Tentu saja itu sesuatu hal yang tidak nyaman untuk dilihat. Namun pada saat itu, fokus dari sebuah web page adalah pengguna dapat mengakses informasi sebanyak mungkin. Seiring berjalannya waktu, jumlah web page pun semakin bertambah. Hal ini membuat pengguna memiliki ekspektasi yang lebih tinggi mengenai pengalaman mereka dalam mengakses web page. Hal inilah yang mendasari munculnya aspek baru dalam bidang teknologi yaitu User Experience (UX). Bagi Arum Kusalawicitra (Tim Produk UX Researcher di GO-JEK), UX adalah proses keseluruhan pengalaman pengguna ketika menggunakan produk atau jasa dan juga bagaimana tanggapannya mereka. Pada dasarnya, apakah mereka senang dengan produknya. Contohnya, ketika mereka menggunakan aplikasi, ada semacam perjalanan atau proses yang harus mereka lalui dari garis awal sampai akhir. Umpamanya, kamu mau beli tiket konser, kamu harus log in dulu, lalu mencari tiketnya, setelah itu kamu melakukan pembayarannya, dan garis akhinya adalah ketika kamu menerima tiketnya di email. ITULAH pengalamannya. Dari contoh tadi, UX berperan dalam kemudahan atau kesulitan saat membeli tiket tadi. Itulah kenapa UX tidak bisa dilihat, tapi bisa DIRASAKAN oleh pelanggan. ............... Web pages back then is the equivalent of traditional market in the morning; crowded and messy. Obviously it is unpleasant to see. But at that time, the focus of a web page is that the users can access as much information as possible. As time goes by, the number of web pages keep growing. This makes users have higher expectations about their experience in accessing web pages. This is what underlies the emergence of new aspects in the field of technology that is User Experience (UX). For Arum Kusalawicitra (Product Team UX Researcher at GO-JEK) explains that UX is the overall process of customer experience from using a product or service and how they perceived it. It is very much depends on how happy the customer with the product. For instance, when they use an app, there will be a journey for them from the starting line to the finish line. Say you want to buy a concert ticket, you start with logging in, then finding your ticket, after that you do they payment, and the finish line is when you receive your ticket in your email. THAT is an experience in itself. From that example, UX plays the role of how easy or frustrating it is to buy the ticket. Menurut Bayu, salah satu cara yang bisa kita lakukan adalah dengan menggunakan alat yang disebut Persona. Persona adalah alat yang memungkinkan kami untuk mengetahui siapa market kami dan bahasa apa yang sebaiknya kami pakai. Mengapa ini penting? Misalnya, walaupun GO-SEND dan GO-BOX sama-sama berada dalam di departemen logistik, kedua layanan tersebut melayani pasar yang sangat berbeda. GO-SEND adalah layanan messenger yang bisa digunakan setiap hari, sedangkan GO-BOX adalah layanan yang biasanya digunakan saat pindahan rumah atau pindahan kantor. Kami tidak dapat menggunakan kampanye marketing yang sama untuk kedua layanan tersebut karena pasar-pasar mereka memiliki kebutuhan yang berbeda. According to Bayu, one way that we can do this is to use a tool called Persona. Persona allows us to know who is our market, how we should reach them, and when should we reach them. Why is this important? For instance, although GO-SEND and GO-BOX are both in the logistics department, the two services cater to very different markets. GO-SEND is a messenger service that can be used every day, whereas GO-BOX is a large-items moving service that is typically used when you are moving houses or offices. We cannot use the same marketing campaigns for the two services because the two markets have different needs. Afterall, not everybody can move houses every day right?
