, 'cause I'll hear you scream Master Master Master, master, where's the dreams that I've been after? Metallica - Blackened (Studio Version)

06:39
Blackened is the first song on the thrash metal band Metallicas 4th studio album, And Justice For All. The band decided to use this song as the opening because it was one of the heaviest and best songs on it. Not to mention it is the only song on the album that gives writers credit to new bassist Jason Newstand. The songs lyrical meaning is simply talking about the world turning black and engulfed in darkness. Many fans say that the songs lyrical meaning is really talking about the upcoming nuclear holocausttheyve also been saying that sinse the album came out in 1988. Many fans also argue that due to this albums immense complexity in lyrics and instrumentalism, the following album was more basic and shorter (Metallica (Black Album)). Blackened is the end Winter it will send Throwing all you see Into obscurity Death of mother earth Never a rebirth Evolutions end Never will it mend Never Fire To begin whipping dance of the dead Blackened is the end To begin whipping dance of the dead Color our world blackened Bustering of earth Terminate its worth Deadly nicotine Kills what might have been Callous frigid chill Nothing left to kill Never seen before Breathing nevermore Never Fire To begin whipping dance of the dead Blackened is the end To begin whipping dance of the dead Color our world blackened Blackened Opposition...contradiction...premonition...compromise Agitation...violation...mutilation...planet dies Darkest color Blistered earth True death of life Termination....expiration...cancellation...human race Expectation...liberation...population...lay to waste See our mother Put to death See our mother die Smouldering decay Take her breath away Millions of our years In minutes disappears Darkening in vain Decadence remains All is said and done Never is the sun Never Fire To begin whipping dance of the dead Blackened is the end To begin whipping dance of the dead Fire Is the outcome of hypocrisy Darkest potency In the exit of humanity Color our world blackened Blackened

Metallica - Trapped Under Ice (Studio Version)

04:02
Trapped Under Ice is the fifth song on the thrash metal band Metallicas second studio album, Ride the Lightning. The songs lyrics talk about a man being trapped under a plate of ice and slowly freeszing to death. The man appearently cries out for help many times but nobody can hear him either because he is frozen, nobody is near, or nobody can hear him through the ice. I don't know how to live through this hell Woken up, I'm still locked in this shell Frozen soul, frozen down to the core Break the ice, I can't take anymore Freezing Can't move at all Screaming Can't hear my call I am dying to live Cry out I'm trapped under ice Crystallized, as I lay here and rest Eyes of glass stare directly at death From deep sleep I have broken away No one knows, no one hears what I say Freezing Can't move at all Screaming Can't hear my call I am dying to live Cry out I'm trapped under ice Scream from my soul Fate, mystified Hell, forever more Scream from my soul Fate, mystified Hell, forever more No release from my cryonic state What is this? I've been stricken by fate Wrapped up tight, cannot move, can't break free Hand of doom has a tight grip on me Freezing Can't move at all Screaming Can't hear my call I am dying to live Cry out I'm trapped under ice

Metallica - Carpe Diem Baby (Studio Version)

06:13
Carpe Diem Baby is the seventh song on the thrash metal band Metallicas 7th studio album, ReLoad. The song is a rather perverted song by some standards. Like many songs on the album, it isns one of their more popular ones, but its still a fairly good song. Hit dirt, shake tree Split sky, part sea Strip smile, lose cool Bleed the day and break the rule Live to win, dare to fail Eat the dirt and bite the nail Then make me miss you Then make me miss you So wash your face away with dirt It don't feel good until it hurts So take this world and shake it Come squeeze and suck the day Come carpe diem baby Draw lead, piss wine Sink teeth, all mine Stoke fire, break neck Suffer through this Cheat on dead air Under curve, noose the time Tear the map and shoot the sign Then make me miss you Oh yeah, then make me miss you So wash your face away with dirt It don't feel good until it hurts So take this world and shake it Come squeeze and suck the day Come carpe diem baby Yeah, suck it Live to win, dare to fail Eat dirt, bite the nail Strip smile, lose cool Bleed the day and break the rule Under curve, noose the time Tear the map and shoot the sign Then make me miss you Come on, come on Then make me miss you So wash your face away with dirt It don't feel good until it hurts So take this world and shake it Come squeeze and suck the day Come make me miss you Come carpe diem baby Come carpe diem baby

Metallica - For Whom the Bell Tolls (Studio Version)

05:05
For Whom the Bell Tolls is the third song on the thrash metal band Metallicas second studio album, Ride the Lightning. The song was composed by Cliff Burton, James Hetfield, and Lars Ulrich and the lyrics are based on Ernest Hemingway's novel For Whom the Bell Tolls. The chromatic introduction, which is usually mistaken for an electric guitar, is in fact Cliff Burton playing his bass guitar through distortion and wah-wah. The intro was written by Burton before joining Metallica. Burton first played it in a 12-minute jam at a battle of the bands with his first band Agent of Misfortune. The guitars in the song sound slightly sharper than a standard-tuned guitar should sound. However, this may not be intentional, as it is rumored that the song was sped up after recording. If the song was sped up too much or was sped up using low quality means, it would raise the pitch of the recording, thus apparently sharpening the guitar's tuning. However, James Hetfield's voice is the same pitch as the other songs on the album, therefore, most likely, only the pitch of the instrumentation was raised, not the speed. For Whom the Bell Tolls has also appeared on Metallica's live 1999 album S&M, in which Metallica performed with the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra. The live versions of For Whom the Bell Tolls are traditionally started off with a bass solo in memory of Burton. Make us fight on the hill in the early day Constant chill deep inside Shouting gun, on they run through the endless gray On they fight, for they're right, yes, but who's to say? For a hill, men would kill. Why? They do not know Stiffened wounds test their pride Men of five, still alive through the raging glow Gone insane from the pain that they surely know For whom the bell tolls Time marches on For whom the bell tolls Take a look to the sky just before you die It's the last time you will. Blackened roar, massive roar, fills the crumbling sky Shattered goal fills his soul with a ruthless cry Stranger now are his eyes to this mystery Hears the silence so loud Crack of dawn, all is gone except the will to be Now they see what will be, blinded eyes do see For whom the bell tolls Time marches on For whom the bell tolls

Megadeth - Holy Wars...single (Studio Version)

Metallica - Hit the Lights (Studio Version)

04:16
Hit the Lights is the first song on the album Kill Em All and the debut song by the thrash metal band Metallica. It was the first song that Hetfield and Ulrich worked on when forming Metallica. Early versions of the song can be heard on 1982's Metal Massacre compilation of emerging thrash metal bands, as well as its subsequent re-issue, and the group's first demo, No Life 'Til Leather. The demo's title happens to come from the first line of the song. Hetfield had brought the majority of the song to Ulrich from his old band, Leather Charm, and the two worked out different arrangements. This was one of only a handful of songs that were performed live with Mustaine as the lead guitarist. The lyrical theme of the song is about performing live, travelling on the road and living the 'heavy metal' lifestyle: it also refers to an appreciation of the band's many loyal fans. The song was covered by Black Tide on their debut album Light from Above. No life till leather, We are gonna kick some ass tonight! We got the metal madness, When our fans start screaming it's right...well alright, yeah! When we start to rock we never...stop again! Hit the lights! Hit the lights! Hit the lights! You know our fans are insane, We are gonna blow this place away! With volume higher, than anything today...the only way, yeah! When we start to rock we never...stop again! Hit the lights! Hit the lights! Hit the lights! With all out screaming, We are gonna rip right through your brain! We got the lethal power, it is causing you sweet pain...oh sweet pain, yeah! When we start to rock we never...stop again! Hit the lights! Hit the lights! Hit the lights! Hit the lights!

Metallica - Motorbreath (Studio Version)

03:06
Motorbreath is the third song on the album Kill Em All by the thrash meal band Metallica. Motorbreath is about living life in the fast lane and not ending up like others the same song and dance. It means to live life to the fullest and enjoy being alive. During early shows former lead guitarist, Mustaine, said that it was their version of a love song. This is the only song in the history of the band that is credited to Hetfield alone, one of two in which Ulrich doesn't have a credit (both on this album, the other is (Anesthesia) Pulling Teeth). It is the shortest Metallica song on an original studio album, at 3:08. Motorbreath is featured on the soundtrack to the game MTX: Mototrax. During the film Any Given Sunday the song can be heard playing in the locker room after one of the Miami Sharks' victories. The Song was covered a couple of times, most notably by canadian punkband D.O.A. on the Punk Tribute to Metallica-Sampler and in 2004 by Scott Ian and Page Hamilton. Living and dying laughing and crying Once you have seen it you will never be the same Life in the fast lane is just how it seems Hard and it is heavy dirty and mean Motorbreath Its how I live my life I can't take it any other way Motorbreath The sign of living fast It is going to take Your breath away Don't stop for nothing its full speed or nothing I am taking down you know whatever is in my way Getting your kicks as you are shooting the line Sending the shivers up and down my spine Motorbreath Its how I live my life I can't take it any other way Motorbreath The sign of living fast It is going to take Your breath away Those people who tell you not to take chances They are all missing on what life is about You only live once so take hold of the chance Don't end up like others the same song and dance Motorbreath Its how I live my life I can't take it any other way Motorbreath The sign of living fast It is going to take Your breath away

Metallica - Eye of the Beholder (Studio Version)

06:30
Eye of the Beholder is the third song on the thrash metal band Metallicas 4th studio album, And Justice For All. The songs complex lyrical meaning(like most of the album) deals with justice and whats right. It describes how justice is delivered not equally, but dependant on who you are. Many times the song talks about not having a choice or the choices we make are either controlled or limited. Which in my oppinion, they are. Do you see what I see? Truth is an offense You silence for your confidence Do you hear what I hear? Doors are slamming shut Limit your imagination Keep you where they must Do you feel what I feel? Bittering distress Who decides what you express? Do you take what I take? Endurance is the word Moving back instead of forward Seems to me absurd Doesn't matter what you see Or into it what you read You can do it your own way If it's done just how I say Independence limited Freedom of choice is made for you, my friend Freedom of speech is words that they will bend Freedom with their exception Do you fear what I fear? Living properly Truths to you are lies to me Do you choose what I choose? More alternatives Energy derives from both the plus and negative Do you need what I need? Boundaries overthrown Look inside To each his own Do you trust what I trust? Me, myself and I Penetrate the smoke screen I see through the selfish lie Doesn't matter what you see Or into it what you read You can do it your own way If it's done just how I say Independence limited Freedom of choice is made for you, my friend Freedom of speech is words that they will bend Freedom with their exception Do you know what I know? Your money and your wealth You silence just to hear yourself Do you want what I want? Desire not a thing I hunger after independence Lengthen freedom's ring Doesn't matter what you see Or into it what you read You can do it your own way If it's done just how I say Independence limited Freedom of choice is made for you, my friend Freedom of speech is words that they will bend Freedom no longer frees you Doesn't matter what you see Or into it what you read You can do it your own way If it's done just how I say

Metallica - The Four Horsemen (Studio Version)

07:11
The Four Horsemen is the second track on the album Kill Em All by the thrash metal band Metallica. The original song, called The Mechanix, had different lyrics, and was written by Mustaine during the time when he was in his previous band Panic. After Mustaine was ejected from Metallica, he included it on Megadeth's first album, Killing Is My Business... And Business Is Good!, with the title slightly shortened to just "Mechanix", with the original lyrics, and at a much faster tempo. After he left, Hetfield rewrote the lyrics and Hammett added a new, melodic guitar solo in the middle of the song. This section is rarely played when Metallica performs this song live. The Four Horsemen is a definite fan-favorite song of Metallica, and is commonly played live by the band. The title also served as a source for one of the band's nicknames. The lyrics, as the title suggests, are about the end of the world and the apocalypse, referring to the biblical text about the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. However, many believe the song is about Metallica themselves as the "horsemen." The lyrics refer to the horsemen as Time, Famine, Pestilence and Death. However, in the Apocalypse, Time is not represented by a horseman; War is. During the bridge of the song, bassist Cliff Burton's voice can be heard providing the backing vocals. By the last breath of the four winds blow Better raise your ears The sound of hooves knocks at your door Lock up your wife and children now It's time to wield the blade For now you have got some company The Horsemen are drawing nearer On leather steeds they ride They come to take your life On through the dead of night With the four Horsemen ride Or choose your fate and die OH, YEAH YEAH!! You have been dying since the day You were born You know it has all been planned The quartet of deliverance rides A sinner once a sinner twice No need for confession now Cause now you've got the fight of your life The Horsemen are drawing nearer On leather steeds they ride They come to take your life On through the dead of night With the four Horsemen ride Or choose your fate and die OH, YEAH YEAH!! TIME Has taken its toll on you The lines that crack your face FAMINE Your body it has torn through Withered in every place PESTILENCE For what you have had to endure What you have put others through DEATH Deliverance for you for sure Now there's nothing you can do So gather round young warriors now And saddle up your steeds Killing scores with demon swords Now is the death of doers of wrong Swing the judgment hammer down Safely inside armor blood guts and sweat The Horsemen are drawing nearer On leather steeds they ride They come to take your life On through the dead of night With the four Horsemen ride Or choose your fate and die OH, YEAH YEAH!!

Metallica - Where the Wild Things Are (Studio Version)

06:55
Where the Wild Things Are is the ninth song on the thrash metal band Metallicas 7th studio album, ReLoad. The song is once again, one of the less popular songs but nontheless a good song. So wake up sleepy one It's time to save your world Steal dreams and give to you Shop lift a thought or two All children touch the sun Burn fingers one by one, by one Will this earth be good to you? Keep you clean or stain through? So wake up sleepy one It's time to save your world You're where the wild things are, yeah Toy soldiers off to war Big eyes to open too Believing now under sun and moon But does heaven know you're here? And did they give you smiles or tears? No, no tears Will this earth be good to you? Keep you clean or stain through? So wake up sleepy one It's time to save your world You're where the wild things are, yeah Toy soldiers off to war You swing your ass all down Call to arms, a trumpet's sound Toy horses start the charge Robots, chessmen standing guard We shall never surrender All you children touch the sun Burn your fingers one by one Will this earth be good to you? Keep you clean or stain through? So wake up sleepy one It's time to save your world You're where the wild things are, yeah Toy soldiers off to war Off to war, off to war So close your little eyes

Metallica - To Live Is to Die (Studio Version)

09:50
To Live Is to Die is the eight song on the thrash metal band Metallicas 4th studio album, And Justice For All. The song is the bands fourth official instrumental song. Unofficially it is NOT instrumental due to speaking by James Hetfield on 7:33 through 7:51. He says: When a man lies murders some part of the world. These are the pale deaths which men miscall their lives. All this I cannot bear to witness any longer. Cannot the Kingdom of Salvation take me home?. These words were originally written by Cliff Burton (former bassist RIP). The song is the longest song on the album. Officially it is the fourth instrumental song by the band. Unofficially its not instrumental. Neither is (Anesthesia) Pulling Teeth. Both due to words/lyrics being spoke.

Metallica - Fight Fire With Fire (Studio Version)

04:46
Fight Fire With Fire is the first song on the thrash metal band Metallicas second studio album, Ride the Lightning. The song starts off with an acoustic or clean electric guitar. The song then evolves into an extremely fast-tempoed and heavy song. The song uses amazing speed and amazing distortion. The song incorperates that the band isnt much of an underground band anymore, but an above rising band. The band also demonstrates with the song that they are making a more aggressive approach on their music. Do unto others as they've done to you But what the hell is this world coming to? Blow the universe into nothingness Nuclear warfare shall lay us to rest Fight fire with fire Ending is near Fight fire with fire Bursting with fear We all shall die Time is like a fuse, short and burning fast Armageddon is here, like said in the past Fight fire with fire Ending is near Fight fire with fire Bursting with fear We all shall die Soon to fill our lungs the hot winds of death The gods are laughing, so take your last breath Fight fire with fire Ending is near Fight fire with fire Bursting with fear Fight fire with fire Fight fire with fire Fight fire with fire Fight fire with fire Fight fire with fire Fight fire with fire Fight fire with fire Fight fire with fire Fight!

Megadeth - Symphony of Destruction single (Studio Version)

04:06

Metallica - Ride the Lightning (Studio Version)

06:36
Ride the Lightning is the second song on the thrash metal band Metallicas second studio album, Ride the Lightning. The song is one of two on the album where credit is given in writing the song by Dave Mustaine (former lead guitarist). The songs lyrics are about a man strapped into an electric chair and awaiting his inevitable death. The song was inspired by the band when they read a story about a man pleading innocence and awaiting the death trial. This was back in the 1800s-early 1900s of course when quick death penalties were legal. The man is crying out for innocence and throughout the song he is constantly wanting out of his hell hes been placed in. Then as the song progresses, he realizes that the death is inevitable and he just accepts it. Time moving slow is referring to him waiting for the switch to be pulled for his death. Guilty as charged But damn it, it ain't right There's someone else controlling me Death in the air Strapped in the electric chair This can't be happening to me Who made you God to say?, I'll take your life from you Flash before my eyes Now it's time to die Burning in my brain I can feel the flames Wait for the sign To flick the switch of death It's the beginning of the end Sweat, chilling cold As I watch death unfold Consciousness my only friend My fingers grip with fear What am I doing here? Flash before my eyes Now it's time to die Burning in my brain I can feel the flame Someone help me Oh please, God help me They are trying to take it all away I don't want to die Someone help me Oh please, God help me They are trying to take it all away I don`t want to die Time moving slow The minutes seem like hours The final curtain call I see How true is this Just get it over with If this is true, just let it be Wakened by a horrid scream Freed from this frightening dream Flash before my eyes Now it's time to die Burning in my brain I can feel the flame

Metallica - No Remorse (Studio Version)

06:24
No Remorse is the eighth track on the thrash metal band Metallicas debut album Kill Em All. The song contains a variety of tempo changes and guitar riffs. It is popular in gaming circles for being the inspiration behind the first song of the first Doom game. The song is about not feeling any remorse or regret during battle in war. It also explains that not helping those in need is as good as killing them Like a loaded gun right at your face. The death metal band Cannibal Corpse recorded a cover of this song on the album Gore Obsessed. No mercy for what we're doing No thought to even what we've done We don't need to feel the sorrow No remorse for the helpless one War without end No remorse no repent We don't care what it meant Another day another death Another sorrow another breath No remorse no repent We don't care what it meant Another day another death Another sorrow another breath Blood feeds the war machine As it eats its way across the land We don't need to feel the sorrow No remorse is the one command War without end No remorse no repent We don't care what it meant Another day another death Another sorrow another breath No remorse no repent We don't care what it meant Another day another death Another sorrow another breath Only the strong survive No will to save the weaker race We are ready to kill all comers Like a loaded gun right at your face War without end No remorse no repent We don't care what it meant Another day another death Another sorrow another breath No remorse no repent We don't care what it meant Another day another death Another sorrow another breath Attack Bullets are flying People are dying With madness surrounding all hell's breakin' loose Souldiers are hounding Bodies are mounting Cannings are shouting to take their abuse With war machines going Blood starts to flowing No mercy given to anyone here The furious fighting Swords are like lightning It all becomes frightening you Know, death is near No remorse

Metallica - Fixxxer (Studio Version)

08:14
Fixxxer is the thirteenth and final song on the thrash metal band Metallicas 7th studio album, ReLoad. The song is the longest on the album, clocking at over 8 minutes. It is almost double the length of most of the songs on the album. Dolls of voodoo all stuck with pins One for each of us and our sins So you lay us in a line Push your pins, they make us humble Only you can tell in time If we fall or merely stumble But tell me Can you heal what father's done Or fix this hole in a mother's son Can you heal the broken worlds within Can you strip away so we may start again Tell me, can you heal what father's done Or cut this rope and let us run Just when all seems fine and I'm pain free You jab another pin, jab another pin in me Mirror, mirror upon the wall Break the spell or become the doll See you sharpening the pins So the holes will remind us We're just the toys in the hands of another And in time the needles turn from shine to rust But tell me, can you heal what father's done Or fix this hole in a mother's son Can you heal the broken worlds within Can you strip away so we may start again Tell me, can you heal what father's done Or cut this rope and let us run Just when all seems fine and I'm pain free You jab another pin, jab another pin in me Jab it Blood for face, sweat for dirt Three X's for the stone To break this curse A ritual's due, I believe I'm not alone Shell of shotgun, pint of gin Numb us up to shield the pins Renew our faith, which way we can To fall in love with life again To fall in love with life again To fall in love with life again To fall in love, to fall in love To fall in love with life again So tell me, can you heal what father's done Or fix this hole in a mother's son Can you heal the broken worlds within Can you strip away so we may start again Yeah, tell me, can you heal what father's done Or cut this rope and let us run Just when all seems fine and I'm pain free You jab another pin, jab another pin in me Oh yeah No more pins in me, yeah No more, no more pins in me No more, no more pins in me No more, no more, no more No, no, no
