Chanel Coco Mademoiselle Intense Which Mademoiselle Are You?

06:31
Have you tried the new Chanel Coco Mademoiselle Intense?I'm excited to be reviewing this new fragrance from Chanel and Comparing it to the Mademoiselle EDP and EDT. Do you want to feel carefree? That is exactly how the new Mademoiselle Intense is supposed to make you feel. I couldn't resist a cheeky spray first! Heavenly. As I've said the Intense is the latest of the Mademoiselle personalities. This one is classed as an Oriental Woody and was created by Olivier Polge (one of my favourite fragrance creators), he was behind the Flowerbomb for Viktor and Rolf, La Vie est Belle for Lancome, I am a huge admirer of both of these perfumes. The Chanel Mademoiselle Intense was launched in January 2018. Let's start with the bottle. It is in the classic Chanel design, simple, sleek and elegant, rather like Gabrielle Chanel herself. She designed the original bottle herself in 1919-1920 when she launched the first Parfums de Chanel. Since then the bottles have retained their original character, with just a few little tweaks throughout the years. The only difference in the Intense bottle is the clear crystal stopper as opposed to the opaque crystal stopper of the Mademoiselle EDP. Onto the juice itself which is a much deeper intense peach colour than the Mademoiselle EDP. Here I will admit, after spraying, I was pleasantly surprised by the Mademoiselle Intense. I had rather suspected it would just be a slightly heavier version of the Mademoiselle EDP (which had never really enthralled me as it doesn't lend well to my skin, or particularly last long on me). However, it definitely smells richer, warmer and ultimately more Intense. The fragrance opens with the really clean, crisp and fresh citric top notes of Sicilian Orange, Bergamot and Lemon. Making it light and carefree. Inviting you into the feminine heart of Rose, Jasmine and a luscious note of juicy fruits. So far the effect is wonderfully fresh, ultra-feminine but its when the delicious base notes come into play, that the real beauty of the scent reveals itself. This is down to two major factors. The use of an Ambery Accord, made from Tonka Bean and Vanilla, which gives this perfume a really addictive quality, it makes you want to continually keep smelling it. Then the extreme Infusion of Patchouli making it deep and seductive, ultimately complemented by White Musks and Labdanum. Combined the effect is heady, sultry and delectable. This fragrance was inspired by Gabrielle(Coco) Chanel herself, who was carefree, free-spirited and forward thinking, full of spirit and joie de vivre. The fragrance as a whole is fresh, light and luminous full of feminine sensuality, powerful and deeply irresistible, making it a beautiful, compelling and long-lasting, highly desirable essence. This would be an ideal fragrance for the lady who enjoys wearing fragrances such as the Flowerbomb, Giorgio Armani Si, La Vie est Belle, Black Opium, TomFord Black Orchid and such like. I feel the Mademoiselle Intense is worth trying. Always sample on your skin before you buy just to see that the fragrance stays true on your skin, also that you actually like it. Please be careful though, as the packaging of the Mademoiselle Intense and Mademoiselle EDP are so similar, the only difference is the lettering across the bottom of the box which reads Parfum Intense. just make sure you have the right bottle. If you are wondering how the Intense compares to the Mademoiselle EDP, you can watch my review I did earlier so please take a look. https://youtu.be/N8GETYYWAUE Briefly, the Mademoiselle EDP is classed as an Oriental floral, with top notes containing Orange and Orange Blossom. Again the same floral heart of Rose and Jasmine but with Mimosa instead of the fruity note.Similar base notes but without the warm Ambery Accord and without the Intensity of the Patchouli. So, in my Opinion, a lot lighter, softer and not as deep. Then we have the Mademoiselle Eau de Toilette an altogether fresher, lighter sweeter version, like a young carefree woman. The top notes in the EDT are fruity with Orange, Lemon and Grapefruit.Next, the heart which is Rose, Jasmine with the fruity nuance of Lychee added to make the perfume sparkle. A gentler base than the Intense and EDP of Vetiver, White Musk, Patchouli and Vanilla. All of these fragrances will take you from daytime to evening depending on the strength of fragrance you like. Beautiful if you have a wedding, a lot of ladies have picked the EDP version as their wedding day fragrances. So go ahead, find out which Mademoiselle are you?. Let me know..by leaving a comment. I hope you've enjoyed this review as much as I have. Don't forget to check out my other videos and to like and Subscribe. Thanks for watching and reading. I'll see you again soon on Ellie Smells. Flowerbomb Nectar by Viktor & Rolf Review

06:36
New Fragrance Alert! Flowerbomb Nectar is the latest fragrance from Viktor & Rolf and will be dropping onto the shelves in the UK on the 28th of February 2018. The bottle of the Flowerbomb Nectar is similar to that of the original Flowerbomb Eau de parfum by Victor & Rolf. However, it feels chunkier, more sold in the hand which gives the juice it contains a feeling of being concentrated, pure and refined. The juice itself is a deep, deep pink colour. Flowerbomb Nectar is classed as an oriental floral, as are the Flowerbomb EDP and the Flowerbomb Intense. Top notes of gunpowder give a slight metallic texture with a freshness of cassis (blackcurrant) and bergamot. The heart of this fragrance as you would expect bursts with florals. Jasmine, Orange Blossom and Osmanthus (Devilwood). The base notes bring a real impact to this fragrance yet also a mysterious lightening to the scent. Vanilla, patchouli, tonka bean and benzoin means this fragrance certainly has a depth of character. Sultry, sexy and mysterious. A fragrance suited for evening wear, however, the sparkling gourmand notes of the original fragrance are very much present. What is missing from this edition of the fragrance is the centifolia rose present in both the original Flowerbomb and the Flowerbomb Intense. Flowerbomb Nectar certainly has longevity and is a guaranteed compliment getter. Straight after filming this video a quick trip to the supermarket and two immediate compliments. The Flowerbomb Nectar differs from the Flowerbomb Intense in that the Intense has bergamot and tea in the top notes. The Flowerbomb Nectar definitely has more substance to it and I have the feeling that the Nectar will be replacing the Intense. The Flowerbomb Nectar certainly mirrors the looks of the original Flowerbomb in terms of the bottle. If you are a lover of the Intense I would recommend buying a bottle now as I don't think it will be around on the shelves for much longer! I think you will be pleasantly surprised by the Flowerbomb Nectar and will enjoy wearing it, particularly if you wear fragrances such as the Miss Dior, Poison Girl, some of the Prada's, Gucci or Mademoiselle. The more vanilla type fragrances or jasmine based like Mugler's Alien. Please, have a look out for this fragrance? Let me know what you think to it? Whether you think it's going to be a good one to sit alongside the original Flowerbomb or whether you're a lover of the Intense or the Nectar? Don't forget to check out my other videos. Chloe Nomade Eau de Parfum Review

05:51
Are you familiar with fragrances from Chloe? Stay with me while I review the latest creation, The Chloe Nomade Eau de Parfum. Hi and welcome back to Ellie smells. I do get asked quite a lot about Chloe fragrances and Who is Chloe? A lot of older ladies associate Chloe with the popular fragrance in the 70's. The Brand itself was founded in 1952 in Paris, by the Egyptian designer Gaby Aghion. She really wanted to make high fashion more accessible, more convenient and more affordable. She was a pioneer of Pret-a-port (ready to wear) instead of the pricy Made to Measure, Haute Couture. People were able to buy her garments off the Peg. Chloe released their first perfume in 1975 called Chloe (the one the older ladies remember). Then in 2008, they released the Chloe Signature which is the one most people are familiar with, in the small square bottle, floral and rosy. Latest release the Chloe Nomade EDP released March/April 2018. The bottle was inspired by the Chloe Drew handbag. This is a horseshoe-shaped bag worn over the shoulder or across-body, the interior has a suede lining and polished gold accessories. The bottle has the same polished gold stopper and also a thin suede almost tassel. The juice inside the bottle is a light peach/pink. It's quite easy to hold and spray. Onto the fragrance itself. The Creator is Quentin Bische, who has created fragrances for Jean Paul Gaultier, Azzaro and Mugler. This is described as a Floral Chypre. The inspiration behind the Nomade is to evoke the bold, adventurous free spirit in a woman, to do what she wants, wherever it takes her. When I spray this I am reminded of another Chloe, the See by Chloe. On the first spray, you are invited into a delicious orchard, fresh and wonderfully fruity. In the Top notes are Mirabelle Plum, Lemon, Bergamot and Orange. Zesty, citric and quite sweet as the perfume opens. As it starts to develop and settle, the subtle notes of the floral Heart of Freesia, sweet Jasmine, Rose and juicy Peach come into play. The citric top notes soften completely and the Heart Notes start to warm and deepen the essence, I'm especially picking up on the Peach. Soft, warm and feminine so far. The Base Notes really warm on the skin, quite woodsy and earthy. The Base contains Oakmoss, Patchouli, White Musk, SandalWood and Amberwood. A really earthy depth to the scent, slightly talcy, soft florals and warmth with a slight sweetness from the Plum and Peach. Overall an elegant, classy, feminine fragrance with light juicy nuances of ripe fruit. I think that this would be a good fragrance for ladies who wear the Chanel Mademoiselle EDP, Bottega Venetta, Alien, Si by Armani, Guerlain Mon or other Chypre/ floral woody perfumes. One for the ladies who like their fragrance to be long-lasting or who like a heavier essence, well worth going and having a spray or two. Myself, I have been pleasantly surprised by the Nomade and how it differs from the Chloe Signature which I said was more of a floral, fresh rose Bouquet. This is a unique essence, more complex and mysterious. I think if you are looking for a slightly unique fragrance for a special occassion or a wedding perhaps, this would be a great choice. So Please go in store and try this on your skin. Let me know your thoughts on which of the Chloe fragrances you like most? It's always lovely to read the comments and how we all differ to what we find attractive and what smells good on our skin. I Have been wearing this fragrance now for several hours and on complete dry down the scent is still warm and I smell the woods, but very little floral left. Still peach reminding me a little of Mitsouko by Guerlain. That's all for now on Ellie Smells, I'll see you next time. Take care for now, Bye xx Ellie x Don't forget to check out my other videos. Girl of Now Shine and Girl of Now Elie Saab Fragrance Review

11:30
Are you looking for a new addictive fragrance this summer? The new Girl of Now Shine from Elie Saab could be the nutty fragrance you are looking for! Two fragrances from Elie Saab, the Girl of Now and the new Girl of Now Shine. The original Girl of Now was created by Dominique Ropion and Sophie Labbe in 2017 and both have come together again to create the new Girl of Now Shine. The Girl of Now Shine is classed as an Oriental Floral but from the first spray, you definitely get the idea that it's addictive and the gourmand notes have the upper hand. The top notes have a lot of fruits but initially, when I smell it I'm not getting a lot of the fruit. But in those top notes is mandarin, pear and pineapple. However, the most noticeable essences on the first spray are the pistachio from the top notes and the bitter almonds from the heart notes. It's nuts! As the fragrance begins to settle the heart notes are making themselves known. To begin with the bitter almonds, but then the very feminine florals of orange blossom, then you have ylang-ylang and jasmine appear. So far, you've got those lightly toasted nuts, which sounds bizarre, with the florals and fruit. It is not a fruity fragrance, the fruits seem to be there to soften the fragrance. In the base notes, we have the idea of addiction again with vanilla but then there are iris and patchouli, the iris giving the fragrance a woodsy note. The Girl of Now Shine would appeal to those that like some of the oriental sweet gourmand fragrances such as the Mon by Guerlain or Bonbon by Viktor and Rolf or the YSL Opium or Black Opium, fragrances with sweet edible qualities. So how does the Girl of Now Shine compare to the original Girl of Now launched in 2017? Created again by Dominique Ropion and Sophie Labbe the original Girl of Now, from the first spray, has more impact and projection. Similar top notes to the Girl of Now Shine, with mandarin orange, pear and pistachio, but the original Girl of Now is not so 'nutty' for want of a better word. The heart notes of the Original Girl of Now are just slightly different. So there is the orange blossom as in the Shine, but then you have magnolia and almond instead of the 'bitter almond' of the Shine. I think it's the lack of the bitterness in the original fragrance that makes it altogether softer, warmer, more rounded with a sense of amber to it. As it begins to dry down you get a sense of depth to the original fragrance. That sense of depth is enhanced by the base notes of patchouli, cashmeran, almond milk and tonka bean. The tonka bean makes the fragrance deeper, heady and longer lasting. Between the original Girl of Now and the Girl of Now Shine, I feel that the original is ultimately more wearable and longer lasting. Comparing the fragrances on my skin the Girl of Now Shine smells 'cardboardy', like wet cardboard which I think is down to the bitterness of the bitter almond in the notes. The original Girl of Now fragrance smells warmer on my skin, definitely addictive. The original Girl of Now I feel would appeal to those that like the gourmandy sweet oriental fragrances I mentioned earlier, such as the Bonbon and Flowerbomb by Viktor and Rolf or the Mademoiselle Intense by Chanel which shares those patchouli amber notes in the Girl of Now by Elie Saab. Narciso Rodriguez Eau de Parfum Rouge Review

06:33
Have you discovered the beautiful world of Narciso Rodriguez fragrances yet? Eau de Parfum Rouge is the latest creation by Narciso Rodriguez. The Narciso Eau de Parfum Rouge is the fourth fragrance in the Narciso Eau de Parfum range, joining the original Eau de Parfum, the Narciso Eau de Toilette and the Narciso Eau de Parfum Pudre. The bottle is a transparent cube with a beautiful, striking, red internal lacquer. Clean lines, heavy and chunky with a square red top. Very easy to hold and quite beautiful. Automatically you know it is a Narciso fragrance. I'm loving this bottle! You may know from my Top Five Go To Fragrance video that I am a lover of Narciso Rodriguez fragrances. Particularly the Fleur Musk. Narciso Eau de Parfum Rouge is classed as a 'floral woody musk'. From the first spray, you do get the top notes of Bulgarian Rose and Iris, and I just adore Iris which is probably why I love this fragrance. But Narciso Eau de Parfum Rouge is not overtly 'rosy'. It's not a 'cold rose', instead, it is very warm and inviting. Quite sensual! In the heart, you have musk which Narciso Rodriguez uses in all of his fragrances. So far it really is such a beautiful fragrance! The base is heavier with more impact containing notes of White and Black Cedar. There's also Vetiver in there, making it quite earthy. Finally, there is Tonka Bean increasing the depth and impact of the fragrance. It really, really, is quite beautiful! Although it is quite musky the florals make it very easy to wear, especially at this time of year, but it does leave a wonderful, subtle trail of fragrance behind you. Just wonderful! For anyone that likes Chanel Chance, which is also cedar and iris-based, then give the Narciso Eau de Parfum Rouge a try. Also if you like fragrances such as the Si by Giorgio Armani or YSL's Black Opium. Definitely another fragrance I am going to have to add to my collection! Don't forget to check out my other videos. Mugler Alien Flora Futura Review

02:42
In this video I'm really excited to be reviewing the latest release from Mugler Fragrances Alien Flora Futura, the summer flanker to Alien, Released this week I'm sure that this fragrance will fly off the shelves. A woody oriental, with top notes of citron and Buddha wood this fragrance sparkles when it opens. Unlike the original Alien EDP, Flora Futura has a heart note of Queen of the Night (a night blooming flower) instead of jasmine. The base notes are white amber and sandalwood, making this fragrance creamy almost powdery. This perfume is fresh, floral and green. Definitely appropriate for spring and summer and a wonderful gift for valentines day if your valentine likes floral, quite sweet fragrances along the lines of Alien EDP, Gucci Bloom or Coco Mademoiselle or other floral or jasmine based fragrances. Please try before you buy, this is a fragrance that you need to try on your skin and let dry down. After wearing for around four hours I find that the sweetness of Flora Futura has lessened and leaves a soft, warm floral scent. Definitely better after dry down! Don't forget to subscribe and if you have tried this fragrance please leave me your thoughts?

Issey Miyake L'Eau D'Issey Pure Nectar Review

03:51
Issey Miyake L'Eau D'Issey Pure Nectar Review Miyake Issey portrait by Brigitte Lacombe Another new release for 2018 is the Issey Miyake L'Eau d'Issey Pure Nectar de Parfum. There seems to be a bit of a trend developing here! I have to admit from the start I was not a fan of the Issey Miyake L'Eau d'Issey or the yearly 'special editions'. However I hold my hands up and say, this one is rather good! The L'Eau d'Issey Pure Nectar has a simple yet beautiful perfume bottle, designed to represent a drop of water falling from a flower. It is rather elegant. The juice contained is a beautiful rose gold colour. Very simple, very beautiful and very effective. The fragrance was designed by Fanny Bal and Dominique Robion and is classed as a 'floral woody'. The original L'Eau d'Issey was intended as a fresh, simple alternative following those heavy scents and fragrances of the 1980's. Something that would suggest the scent of water on a woman or man's body. I must say that customers familiar with, but disliked, L'Eau d'Issey is pleasantly surprised that the Pure Nectar is indeed from Issey Miyake. When first applied the L'Eau d'Issey Pure Nectar is fresh but quite sweet with top notes of sweet pear and honey. The heart of this parfum keeps the freshness going with rose absolute and water accords. The base contains cashmeeram, a synthetic which is rather complex lending a musky amber note to this fragrance, ambergris and sandalwood. As the fragrance dries down it transcends through the rose into a soft, powdery base which lingers on your skin. Wearing the fragrance, I did find it lasted around three to four hours on the skin before I refreshed the fragrance, but I do prefer a fragrance that lasts and is more pronounced. I do recommend giving the Issey Miyake L'Eau d'Issey Pure Nectar de Parfum a try, please let me know if you were as surprised as I was by this fragrance? New Mugler Angel Muse EDT versus Angel Muse EDP

06:54
In this review, I will be reviewing the New Angel Muse Eau de Toilette from Mugler fragrances. I will be comparing the new Eau de Toilette version to the original Angel Muse Eau de Parfum. So which are you? The latest addition to the Angel Muse range is the Angel Muse Eau de Toilette, which was launched at the latter end of 2017. The bottle is very smooth, quite flat and incredibly tactile. The inspiration for the shape is a cosmic pebble. It is easy to hold unlike the star shape of the Angel EDP. The bottle is outlined in silver and in some cases rose gold. The juice is a lovely pinky red colour, supposedly reminiscent of the surface of the planet Mars. On the front of the bottle is the original Angel star etched into the glass. If you imagine that the Mugler Angel is the star, all the further creations orbit around it, all containing a familiar thread. The Angel Muse Eau de Toilette is classed as an Oriental Vanilla. It was created by Quentin Bisch, who has also created fragrances for Fragonard, Chloe and Jean Paul Gaultier to name but a few. Interestingly, when first learning how to create fragrances, he was told he wasn't gifted enough. He then went on to pursue a career in dance whilst maintaining his passion for fragrance, creating some really iconic, well-known fragrances. When I first spray this fragrance, it is quite fruity but soft with the top notes of Mandarin and Passionfruit. It draws you in, remaining fresh but picking up slightly sweet and sour almost tangy elements from the Passionfruit, well balanced with the Mandarin. Then comes the delectable heart notes which really makes this fragrance stand out. The heart in both the Muse EDT and EDP is a delicious Hazelnut Cream. Let's be honest, what lady can resist chocolate, Hazelnut or in this case both?( I know I can't, yum! )This wonderful chocolate and hazelnut creaminess make the perfume alluring and addictive. You just want to keep smelling it over and over, at the same time the top notes giving it that fresh, fruity edge. While this is settling on your senses, in comes the base notes of Akigalawood and Vetiver. The Angel Muse EDT and EDP were the first fragrances to create a Gourmand Vetiver essence. Usually, vetiver is mainly used in men's fragrance, making it rather earthy. In this particular perfume, it makes it soft, inviting almost a hint of chocolate vanilla, or like feeling a soft velvet brush against your skin. The Akigalawood ( a derivative from Patchouli) giving it a hint of woods, slightly spiced which with all these base notes combined make it long- lasting on the skin. The overall essence is soft, subtle, slightly fruity and ultimately addictive. If you are like me, not the greatest admirer of the Original Angel EDP with its heavy sometimes cloying notes of sweet honey and dark chocolate, which frankly smell unattractive on my skin and gives me headaches in its sweetness. This is a lovely alternative and I think would be worth a spray to try and I think you'll be surprised. I was. Now comparing the EDT version fo the Angel Muse Eau de Parfum. The Muse EDP was launched in April 2016. This is also classed as an Oriental Vanilla and again was created by Quentin Bisch. When I sprayed this perfume, I was at once struck by that same velvety softness but the EDP version is more woodsy, deeper and intense. Opening with top notes of Grapefruit, Berries and Pink Pepper. At once you receive the sharp fruity note of the Grapefruit with a kick of heat from the Pink Pepper. I can't say I can particularly smell the berries but again you are drawn into the heart of that delightful Hazelnut Cream, soft and luxurious. Followed by the heavier more intense base notes of Patchouli and Vetiver. The overall scent is soft, fresh, fruity and warm. This one is going to last the longest on your skin as it contains more woods and is deeper. Depending on how you want your fragrance to last on your skin, whether you like a perfume to be lighter, more subtle or if you just want a fragrance for daytime or for warmer days in the summer, or if you like your fragrance to have more impact you can choose between the two. The Muse Eau de Toilette for daytime the Angel Muse Eau de Parfum for evening perhaps? These fragrances would be particularly good additions for anyone who enjoys wearing Tom Ford Noir de Noir, TF Black Orchid and Velvet Orchid, YSL Black Opium, Giorgio Armani Si, Flowerbomb or other Gourmand Vanilla Perfumes. I have done some reviews on some of these fragrances so take a look. I hope you have enjoyed this review. Let me Know which of the Muse you would wear and leave me your comments. Giorgio Armani Si Passione Review

05:44
Have you said yes to Si yet? Well, here's my fragrance review of the latest fragrance from Giorgio Armani the new Si Passione. I am just loving both the bottle and the perfume! The Bottle is lovely and chunky like the Original Si EDP bottle and has the black, ultra tactile bottle top. However, it is the fabulously vibrant shade of red, which draws you to pick this up and try it. For interest sake, the particular shade of red lacquer in the bottle is the same as the Giorgio Armani 400 red lipstick, created to match the skin tone of every woman. Giorgio Armani wanted something that represents a strong, confident, graceful, feminine woman, who is also passionate and empowered. A bit like popping on a swipe of your favourite red lipstick and how that transforms the way you feel. The ambassador for the Si is Cate Blanchett, who represents the very essence of the brand, who has walked the red carpet dressed in couture outfits by Giorgio Armani. Next, the juice itself. The Si Passione is classed as a fruity floral. From the first spray, you can smell the syrupy notes of the Liqueur de Cassis, Lush Pear and the kick of Pink Pepper. Initially delicately sweet and fruity, which then becomes warm and feminine, as the addictive heart notes draw you in from May Rose Absolute, Red rose mixed with the deliciously warm powdery softness of Heliotrope and Jasmine. Onto the base notes that makes this fragrance last on the skin, Patchouli and Cedarwood, along with Vanilla which just seems to tie all of the other essences together. Being an Eau de Parfum, this is going to last on your skin. I have tried it, I was pleasantly surprised how long it lasted ( about 4-5 hours) and I did receive a compliment. The projection is not too overpowering, more of a subtle waft, more intimate rather than heady or strong. Therefore, I feel you could wear this perfume anytime of year, any time of day. The Nose behind the Si Passione is Julie Masse, who had previously worked on the Original Si with Christine Nagel. If you wanted to compare the two Si versions, the Original Si EDP is classed as a Chypre fragrance. Giorgio Armani wanted a chypre perfume in his collection of fragrances, as his grandmother had worn these style essences. Giorgio, however, by adding a really modern twist, has updated and brought the chypre perfume into the 21st century. With Fruity top notes of the Liqueur de Cassis (Blackcurrant), Heart of Vanilla, Base notes of White Musks and Oakmoss and Woods.A very popular, wonderfully elegant and longlasting perfume. My favourite of the Si EDP was the limited edition Si Nacre, which when sprayed gave not just the wonderful aroma of Si but also a beautiful, pearlescent, glittery sheen to the clothes and skin. However, this particular version of the essence is fast becoming my ultimate favourite. If you are thinking of buying for yourself or maybe a special lady, bear in mind what she may wear already. If she owns fragrances such as Paco Rabanne Olympae, YSL Black Opium, Miss Dior EDP(also created by Christine Nagel), Dior Poison Girl, Tom Ford Velvet Orchid or likes vanilla based essences, scents, candles or perfumes this will be a good one to try and buy. Especially as I believe it will be launching with gift with purchase, a cute red Armani cosmetic bag and a travel spray. Prices start from £49 for 30ml EDP. Let me know any comments if you manage to try this or which is your favourite in the Giorgio Armani Si range? Don't forget to check out my other videos. Here are some of my popular playlists. Have you tried the new Mugler Aura? I've been asked quite a lot about the aura. It's selling well this Christmas and has made it into my Top Ten Fragrances for Christmas 2017. Aura is from Mugler fragrances who were also the creators of Angel and Alien. All of their fragrances are very unique. The Angel and Alien are quite sweet fragrances. Where the Angel is honey and chocolate the Alien is Jasmine based. Aura is the latest one from Mugler and was launched earlier this year, 2017 and is classed as a woody aromatic, supposed to represent the aura of every woman, a blend of botanical freshness and feline sensuality. The top notes in this one are grapefruit and rhubarb leaf. The Heart notes are orange blossom and tiger liana, while the base notes are Bourbon vanilla and wolfwood. Jimmy Choo Fever Fragrance Review

08:31
Are you looking for a lovely new fragrance to take you into Autumn? Well, the new fragrance from Jimmy Choo, Jimmy Choo Fever could be the scent you are looking for! Straight away you will notice that it's a beautiful bottle! A rich, deep plum coloured Murano glass replicating the chandeliers inside Jimmy Choo retail shops. The bottle has a small square top with all embellishments in gold. The Jimmy Choo Fever fragrance was launched this month, August 2018. The creators of the fragrance are Natalie Lawson and Honorine Blanc who have a long list of fragrance credits having created fragrances for Bentley, Mugler, Azzaro and Juicy Couture. Jimmy Choo Fever is a beautiful Autumnal fragrance perfect for fall and is classed as an oriental vanilla. I've already had a few cheeky squirts of this, but one more, why not? As soon as you spray you get the juicy top notes. In here you have a beautiful black plum, lychee and grapefruit. But definitely, the overwhelming note is that of the plum. It's so gorgeous, soft and fruity. Not overwhelming, yet as I wear it, it warms beautifully on the skin. As the top begins to dry down the lovely floral heart notes of heliotrope, vanilla orchid and jasmine appear. I love jasmine. So the fragrance is definitely feminine, with the lovely sweet top note of plum and a clear essence of vanilla. So far, quite delicious. As the fragrance settles still further you get the woody base notes appearing. Sandalwood gives a soft, almost powdery note warmed further with tonka bean and benzoin. I think this is going to be a very popular fragrance. It is very well put together. Soft, feminine and warm, a waft of elegance yet contemporary. If you like fragrances such as Dior Poison Girl or even the Carolina Herrera Good Girl, Black Opium by YSL or even some of the more classic fragrances such as the Jean Paul Gaultier Classique which has vanilla essences in there with rose and also the Mugler Aura which again has those vanilla tones in them, slightly different but from the same genre, then the Jimmy Choo Fever is well worth trying! I absolutely adore the Jimmy Choo Fever, and I'm not particularly a huge fan of the original Jimmy Choo because on my skin it smells way too sweet! But I think Jimmy Choo Fever because it's got those warm woods, the fact that it's more fruity and rich, settles beautifully on me! So go along and try it! Don't forget that some of the fragrances that I said that it's similar to, I do actually have reviews on the channel that I've listed below. Don't forget to check out my other videos. Cartier La Panthere Eau de Toilette (2018)

05:49
Are you a Cartier Fragrance lover? I'm really pleased to bring you the latest creation from Cartier, the La Panthere Eau de Toilette. Hi, welcome back to Ellie Smells. Firstly, I'd just like to say a big thank-you to all my new subscribers and for all the lovely comments, I really enjoy reading them and interacting with you all. So please, carry on and it would be great if you could share with some of your friends. Anyway, back to the Cartier La Panthere Eau de Toilette launched recently 2018. A lot of you may be familiar with the Cartier brand. Jewellers since 1847, creating bespoke jewellery for Royalty and the rich and famous. It was Jeanne Toussaint (the lover of Cartier) who designed a range of jewellery in the 1940's, using animals, reptiles and birds as her inspiration. Cartier also nicknamed her La Panthere (meaning Panther). The Juice of La Panthere Eau de Toilette is a lovely pink, peach colour. The topper of the bottle is a gold rectangle almost cabochon like. A little pink band around the neck. However, the glass bottle has the face of a panther etched into the glass itself, on the front and the back. The Cartier logo is on the thin pink band. A really unique beautiful bottle. The nose behind the fragrance, who also created the original La Panther EDP in 2014, is Mathilde Laurent. she has created fragrances for Guerlain before starting her career with Cartier in 2005. La Panthere Eau de Toilette is classed as a Chypre Floral, meaning it contains Patchouli, Woods and Bergamot. When I first spray this onto the beautiful Cartier blotter, I can really smell Rose. In the Top Notes of this fragrance, there are Grapefruit and Bergamot. Although initially, I am not getting a lot of fruity essences. As it starts to settle, I am drawn to the soft inviting floral Heart notes of predominately Rose, Gardenia, Jasmine and Lily of the Valley. Soft and powdery with the added touch of sweetness of Pear and Pineapple and Green Notes, keeping it fresh. In the Depths of the Base Notes, is where you find the animalistic scent, much like a prowling panther. The notes Comprise of Musk, Sandalwood, Patchouli and Leather. Deep Warm and enveloping. Combined the fragrance is ultra feminine. soft, crisp and green. Not fruity, more woodsy and floral. A good fragrance for summer if the lady likes her fragrances more subdued, easy to wear and light. Myself, I prefer the La Panthere EDP, as I like something longer lasting, deeper and intense. If you like fragrances such as the Bottega Venetta, Narciso Rodriguez For Her, Chanel Mademoiselle EDP or Miss Dior (what used to be Cherie). This would be an ideal addition. Especially on warm summer days when you don't want anything too overpowering. Let me know what you think? If you can, try both the EDP and EDT and tell me which you prefer. Hope you like my ring, although not Cartier diamonds, a gift just as precious from my super little five-year-old grand-daughter. Diamonds one day!!perhaps. That's all for now. I'll see you again soon on Ellie Smells, Take care Bye. Ellie xx Don't forget to check out my other videos. Here are some of my popular playlists. Mugler Angel Fruity Fair Fragrance Review

05:23
Roll up! Roll up! Enjoy the fruity fun of the fair with the latest release from Mugler Fragrances, the Mugler Angel Fruity Fair! Are you looking for a fragrance that can conjure those magical summer holidays of your childhood? Then look no further than the latest creation from Mugler Fragrances, Angel Fruity Fair EDT! Each year Mugler do tend to release a limited edition variation of the Angel fragrances. I don't know if any of you have tried the Angel Eau Sucree? Fruity Fair is the latest Limited Edition on the Angel theme and was released about a month ago in March 2018. Angel Fruity Fair is classed as a Fruity Chypre, and as you will see the fragrance bottle is the Angel star shape and is a neon blue in colour with a silver colour. I believe that it only comes in a 50 ml size. The inspiration behind the fragrance is to transport the wearer back to your favourite childhood summer memories, everything that was really, really fun! When you first smell Mugler Angel Fruity Fair you do get a lot of the essences of the original Angel EDT, but it's not quite as sweet. There's a real fruity top note from lychee and red currant. It's not really sweet at all but soft, fruity and quite fresh. Lovely! In the heart note, you have the addition of a molecule called pomarose which contains essences or accords of apple, plum and raisin making Fruity Fair even more fruity! But then you have rose thorn which gives a green, almost woodsy essence in the mid. So far, Mugler Angel Fruity Fair is quite light, fruity and very reminiscent of the original Angel fragrance. But it's the base notes that take me back to my childhood because in there you have essences such as vanilla, whipped cream and the lovely, leafy woodsiness of patchouli. So the Mugler Angel Fruity Fair is soft, definitely fruity and as it dries down it becomes a really subtle, very light, wearable summer fragrance. A delicious clean fruit softened with a hint of vanilla. A really good buy for someone who wants something they can spritz over their skin to give a hint of fruitiness during the hot days of summer. An ideal perfume for someone who likes fragrances such as the Angel Muse EDT or the original Angel EDT or some of the fragrances like Tom Ford's Vanille or indeed other Mugler fragrances such as Alien. Something a little bit lighter than the Carolina Herrera Good Girl. Mugler's Angel Fruity Fair is a fragrance that I think would suit almost everyone of any age. It's a fragrance that is very easy to wear. If this is your first visit to my channel please consider liking and subscribing? https://goo.gl/5sWB8e Here are some of my popular playlists. Ralph Lauren Polo Ultra Blue (Review)

07:09
Which of the Ralph Lauren Polo Blue range is your favourite? This time on Ellie Smells, I'm reviewing the New Ultra Blue from Ralph Lauren and comparing it to the Polo Blue EDP. Really looking forward to the latest release from Ralph Lauren but first a little bit about the man himself as I often get asked who is Ralph Lauren? Born in 1939 in the Bronx, New York. After four years in the US Army, he became a salesman firstly for a glove manufacturer, then to a tie manufacturer. In 1967, he started the Ralph Lauren Corporation, designing his own fashionwear which was available exclusively at Bloomingdales, before opening his own store in 1986. The American Dream come true. The Polo Ultra Blue was launched in February 2018. The bottle reminds me a little of a hip flask. The sides are a cobalt blue in colour, the main part is a transparent light blue shade with the Polo logo to the front. (An interesting fact, the Polo logo is the second most recognised logo in the world after Coca-Cola).The stopper is a silver/chrome. The bottle is easy to hold and quite tactile. The Essence is classed as an Aromatic. The Ultra Blue is the third version. The original Polo Blue EDT was first, followed by the Polo Blue EDP and now the Ultra. When I first spray the Ultra Blue, it's fresh, zesty and lemony with a salty hit.It reminds me of Daniel Craig as 007, coming out of the water in those lovely little trunks! The notes are clean and crisp as the Top Notes contain Lemon, Citron, Basil and Verbena. You can smell the warm lemon and hint of herbs and the green of the Verbena ( shrub with green leaves that smell of lemon). Fresh, Summery and full of sunshine. On to the Heart notes of Salty Minerals and Ambertonic. The Ambertonic is a two-molecule creation which smells warm, musky and ambery. So far a lovely combination of zesty, fresh and warm almost zingy notes. The Base Notes of Woods such as Cedar, Musk and a deep hit of Salt. Making this fragrance Marine fresh in its nature, like the Salt from the Sea on a beautiful sunny day. Again, ladies, I'm having a vision of Daniel Craig coming out of the water. I thought Tim (my other half) should spray this on! He thinks I'm the only one who thinks I'm funny!!! As this fragrance dries down the Zest notes settle into a bright warmth, clean and inviting, the salt adds another dimension, masculine, energizing, though subtle. Both Tim and I are reminded of Issey Miyake, fragrances by Carolina Herrera. I think it has similarities to the Chanel Allure Homme Sport, with it's fresh, crisp citrus top notes. If the gentleman is looking for something that is easy to wear, an every-day clean, fresh, uplifting scent for those warm summer days this would be a good choice. Especially if he is a lover of the fresher essences already. As this has just been launched in the stores here in the UK, there is a promotion of a gift with purchase. The gift is a fabulous umbrella. We actually compared the Ultra Blue to the Ralph Lauren Polo Blue EDP. Now the EDP is altogether spicier. Due to having notes of Cardamon and Clary Sage and a deeper more Woodsy Base. If the gentleman prefers a fragrance to be longer lasting, have more impact and likes spicier essences, then the one of choice would be the Polo Blue EDP. Again it is down to personal preference. I always advise trying on the blotter, then skin to see which suits you best. Tim tried both. At first, he liked the EDP version best but after they had both dried down completely, he liked the way the Ultra Blue settled on his skin more. Myself I liked the Ultra Blue on him for daytime but the EDP would be more suitable for long hot summer evenings. If we ever get any here in the UK!! Anyway, let me know what you think? What fragrance do they remind you of? Have a fab Easter Weekend, we have just had the Arrival of a beautiful little Grandson. See you soon on Ellie Smells, Bye for Now. Aramis Tobacco Reserve Fragrance Review

06:54
Aramis Tobacco Reserve, the new fragrance from the Estee Lauder Group, certainly fits the current trend in men's fragrance for longer wearing fragrances with deeper base notes! Created this year, 2018, by Edouard Fléchier Aramis who has created fragrances for the likes of Christian Dior, Davidoff, Christian Lacroix and Valentino, Tobacco Reserve is the latest fragrance in the Aramis Range and is classed as a woody aromatic. The original Aramis range was created in 1963 by Estee Lauder as a complete range of men's toiletry products. The Aramis Tobacco Reserve has a similar bottle design to the original Aramis, a rectangular chunky bottle with the Aramis logo and gold top. The juice is darker and more green in colour. From the first smell of this fragrance, I get sweet, tobacco, slightly powdery and mmm...definitely fruit in the top notes. The top notes of the Aramis Tobacco Reserve are clary sage and cassis, which is blackcurrant. So the top notes of the Tobacco Reserve are both spicy and fruity. I'm quite liking that! In the heart notes of the Tobacco Reserve, you have the heady and heavy tobacco leaf. There are also other spices such as nutmeg and orris which makes the fragrance warm. The base notes of tonka bean and oakmoss are definitely woody and make Aramis Tobacco Reserve a really long lasting fragrance. Altogether the Aramis Tobacco Reserve is definitely 'woodsy', with a fresh, spicy and fruity note. Slightly sweet...Timbo does not pick up the sweetness but he is more concentrated on the tobacco which he loves. More of a cigar tobacco than a pipe tobacco but the tobacco is very much the centre of this fragrance as it should be. If you like fragrances such as the Creed Taberone or the Ralph Lauren Polo Green, also the Tom Ford Tobacco Oud or the Mugler Pure Havane then the Aramis Tobacco Reserve is definitely a fragrance to go and try on your skin. Bleu de Chanel Parfum Fragrance Review

08:22
Welcome to the world of Channel fragrances for men and the new Bleu de Chanel Parfum! I'm super excited to be reviewing the latest fragrance release from Chanel, as some of you will know I absolutely love the House of Chanel. So the Parfum, the latest in the Bleu de Chanel range, was launched in the UK this last week, May-June 2018. One of my reasons for reviewing the Bleu de Chanel Parfum is that I wanted to put a few questions to rest. Quite a few people will be thinking that the Parfum is just another flanker in the line and identical to the Bleu de Chanel Eau de Parfum. Are they right? Let's see! The nose behind the creation of the Bleu de Chanel Parfum is Olivier Polge. But first, a little bit about the fragrance bottle. The bottle design declares that the Bleu de Chanel Parfum has place in the Bleu de Chanel range along with the Bleu de Channel Aftershave, The Bleu de Chanel Eau de Toilette and the Bleu de Channel Eau de Parfum. The bottle is the same shape and the same colour, the only difference being the name and logo on the front of the bottle and the bottle cap are in gold. The Bleu de Chanel Parfum is classed as a woody aromatic. From the first spray you can tell the difference between the parfum and the EDP. The breadth, depth and impact of this fragrance is substantial from the outset. At first it is difficult to separate the Bleu de Chanel Parfum into top, heart and base notes, such is it's initial punch! Really intense, powerful, warm and woodsy. I love this fragrance! In the top notes you have lemon zest, bergamot and mint which keeps the Bleu de Chanel Parfum fresh. Then you have Artemisia (a new one on me I admit), a bitter note that really brings out the florals in the heart of this fragrance. The heart contains lavender and a soft geranium. Geranium can sometimes be a harsh essence, but in the Bleu de Chanel Parfum the geranium is warm, delicate yet still masculine. A leafy floral. Then you have green notes, once again keeping the fragrance fresh, followed by a hint of pineapple. Although it's not a particularly fruity fragrance and I'm not really getting a lot of pineapple out of it. But yes, so far it is a really, really delicious fragrance. It really is! Then the potent, heady base note begins to come through. In there you have cedar wood, sandalwood, tonka bean and you have amberwood. There is a lot of wood packed in there bolstered by something called Iso E Super, which again was something new. Iso E Super is a synthetic with notes of cedar and sandalwood. So just like the artemisia did with the florals, the Iso Super E combines, increases and enhances the woods. So Bleu de Chanel Parfum is clean, warm and definitely woodsy, but altogether it is absolutely fantastic! So for those of you thinking 'it's just another Bleu de Chanel flanker I'm not going to try it' please go into store and try this fragrance. I think that you are going to be impressed. Olivier Polge has used some of the top notes from the Bleu de Chanel EDT, so the Parfum is definitely part of the same family, but the impact, longevity and projection of the Parfum is totally different to the EDP. If you like a fragrance that's going to last on the skin, have that impact, have that longevity and have that projection throughout the day but is not going to be too heavy, then the Parfum is definitely one to try. Especially if the gentleman wears fragrances such as Prada L' Homme which has those lavender, herbal, fresh, woodsy notes to it. Perhaps they wear something like the Creed Millésime Impérial or the Aventus as the Aventus has that pineapple top note. The Bleu de Channel Parfum would provide similarities but is also something very different. Don't be put off by the name, thinking it is just another flanker. Bleu de Chanel Parfum is definitely a fragrance to try. I'm really impressed. Well done Chanel! Don't forget to check out my other videos. Here are some of my popular videos and playlists. Jimmy Choo Blossom Special Edition New Release

04:49
I'm thrilled to be bringing you another new release, the Jimmy Choo Blossom Special Edition! This new fragrance from Jimmy Choo hit the shelves in the last few days but isn't waiting around! A real compliment getter it's a beautiful fragrance for the spring and summer seasons. Sweet and fresh with exotic fruits and grapefruit in the top notes, frangipani in the heart notes and ambroxin and sandalwood in the base, Blossom Special Edition really does bring a promise of spring and summer. Very wearable with a reasonable projection, I refreshed the perfume a couple of times during the day but I do like a heavier and more noticeable perfume. The bottle is nice and chunky, with a design reminiscent of a photography flashgun, the bottle cap capturing the look of the chandeliers inside Jimmy Choo boutiques. The juice inside is a delicate peach colour. If you enjoy wearing perfumes such as CHANEL Chance Eau Fraîche or Prada Milano Infusion d'Iris or perhaps the sweet berry fragrances from Juicy Couture then give the Jimmy Choo Blossom Special Edition a try? I've also included a very quick review of the Original Jimmy Choo. The original and the Blossom Special Edition are two very different and unrelated fragrances. The original Jimmy Choo is very sweet with top notes of pear and Italian Orange, heart notes of Tiger Lily and Toffee in the base! If you wear fragrances and scents such as Bonbon and Flowerbomb by Viktor and Rolf or Angel by Mugler then you may enjoy wearing the original Jimmy! Please don't forget to subscribe to Ellie Smells as I have many more new releases coming up in the next few days and weeks! Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire Ma Robe Hippie Chic Review

04:22
I'm really excited to bring you my review of the latest release from Guerlain, La Petite Robe Noire Ma Robe Hippie Chic! Guerlain is my absolute favourite Fragrance House! They began creating fragrances around 1829. In 1889 they created a fragrance called Jicky. This fragrance was the first ever fragrance to use synthetics and very much became the blueprint for how we create fragrances today. My personal favourite Guerlain fragrances are the vintage, older fragrances such as L'Heure Bleue and Vol de Nuit, but this fragrance really surprised me! I have to admit that I've not been a huge fan of the previous La Petite Robe Collection, but the Hippie Chic is absolutely delicious! The bottle is a graduated purple colour and is based on an original design by Raymonde Guerlain. The bottle was originally used for L'Heure Bleue and Mitsouko and constructed from Baccarat Crystal. La Petite Robe Noire Ma Robe Hippie Chic is classed as a fruity floral with top notes of cherry, rose water and almond. A heart of black tea and a base of tonka bean and patchouli give it depth and make it a long-lasting fragrance. I wanted to give a big thank you and a shout out to my friend Gail who brought me this bottle. I know this perfume has only just been released and I'm not sure if it has actually hit the shelves yet! Gail is a member of the International Perfume Bottle Collectors Association whose members collect fragrance bottles from across the broad history of fragrance. Gail herself is a collector of modern perfume bottles but does have some beautiful classics among her treasures! If you get the opportunity please do visit the International Perfume Bottle Association's website, here's the link https://www.perfumebottles.org and here's a link to the UK Chapter of the IPBA http://www.ipba-uk.co.uk/ I was very lucky to attend the UK Conference of the IPBA last year 2017. Coach Floral and Coach for Men Review

08:55
This time I'll be reviewing the two latest fragrance creations for men and women from Coach. The Coach Floral for Women and Coach for Men. I do get asked quite often about Coach. Who is Coach? And what does Coach do? Coach was formed in 1941 in a small loft space in Manhattan New York where six leather workers created leather accessories for men. In 1946 they were joined by handbag factory owners Miles and Lillian Cahn. Lillian introduced bags and accessories for women into the Coach collection. I will start with the latest fragrance from Coach the Coach Floral Eau de Parfam. Let's take a look at the bottle first? The bottle is solid glass, flat smooth and tactile. The Coach logo is embossed into the front of the bottle. The top of the bottle is a copy of the metal fastening used on a Coach bag, and by turning the top in a similar manner to a bag clasp the bottle can be operated and the perfume sprayed. The bottle also has the same tags as displayed on Coach bags, one with the Coach logo and the other the leather floral motif of the Tea Rose. the Floral EDP was launched in January 2018 and is classed as a Floral Woody Musk. The noses behind this particular creation are Shyamala Maisondieu, Natalie Garcia-Cetto and Nadege Le Garlantezec. On the first spray, you definitely get the hit of fruity floral, quite sweet. I think the fragrance was created with the all-American woman or girl, which are busy and fun-loving, in mind. In the top notes, you have citrus, combined with mashed pineapple and also pink pepper, which just gives it an edge. The heart notes are based on the tea rose with Sambac Jasmine and also Gardenia. So very floral, quite light and feminine. Then you've got the creamy base notes of Patchouli, Woods and Musk. It's the Musk that really comes into play. Altogether it's a very wearable fragrance, quite girly, but being an Eau de Parfum will last on your skin. It's a subtle fragrance and not too heavy. An ideal summer fragrance for those hot days when you don't want to wear anything too cloying or heavy. This one would be an ideal fragrance if the lady likes fragrances along the lines of the Crystal Noir by Versace, some of the Juicy Couture and even the Marc Jacobs Daisy range or other fruity florals and slightly musky fragrances. Well worth giving it a try but for the ladies that like a heavier fragrance this one may not be for you as Coach floral is light and girly. Coach For Men was created in the summer of 2017 by Anna Flippo and Bruno Jovanovic and it's classed as a Woody Aromatic. The bottle is glass and almost flask like the colour a graded black fading in opacity. Again the bottle features the bag clasps and tags of the Coach Bag. I've not really tried this one but my other half Tim tried it yesterday, wasn't very inspired by it initially, but after half an hour he said he really liked it. I think he's hoping this one's going to be one of his summer fragrances! When you first smell the top notes, it's quite juicy, fruity and that's because you've got Nashi Pear in there. There's Grapefruit and more Citrus from Bergamot and also a hint of Lavender. It's very crisp and fresh initially, and then you start to get the hint of the heart notes with a kick of spice from Coriander and Cardamom. The heart also contains a hit of floral Geranium, but nothing too heavy or too feminine. So it's settling really quite nicely, really clean. So far, it's a really good everyday fragrance, but then onto the base notes. Vetiver makes it clean but earthy. There's also Suede and Ambergris. The Ambergris giving a real musky hit! Altogether it's drying down very nicely. If the gentleman likes the Sauvage by Dior, the Chanel Bleu, maybe even the Jean Paul Gaultier's or the Versace Eros, Coach for Men would be a fragrance to try. I think this is going to be a lovely fragrance for summer or for the office. Clean, crisp and fresh with that bit of longevity from the Woods and Musk contained in the base note. Zadig and Voltaire This is Him Review

05:12
Zadig and Voltaire's This Is Him, launched in 2016, I know is not a new fragrance, but I think it is a fragrance that I think has been quite underrated! I know my other half Tim absolutely adores this cologne and he's been asking me to review it for you. Zadig and Voltaire are a fashion house created in 1997 by Thierry Gillier, grand-nephew of André Gillier, the co-founder of Lacoste. The brand itself, quite rock chicky, cashmere, leather and chunky knits combine with skull and angel motifs. When the fragrance was released here in the UK what they wanted was something that combined freshness for a man, but also something more woodsy, with a depth to it. The creators of This Is Him were Nathalie Lorson and Aurelien Guichard both very prolific and respected perfumers with fragrances and perfumes created for and including Dolce and Gabanna, Azzaro, Mugler Fragrances, Bulgari to name just a few. And for the interest of Tim here, Nathalie Lorson created two fragrances, one that he absolutely loves, which is the Bentley and the Bentley Intense. The Zadig & Voltaire This is Him! Is classed as an oriental woody. The top notes are fresh with grapefruit and black pepper. In the heart, there is incense, which gives this fragrance a delicious smokiness along with vanilla. A soft sandalwood gives the base a light powdery-ness. From the first smell this fragrance is divine! If you are looking for something a little different then it is worth tracking this fragrance down, especially if you like fragrances like the Prada l'Homme, or Aventus by Creed, Dior Sauvage or Dolce & Gabanna's The One! Ralph Lauren Woman Fragrance Review

08:19
Launched in 2017 but hit the shelves here in the UK in September 2018, Ralph Lauren Woman is absolutely delicious! Created by master perfumer Anne Flipo, Ralph Lauren Woman is classed as a floral fragrance. It's been some time since I last reviewed a fragrance. Catching a cold and temporarily losing my sense of smell meant that for three weeks 'Ellie couldn't smell'! But it is great to be back and I've been so, so excited to bring you a review on this fragrance and I can revel in its deliciousness! From the first spray, you can immediately tell that this is an ultra-feminine and warm fragrance. As I take in the top notes it's slightly juicy with pear, rhubarb and blackcurrant, but it's not really citrusy. It's fresh and warm. I can definitely smell the pear and blackcurrant. As it begins to dry down it opens out into a lovely floral heart where you have tuberose, one of the main essences of the Ralph Lauren Woman, and there is orange blossom and Turkish rose. So far a gorgeous floral heart melding and blending with those juicy top notes. Absolutely wonderful! As the dry down continues the vibrant woody notes of the base come into play with Sandalwood making it powdery and creamy and I'm getting the very slightest hint of hazelnut. Nothing overwhelming. It's warm with a hit of woods and rosiness softened and sweetened by the pear. Very feminine, mysterious and sultry. Those woods are going to make this a fragrance with good longevity. When I've worn it, even when I couldn't smell, Timbo commented that the Ralph Lauren Woman lasted a good six hours and more on my skin. The Ralph Lauren Woman is a wonderful fragrance for someone that likes to dress up or down. It can be worn casually during the day but is equally heavier and warmer for the evening. If you like fragrances with blackcurrant and woods, such as the Giorgio Armani Si or perhaps the YSL Black Opium with those blackcurrant notes or the Dior Poison Girl with almonds then the Ralph Lauren Woman is definitely a fragrance to try! International Fragrance Day My Top Five Go To Fragrances

10:24
Bonjour, Guten Tag, Hola, Ciao, G'Day , Hello and Welcome to Ellie Smells.Today I'm going to be celebrating International Fragrance Day 21st March. It's International Fragrance Day! I' ve been deliberating about what fragrances I will be reviewing for today and decided it would be a good way for you to find out a little bit about me and the fragrances I wear. So I have picked my top 5 go-to fragrances, just some that I may spray and wear more regularly than other favourites that I own. In at number 5 is the Fleur Musc for Her from Narciso Rodriguez. This fragrance was a surprise for me when I first sprayed it on my skin. The essence of this fragrance is floral, with opening notes of Rose and Peony. In the heart notes of all the Narciso Rodriguez fragrances for Her contains Egyptian Musk. This is an essence that he loves as it was once gifted to him by his sisters and he uses it in most of his perfumes. So with the heart notes comes the lovely warmth of the fragrance combined with the Amber and Spices. Altogether a phenomenal fresh floral with a wonderful warmth on the skin. I receive so many compliments when I have worn this, customers have even bought it after smelling it on me. However, I don't wear the fragrance just to obtain compliments, I genuinely believe if you love the way a fragrance smells on you, if it makes you feel good and you love it, then enjoy wearing it. In at no 4 is Ma Griffe by Carven. Anyone that knows me knows I love fragrances with history and vintage. Unfortunately, this is not a vintage bottle this was created in 2013. The original Ma Griffe, however, was created in 1946 by Jean Carlos. A sad tale as Jean Carlos lost his sense of smell when he created this fragrance. The House of Carven began in 1945 by Marie Louise Carven, who designed couturier items for petite ladies, she was also one of the first to start pret-a-porter and also patent the push-up bra! Ma Griffe is a clean fragrance, with aldehydes and floral heart notes. It seems to be a bit of a thread that I tend to be drawn to green fresh fragrances. This has also exotic nuances and a warm, heavy base. I definitely can smell Lily of the Valley and the Aldehydes give it a real sparkle. I'll have a cheeky spray, so I'll be wearing Ma Griffe which also means my claw as my selected fragrance for International Fragrance Day. I adore everything about this perfume and the bottle. At my number 3 spot is the Honour by Amouage. This is a relatively new find for me. The bottle is based on the Ruwi Palace, the fragrances are created in Oman. The Sultan of Oman wanted to create perfumes using Omani essences to reflect the Omani Culture. The Honour contains the Omani Rose and has a white floral heart note. The inspiration for the Honour perfume was the tragic story of Madame Butterfly. The white floral bouquet heart, represent unrequited love. After spraying this the essence again is green and clean with an overwhelming fragrant Jasmine which is just delicious. Again I receive lots of compliments on this fragrance. The Amouage fragrances are very unique. They contain forty percent essences, making them stronger than most Eau de Parfum and they are oil-based, so they last on the skin longer. I tend to layer with the body lotion and shower gel making it more intense and deep, I prefer to wear this in the evening. Again the Amouage fragrances are not available everywhere and are a considered purchase if you get the opportunity they are worth a try. Onto my number two which is The Chanel Chance Eau Fraiche. This for me is again a crisp, clean fresh perfume. All of the Chance fragrances contain Iris and Cedar. The Eau Fraiche has added Citric top notes. This is a fragrance I can spray every day that reminds me of freshly laundered linen and makes me feel energised. Chance in french means luck, the bottle is based on the wheel of fortune and the bottle top is the dice. So you roll the dice and take your chance! I love this one for summer, you can spritz liberally on those hot days and just feel cool and crisp and fresh. My Number One. Again from Chanel is the Coco Noir Parfum. This is quite different from the others. This is warm and spicy, combining notes from the original Coco and also the fresh notes of Orange Blossom and Bergamot from the Coco Mademoiselle. This to me is just compelling, like a hug in a bottle. I tend to wear this on cooler days or if I'm feeling under the weather. It's like wrapping yourself in a fluffy blanket, drinking a hot chocolate or your favourite tipple, watching an old film. Heaven. So these are my top five go-to fragrances. What are yours? I would love to see your comments on what you mostly wear. Have a fantastic day and smell fabulous. See you soon. Top Five Summer Fragrances For Men (2018)

09:00
At last, summer is here! If you are looking for that perfect summertime fragrance gift for a man...Father's Day is not far away...here are my Top Five Summer Fragrances for Men for 2018. In at Number Five is the Dolce and Gabanna Light Blue Intense. Created and released for Summer 2017 being 'Intense' it does differ from the Original D&G Light Blue in that it is stronger and will stay on your skin longer. Classed as a woody aquatic the top noted have citruses such as mandarin and grapefruit. You can really pick out that sweet mandarin! In the mid notes you have juniper and a salty marine accord while in the base you musk and amber wood which are the notes that make the fragrance long-lasting. An ideal summertime fragrance for someone who wants to smell clean, crisp and fresh! At number four is an oldie but a goodie and that's the Issey Miyake L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme. In the 1990's Issey Miyake decided to create a fragrance that was a complete contrast to the heavy fragrances that typified those of the previous decade. L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme was designed to replicate how water would smell on a man's skin. Classed as a woody aquatic L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme contains lovely oriental essences. The top notes are zesty with bergamot, Japanese yuzu, lemon and tarragon. Just lightly spicy. The heart notes have water lily and nutmeg which gives the fragrance a warmth. The base notes are particularly woodsy with sandalwood, cedar, vetiver, musk and tobacco. Altogether a fragrance that is zesty, clean with a hint of spice and just a touch of warmth. At number three is another slightly older fragrance created in the mid-nineties and it's the Giorgio Armani Acqua di Gio. An aromatic aquatic with really warm top notes of bitter orange, bergamot, lime and a hint of jasmine. A floral more spicy heart note with cyclamen, rose, coriander and nutmeg just heating through the zesty citrus of the top notes. The base has oakmoss, cedar and white musk. As a whole, the fragrance smells clean, very zesty with a hint of spice and warmth. In the number spot is a fragrance by Yves Saint Laurent and it is the 'Y'. A very masculine fragrance classed as a woody aromatic. The top notes have sharp and juicy fruits, a sparkling white aldehyde with bergamot and ginger, the ginger giving the fragrance a real zinging heat! The heart is almost floral with geranium and violet leaf but tempered by sage. The salty, musky base drives the masculinity of this fragrance with ambergris, fir balsam, cedar, musk and incense. A heavier, more masculine fragrance than the others we've tried in this video so far, but one that I think is going to be very popular this summer. And now for the number one spot and it is a fragrance that is a favourite of mine from a wonderful fragrance house and it is Himalaya by Creed. I know many will be familiar with Creed Aventus and Creed Himalaya often gets overlooked but during the summertime, it is such a popular fragrance. Designed by Olivier Creed after a climb in the Himalayan Mountains this fragrance is classed as an oriental woody. On first smelling this fragrance, you can really pick out the cool yet fruity notes of grapefruit, bergamot and lemon. Himalaya contains an essence of gunpowder which makes this fragrance quite distinct. The heart is a simple, uncluttered and pure sandalwood. Like many Creed fragrances, the base contains essences of ambergris, cedarwood and musk. Creed Himalaya is so very cool, just like those ice-capped mountains and so very different from other summer fragrances. Don't forget to check out my other videos. Carolina Herrera Good Girl Good To Be Bad

05:16
To celebrate the UK release of Good Girl by Carolina Herrera Connie and Ella have popped in to lend a hand with the review! Although released in the USA back in September 2016 Carolina Herrera's Good Girl has only just hit the high street shelves in the UK this weekend. Created by Louise Turner the perfumer behind such fragrances as Dior Fahrenheit 32, the Jimmy Choo Blossom, and Love and Si by Chloe. Carolina Herrera Good Girl is classed as an Oriental Floral. With a cheeky spray, I do get a sense of the Olympia by Paco Rabanne I think that is due to the gourmand essences in Good Girl. In the top notes, you have coffee and almond. Good Girl has a floral heart of sambac jasmine, tuberose and orris. The base of tonka bean, vanilla, cacao and sandalwood is deeper and mysterious. I've been wearing this fragrance for a few days and I've found that after spraying initially for maybe about 20 minutes Good Girl is quite warm, deep and heady. However, after an hour on my skin, I found I could not smell the fragrance. Connie and Ella loved the fragrance but are big fans of the more gourmand, vanilla type fragrances and Good Girl does last longer on their skin than mine. So try before you buy! If you like fragrances like Poison Girl by Dior, Olympia by Paco Rabanne or Mon by Guerlain, then give Good Girl by Carolina Herrera a try! The bottle of Good Girl in the shape of a stiletto heeld shoe is beautiful and will appeal to the bottle collectors. Although the perfume bottle looks black it is, in fact, a deep, deep blue. Azzaro Solarissimo Range Summer Fragrance Best Buy for Men AND Women

13:03
I discovered these three absolute gems of fragrances from Azzaro! The Solarissimo range from Azzaro includes Levanzo, Marettimo and Favignana. According to Azzaro, these are delicious summer fragrances for men, but ladies...these are unisex fragrances and will smell divine on both men and women! Although the Solarissimo range has been around since 2016 they have only just been launched in the UK in 2018. All three bottles are beautiful and only differ in the graduated colour of the simple but elegant bottle which is capped by a square resin wood-like top. Starting with the Solarissimo Levanzo by Azzaro. This is my absolute favourite of the range and has gone straight into my fragrance collection. Designed by Christophe Reynaud and launched in 2016 Levanzo is classed as an aromatic fougere. So when you smell it it's just lovely, warm, fresh and clean like a really beautiful summer morning. When you spray you really get those really crisp top notes of passionfruit. You've got Italian lemon along with spicy mint keeping it really fresh and clean. In the heart notes, you do have a few florals which are probably what makes me think it's more unisex. In the heart, you have geranium and lavender. You also have spice in the form of cardamom, basil and ginger which gives Levanzo an energetic, almost tingling note and you have tea. I can definitely get the tea! The base notes are slightly heavier with patchouli leaf, cedar amber wood and coumarin. If you enjoy fragrances such as Issey Miyake or the Annick Goutal L'Ile au Thé, Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue Range or the Terr de Hermez then you probably enjoy Levanzo too. It is just a delicious, delicious fragrance! Azzaro Solarissimo Marettimo was launched in 2017 and is another fabulous fragrance designed by Quentin Bisch and is classed as a woody aquatic. When you first spray Marettimo you do get those aquatic notes. It's like being on the sea in the sunshine! The top notes open with citron and lemon. It's so warm, clean and fresh. The heart of this fragrance flows with seawater. It's slightly salty but fresh with vetiver and calypsone. The base notes are more woodsy, with cedar and labdanum. A really fresh and really beautiful scent for men or women! If you like fragrances by Jean Paul Gaultier or some of the fresher Armani fragrances such as the Aqua di Gio or perhaps Chanel's Allure Homme Sport then you will enjoy the Azzaro Solarissiomo Marettimo. The Favignana is the latest addition to the Azzaro Solarissimo Range, created in 2018 by Phillipe Romano and is classed as an oriental fougere. Out of the three fragrances in the Solarissimo range, I would say that this one is the most masculine initially although it is quite sweet. In the top notes, you have lemon so it is fresh and citrusy but then you also have sugar giving it that sweetness but then you have sage. The heart contains rum, ginger and vanilla. So far it smells like a delicious Mediterranean cocktail. So far the fragrance is fresh, sweet and warm. Then you have a warmer, heavier, more woodsy base with notes of Chinese cedar, white tobacco and amber. On dry down and the initial masculine notes settle and once more we are left with a fragrance that although slightly more masculine is a beautiful unisex fragrance that can be worn by anyone. I like to think of the Solarissimo range in terms of waking up on a beautiful warm summer morning and you are looking for a beautiful fresh fragrance then Levanzo is your morning fragrance. Then in the afternoon, you wear Marettimo as you take a trip by boat across the Mediterranean sea where you arrive on the island of Favignana for evening drinks and cocktails. Delicious high-quality fragrances! The very best thing about the Azzaro Solarissimo range is the price. Currently retailing at £34 for 75ml they are the best summer fragrance buy for men AND women. They are practically giving these fragrances away! Don't forget to check out my other videos. Here are some of my popular playlists. Top Five Easy Wear Summer Fragrances For Women

15:12
Ladies! Are you looking for a new fragrance for summer? Something light, fresh and easy to wear? Well, in no particular order, here are my top five easy wear summer fragrances for women! First out of the bag is the Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh. Not a particularly new fragrance but delicious all the same. The Daisy Range from Marc Jacobs are what he classes as his 'Girl Next Door' fragrances. They are all carefree, really fresh and easy to wear fragrances. The Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh is classed as a fruity floral. I love it straight from the outset! The top notes are really juicy and fruity. You have grapefruit, raspberry and pear as well as green notes that keep the fragrance clean, fresh and light. The heart is more traditional with jasmine, rose and violet, as well as lychee and apple blossom. So far Eau So Fresh is feminine, quite 'girly'. The base is both lovely and unusual with musk, cedar and a twist of plum! Quite unusual to have a fruit in the base of a fragrance! The Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh in an Eau de Toilette and is ideal for the woman that likes to have something that is not too heavy and that she can spritz freely. Next in the bag is a fragrance that is a new release for this year, and it's the Bonbon Spring/Summer by Viktor and Rolf. Classed as a fruity floral gourmand the Bonbon Spring/Summer is a special edition and is a more refreshing version of the original Bonbon. Straight away you get the impact of the punchy citrus notes in the top of this fragrance. There's tangerine, grapefruit, orange and blackcurrant. Really juicy and so refreshing on those hot summer days! In the heart of the Bonbon Spring/Summer is orange blossom absolute, sambac jasmine absolute, icing sugar and peach. The icing sugar does make this fragrance sweet but it blends very well with the citruses and fruits so not really, really sweet. In the base you have the thread that runs through all of the Bonbon range and that is the caramel, but in this particular instance that caramel is silky smooth. In addition to the caramel is musk, guaiac wood and cedar. It is the woods in the base of this fragrance that is going to keep it on your skin. As an EDT another fragrance to spritz to keep juicy fresh on those hot summer days! An ideal alternative summer fragrance for lovers of gourmand fragrances such as the Prada Candy or fragrances like the Carolina Herrera Good Girl or indeed the original Bonbon by Viktor and Rolf. Next we have the CHANEL N°5 L' Eau, created in 2016, this is a lighter, fresher interpretation of the original CHANEL N°5. Perhaps geared toward those that don't like the heavy oakmoss , woodsy base of the original. It is classed as a Floral Aldehyde and opens with sparkling top notes of Citrus Lemon, Mandarin, Neroli and Aldehydes, cool and fresh. Onto Heart notes of traditional florals of Ylang Ylang, Jasmine and May Rose. Complimented by the Base notes of Vanilla, White Musk and Cedar. What I would say about this , however, is that as it is an EDT I found it did not last long on my skin , so please try it out first. Still a gorgeous summer fragrance feminine and soft. Onto the penultimate fragrance and one of my favourites. I get so many compliments when I wear this perfume. It's the Issey Miyake L'eau D'issey Pure Eau de Toilette. It's classed as a floral aquatic and it has a wonderful ocean fresh almost like waves crashing out at sea. This is the Top Notes which are Sea Notes, warmed and softened by the florals of the Heart Notes of Jasmine, Orange Blossom, Damask Rose and Lily. The Base Notes of Ambergris, Cashmere and Woods, complete and bring the fragrance together into a bottle of gorgeousness. Lastly, but by no means least, the latest release for women from Creed The Love In White For Summer EDP. Elegance, romance, class and femininity in a bottle, This was released May 2018 and is the limited edition of the Creed Love In White EDP. This is Ultimately more carefree than the original more delicate like a soft whisper or gentle caress. Opening Notes of the Calabrian Bergamot, Bulgarian Rose and Magnolia, Slightly fruity and floral leading into the Powdery notes of the Heart of Tuscan Iris and Rice ( Rice being in the Original ) and Virginian Cedar Wood. Deliciously brought together with Base notes of Ambergris, Sandalwood, Apple and Jasmine. All transporting you to the beautiful Cote D'Azur, Everything white, hazy and sunny! These are my top Five easy to wear Summer fragrances. Let me Know what you would pick ? Ellie x Don't forget to check out my other videos. Here are some of my popular playlists. Mont Blanc Legend Night Fragrance Review

06:48
Are you looking for a new men's fragrance either for yourself or for that man in your life? Well, stay with me while I check out the newest fragrance from Mont Blanc which is the Mont Blanc Legend Night Eau de Parfum. A little bit about the brand to start with. Mont Blanc was started or founded in 1906. They're a German company and mainly known for their sophisticated luxury writing pens, watches, jewellery and leather goods. The most famous of their pens are the Meisterstück which on the nib has 4810 which is actually the height of Mont Blanc in meters. Their logo looks like a snowflake but represents the peak of Mont Blanc itself and it's six valleys radiating out. The Legend Night EDP bottle is shaped like a hip flask. Whereas the original Mont Blanc Legend created in 2011 had a black bottle with silverware top and the Legend Intense and Legend Spirit very much kept with the black, silver or white theme, the Legend Night bottle is very different. With it's graduated cognac to black colour it automatically makes you think of a warm evening. This fragrance was released at the end of 2017 but has only just been released in the UK over the last few weeks. Mont Blanc Legend Night Eau de Parfum is classed as a woody aromatic and was created by Anton Maisondieu and Olivier Pescheux who have created fragrances for Van Cleef and Arpels, Aqua de Palmer, Bollman and Christian Dior just to name but a few. The inspiration for this particular fragrance is light and shadow. A representative of a charismatic man with a hint of mystery to him, which I think again is reflected in the bottle from the bright bottom going into the deeper dark top. When you first spray this you do get the aromatic notes in the top which contain Clary Sage, peppermint and also bergamot, which makes it quite bright and sparkling but also cool initially when you first spray it. On the opening, it is very clean. As it starts to settle you get a very elegant heart note with cedarwood, apple, fir, lavender and just a touch of powdered violet which makes it quite soft, the cedarwood giving a lemony zest to it. Clean but very, very warm developing nicely into the mysterious base notes of black vanilla and vetiver which give it a real earthiness. Add to this akigala wood which is ambery as well as woodsy, with patchouli and musk. All together Mont Blanc Legend Night is masculine, but not particularly heavy. It's not what I would have expected or anticipated from a fragrance for the evening or night. I would have expected something with more impact to it, headier. It is warm and masculine and would probably appeal to the man who is looking for something not too overpowering. If the gentleman like fragrances such as the Armani Code Profumo, Christian Dior Pour Homme or Timbo thinks it smells exactly like the Armani Stronger With You. I feel this is going to be a nice fragrance for the summer, probably for the day or evening, not something for the winter season or very cold days. Of course, the Mont Blanc Fragrances have a very competitive price point. It's definitely worth a try! Don't forget to check out my other videos. Here are some of my popular playlists. Cartier Carat Fragrance Review

08:56
Are you looking for a new floral fragrance this Autumn? The new Cartier Carat could just be the fragrance you are looking for! Created by the Cartier in-house perfumier Mathilde Laurent, the Cartier Carat is classed as a 'floral' and will be launched later this month, September 2018. The bottle of the Cartier Carat is inspired by the Cartier jewellery, particularly the diamonds. SO the bottle is faceted and refracts the light. The top has a little 'C' shape, perhaps to represent the 'C' in 'Cartier' but it serves a purpose in protecting the spray cap. Flipping down the 'C' allows the fragrance to be sprayed. Flipping it back up again prevents your fragrance from being accidentally sprayed if you have the bottle in your bag! Mathilde Laurent has had a remarkable career and has designed some beautiful fragrances such as the Le Panthere in 2014, le Panthere EDT earlier this year 2018, Declaration, Baiser Fou and Baiser Volé just to name a few. Prior to working for Cartier, she worked with Guerlain. When designing Cartier's Carat, Mathilde Laurent wanted to create something with the feel of a pure white diamond, with the colourful rainbow hue of light of violet, indigo, green, blue, yellow, orange and red refracted through the facets. To represent those colours that make up the brilliant white of the perfect diamond she chose the essences of seven beautiful flowers. So in the top, you have hyacinth, lily and violet making the opening fresh, green, very luminous and sparkling. Then on to the sophisticated heart notes where we discover narcissus and ylang-ylang and I can really smell the ylang-ylang. So far the Cartier Carat is delicious. Quite beautiful! Now on to the deep, deep base combining honeysuckle and tulip. I could say those seven beautiful flowers combine to make one perfect white flower. This fragrance is definitely, really, really feminine! I think Cartier Carat is going to be really easy to wear on my skin. It's delicate, warm, fresh and green and quite sensual actually. I'm not a lover of floral fragrances but this one is quite delightful. This would make a beautiful fragrance choice for someone who wants an Autumn fragrance that is crisp, clean and not too overpowering. Although florals do not stay too long on my skin, my skin type better suits heavier musky fragrances, the Cartier Carat had a longevity of several hours, making it an easy wear during the day for me. So ladies that like the Gabrielle Chanel which also has a floral white heart, the Chanel Mademoiselle, the Cartier Le Panthere or the Narciso Rodriguez For Her, although those fragrances do have a muskiness to them, the Cartier Carat would be something worth popping along and trying on your skin! Ladies that like Cartier fragrances are going to love this one! If this is your first visit to my channel don't forget to check out some of my other videos. Alien Man by Mugler Fragrance Review

Are you picking up the vibrations from the much awaited new fragrance for men from Mugler? This time I have a special guest with me. On the hottest day of the year, I've persuaded Timbo to join me in front of the camera to help review the new fragrance from Mugler, the counterpart to Alien for women, Alien Man. Alien Man was launched in May 2018 and is based upon three 'vibrations'. Alien Man was created by Jean Christophe Herault, who's made fragrances for Balenciaga, also Chopard and Mugler. Alien Man is classed as a woody leather aromatic or even an oriental woody. It's been created around three vibrations. The top 'vibration', or top notes, are 'Electric', so in those top notes, you have beechwood, dill and star anise. So the top is very aromatic, you can pick out the dill and the star anise is licoricey sweet. The heart notes are represented by the 'Sensual vibration'. In this case, we have a heart of leather, cashmere wood and osmanthus. The base is represented by the 'magnetic vibration' of white amber! So altogether you have a clean, fresh, woodsy and aromatic fragrance in which you can pick out the florals in the heart. Timbo's verdict. He really enjoyed the electric opening of the fragrance. He got a strong sense of powder as the Alien Man dried down. The leather is definitely present and reminded him of the Bentley Intense, yet the Alien Man was slightly sweeter. Both of us felt that the Alien man was not what everyone was expecting. Many people associate Mugler with really 'out there' fragrances and assumed that Alien Man would be an obscure scent. But Alien Man has come as a surprise. A very pleasant surprise. Tim thought that Mugler has thrown us a curveball in producing a 'grown-up' easy to wear fragrance. It's not overpowering, but it is a powerful and seductive fragrance that will surprise with its longevity. Alien Man is an addictive fragrance that grows with you the more you wear it. Tim felt the leather gave it an 'animalistic' hint that keeps you smelling to track down the note. Both Tim and I like it. I think it is going to be a popular fragrance, almost an introduction to the headier Mugler fragrances for men. If you enjoy leather fragrances such as Fahrenheit, the Bentley and Bentley Intense or even the Valentino Uomo or the Zadig and Voltaire, then the Mugler Alien Man is definitely worth giving a try! Real Top Five Men's Fragrances and Aventus Review

05:56
Some days it seems like we are bombarded with opinions on what fragrances and perfumes we should be wearing. From fragrance Houses wanting us to buy their product to style guru's telling us what we should wear, all seem to have an opinion. But what fragrances, perfumes and colognes did we actually buy and what are we wearing? Over the winter months, I sell thousands of pounds worth of fragrance and here is my list of Top Five Fragrances for Men that my customers actually bought. I warn you that the list does not contain many surprises, although perhaps one or two! It won't be a big give-away that Creed Aventus makes the chart, so I've included a quick review of what was one of my best selling fragrances of 2017. Developed by father and son Olivier and Erwin Creed and released in 2010, Aventus is a fragrance that remains ever popular yet splits the fragrance community. Dedicated and celebrating the life of Napoleon Bonaparte Aventus opens with top notes of Pineapple, Corsican Blackcurrant, Italian Bergamot and Apple. It's Heart of Rose, Birch Jasmine and Patchouli and its base of Oak Moss, Musk, Ambergris and just a dash of Vanilla. More detailed video reviews of some of the other Top Five can be found at the links below. An Evening With Ellie Layering Creating a Unique Fragrance for Men

15:36
Something very different this week, a glimpse of Ellie in her favourite place. Surrounded by fragrance and sharing fragrance tips and tricks with an audience. One of the questions Ellie get's asked very often is 'how to create a unique and personal fragrance'. Ellie decided to share some tips on how to do this by layering fragrances you may already have in your collections. Paco Rabanne One Million celebrates it's tenth anniversary this year and is one of the worlds most popular fragrances. Ellie layered this with the Armani Code Profumo to create something a little different. Layering Boss The Scent with Giorgio Armani Aqua di Gio was another combination both unique and quite delicious. Being Ellie she could not resist layering some of her favourite Creed fragrances. Creed Viking has been popular with both men and women since it's launch. Layering it with Creed Royal Water creates a fragrance whose notes, although contrasting, really do compliment each other. Layering is a fantastic way to get more from your fragrance collection and is something that Ellie will be exploring in more detail in future videos. Don't forget to check out my other videos. Michael Kors Extreme Speed Fragrance Review

06:23
Do you like to live life in the fast lane? Extreme Speed the new fragrance for men from Michael Kors could be for you! Extreme Speed is the latest in the line of men's fragrances from Michael Kors and recently released here in the UK 2018. Classed as a woody spicey, on the first impression the Extreme Speed certainly is packed with exotic spices! The top has a real punch to it with coriander, cardamom, cypress and sage. Sage seems to be a frequently used note in a lot of men's fragrances at the moment. There is quite a strong hit of sage in the top of the Extreme Speed. I hope it settles down. So the top notes are really spicy and very, very fresh! As the dry down begins and the heart notes begin to surface those top notes do begin to settle. In the heart is more spice with cinnamon. But I'm now starting to get all of the woods coming through with the violet wood in the heart as well. Everything is now starting to blend, a mixture of woods and spices as we move into the base. In the base is a very earthy patchouli with cedar wood and tolu balm. This fragrance reminds me very much of walking through the woods on a fresh morning after rain. The earthiness of the ground mingling with the trees and spices adding a touch of the exotic and a hint of mystery. I'm detecting some similarities between the Michael Kors Extreme Speed and fragrances from Tom for such as the Tom Ford for Men and the Tom Ford Grey Vetiver. I don't think this is a fragrance that is going to appeal to every man, but I do think it will sit well on some. Tim tried it and did like it, not one of his favourite fragrances. He did get a couple of compliments whilst wearing it and reported that it did last a good three or four hours on his skin although not too heavy. I think it does have a longevity to it. It is staying quite well on the card. I do think it's well worth giving it a try and seeing how it sits on your skin if you get the opportunity. If this is your first visit to my channel please like and subscribe. if you get a chance to try this fragrance please let me know what your thoughts are in a comment. I do love reading and replying to my comments. Check out some of my other videos. Creed Viking Best Selling Christmas Fragrance?

06:59
Is Creed Viking the Best Selling Christmas Fragrance? It won't be long now until I get the final figures for the best selling fragrances for Christmas 2017. I can tell you that Creed Viking has been flying off the shelves! There's my usual review of the fragrance, as well as a quick history of the Creed brand and don't forget my top tips for getting better value when buying your fragrances. I will also try and answer the often asked question 'why is Creed so expensive'? Created by Olivier Creed in 2017, Viking is a woody aromatic and a fantastic winter fragrance with plenty of heat yet still fresh. It's fire and ice! Warm and fresh without overpowering. If you wear Creed Aventus, or Green Irish Tweed, Viktor and Rolf Spicebomb, Tom Ford or Bleu de Chanel then Viking would make a good alternative fragrance.
