Air Studio's Montserrat ~ House of Legendary Music ~ UAV Drone Caribbean ~ WeBeYachting.com

04:32
AIR Studio's Montserrat was the creation of the late music producer Sir George Martin, who fell for the island while on vacation there in 1977. Between 1979 and 1989, AIR Studios on the east Caribbean island of Montserrat was a premier recording destination for a galaxy of Rock-and-Roll stars where a plethora of albums and songs of the 1980s emerged, including The Police’s Ghost in the Machine (1981) and Synchronicity (1982–83), Duran Duran’s Rio (1982), Jimmy Buffett’s Volcano (1979), The Rolling Stones’ Steel Wheels (1989), Elton John’s Too Low for Zero (1983), Dire Straits’ Brothers in Arms (1984–1985), and Black Sabbath’s The Eternal Idol (1986) to name a few. At least 67 albums were recorded in full or in part by internationally famous musicians at AIR Studios Montserrat during the 1980s. Category 4 Hurricane Hugo made a direct hit on Montserrat in September 1989, heavily damaging nearly all of the buildings on the tiny island and forcing the closure of Air Studios Montserrat. The property has suffered further damage from the ongoing eruptions of the Soufriere Hills volcano over the past 20+ years. AIR Studios is located near the boundary of the exclusion zone, whose precise location depends on the level of volcanic activity at any given time, and it is thus an inherently dangerous place to visit. In the famous words of Sir George Martin; “It’s like everything in life: everything has a period. You bring something out of nothing, and it always goes back to nothing again” Our goal with this video was to bring the visions of past and present together and to give you, the viewer a real feeling of what it was like to be there. It was quite an emotional, exciting and somewhat overwhelming feeling to be in the house of such legendary music and to stand in the exact location of some of our most idolized musical stars. Are we crazy to feel that it is just wrong to let this slip away? We daydream of bringing this sacred place back to life (as we are sure many have done before us). We sincerely hope you have enjoyed this, We are always glad to hear your comments and cheers from Nelsons DockYard Antigua. *** We wish to extend a huge THANK YOU to FRANK OGLETHORPE for the use of some of his incredible photos. *** DISCLAIMER We do our best in trying to describe accurately, we cannot verify the exact facts of everything we publish. Bramble Airport Buried Forever ~ MONTSERRAT ~ Exclusion Zone V ~ Drone Caribbean ~ WeBeYachting.com

02:36
Take a look at the lost W.H. Bramble airport destroyed by multiple volcano eruptions. We where not allowed to enter this part of the exclusion zone V. The footage seen here was shot from the safety zone of Jack Boy Hill. W.H. Bramble Airport, also known as Blackburne Airport, was a small international airport on the east coast of the island of Montserrat, a British Overseas Territory in the Caribbean. It was named after Montserrat Chief Minister William Henry Bramble. The airport was destroyed in 1997 by an eruption of the nearby Soufriere Hills volcano, which obliterated much of the southern part of the island. For several years after the disaster, Montserrat was only accessible by helicopters or boats, until July 2005, when the new Gerald's Airport (now John A. Osborne Airport) was completed at the north end of the island. Bramble Airport had used the IATA airport code MNI, but this has now been transferred to the new airport. Today only a few visible structures can be seen, The airport was is permanently damaged and is not repairable. History Montserrat is a small island, only 10 miles long by 7 miles wide, located in the Leeward Islands chain of the Lesser Antilles. It is only about 40 square miles in size, but due to recent volcanic activity it is actually increased in size. Despite being diminutive, the location and topography of Montserrat proved to be attractive to early explorers. Christopher Columbus was first reported to have spotted the island in 1493 and he named it Santa Maria de Montserrat for a monastery in Catalonia, Spain. Disaster Strikes Montserrat has fallen victim to natural disasters multiple times in its history. In 1989 Hurricane Hugo would kill 21 people and destroy 90% of the island, causing an estimated $300M in damage. Despite the near total destruction of the island, they would receive aid and rebuild. In July of 1995, the previously-dormant Soufrière Hills volcano would erupt. It would send pyroclastic lava flows in all directions – including toward the town of Plymouth. By August of 1995 residents were evacuated when fragmented volcanic ash began to fall on the town; several months later the residents were allowed to return. On June 25th, 1997, another eruption would see the town almost completely overcome by pyroclastic surges. Nineteen people were killed, and once again Plymouth was evacuated. Soufrière Hills would continue to erupt into August, and eventually bury 80% of Plymouth. Volcanic Exclusion Zone & The Future The government has prohibited anyone from entering the area affected by the pyroclastic flows. Even homes that were not overcome by the flows were forced to be abandoned (see below). If the roads to get to these homes weren’t destroyed, the plumbing and electrical infrastructure was. The inability to rebuild in the area has left these otherwise sound structures to sit empty and rot. Recovery of Plymouth would be next-to impossible. The hard pyroclastic flow buries the town in a concrete-like rock. Sewage pipes are severed. There is very little grass or soil and the town has a moon-like surface covered in rock and large boulders. Rebuilding would require large-scale demolition not available to Montserrat; heavy equipment and explosives would be needed just to break up the rock, and the now-infertile scorched earth beneath offers little incentive to try. Even if the island had the capability to rebuild, the cost to do so would be astronomical, further reducing the chance that Plymouth Montserrat will ever return. RINCON NUCLEAR PLANT ~Puerto Rico ~ Best Caribbean Drone Footage ~ WeBeYachting.com

02:02
We once again had the chance to revisit the beautiful area of Rincon Puerto Rico. Rincon is a famous surf destination with a multitude of great surf breaks. The last time we visited we never took notice that there was an old nuclear plant right there next to the beach! It was only after we got back onboard, looking on google maps that we noticed the plant. After doing some internet research about it and to verify that it would be not illegal to shoot there. We pack our gear and set off to go capture this interesting subject. Here below is what we found out about this decommissioned plant. The Boiling Nuclear Superheater (BONUS) Reactor Facility, also known to the locals as "Domes", or formally as Museo Tecnologico BONUS Dr. Modesto Iriarte, is a decommissioned nuclear plant in Rincón, Puerto Rico. It was listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 2007. BONUS was a prototype whose objective was to assess the economic and technical feasibility of the integral boiling superheating concept. The construction of BONUS started in 1960, and the reactor had its first controlled nuclear chain reaction on April 13, 1964. In September 1965 full power operation was achieved with 50MW thermal power, and steam temperatures of 900°F (482°C). Operation of the BONUS reactor was terminated in June 1968 because of technical difficulties and the ensuing need for high-cost modifications. The Puerto Rico Water Resources Authority decommissioned the reactor between 1969 and 1970. During decommissioning, all special nuclear materials (fuel) and certain highly activated components (e.g., control rods and shims) were removed from the island to the US mainland, all piping systems were flushed, the reactor vessel and associated internal components within the biological shield were entombed in concrete and grout, and systems external to the entombment were decontaminated. Many contaminated and activated materials were placed in the main circulation pump room beneath the pressure vessel and entombed in concrete. General decontamination of the reactor was performed with the goal of meeting unrestricted use criteria in all accessible areas of the building. Residual radioactive materials remaining in the structure were isolated or shielded to protect site visitors and workers. During subsequent years, more radioactive contamination was identified in portions of the building, and additional clean-up and shielding activities were conducted in the 1990s and early 2000s We are always glad to hear your comments and cheers from Annie & Eric, * Filmed by Annie & Captain Eric Bergeron * Edited on Final Cut Pro X on Mac After Effects, was used for the intro. * Camera gear: DJI Osmo, Nikon S9900, GoPro 4 Blk, DJI MAVIC PRO, DJI Phantom Pro, & DJI INSPIRE 1 * Dive Lights DF70F by Jaunt Outdoor Products * Dive Gear: Scuba Pro MK25 EVO S600 Regulator, Mares Hybrid Pro MRS bcd, Suunto Zoop Dive computer, *Music By: Royalty free music *Facebook: Annie Eric WeBeYachting *Websites: http://www.WeBeYachting.com & http://www.CabareteGetAway.com www.CabareteGetAway.com is our AFFORDABLE LUXURIOUS TOP FLOOR CONDOS the we RENT in OCEAN DREAM & OCEAN ONE. HURRICANE IRMA ~ AFTERMATH ~ WeBeYachting.com ~ 4K

03:06
Hurricane Irma was the most powerful Atlantic hurricane on record, category 5 on the Saffir-Simpson scale—over 800 miles wide, roughly the size of Texas, with sustained winds of over 185 miles per hour for more than 24 hours and gusts over 200 mph. We where very fortunate this time around, much more fortunate than many of our dear friends who lost everything throughout the devastation Irma carried through the Caribbean. Let use please not forget them and help where ever we can….

Wilderness SURF BREAK ~ SXM ~ EPIC DRONE CARIBBEAN ~ WeBeYachting.com ~ CabareteGetAway.com

03:05
Wilderness Surf Break ~ Located in the North of the island of Saint Martin, this spot deserves it's name ” Wilderness” because it’s quite the wild wave and hard to access. Totally reserved for self reliant and advanced surfer. You must park the car at “Grandes Cayes”, then you gonna be humping up the chemin des froussards” for a 20 minutes hike walking successively along the water’s edge, on a little cliff and on a volcanic setting. Follow the path forged by the flow of surfers going there walking where they don’t go by boat. Getting in the water can be perilous because of the coral reef covered by sea urchins. When the North/North Est swell is ON, this right hand break provides a long wall that allow surfer to link vertical tricks and cut back : pay attention! at the end of the wave, there are big coral head rocks. This is probably the best spot on the island for good surfer, by the way the hike is enough to enjoy the beautiful scenery of this wild Sint Maarten coast. www.CabareteGetAway.com is our AFFORDABLE LUXURIOUS TOP FLOOR CONDOS the we RENT in OCEAN DREAM & OCEAN ONE. St Barths ~ Saint Barthelemy ~ St Barts ~ Best UAV Drone Caribbean ~ WeBeYachting.com

02:33
More footage of beautiful Sint Barthelemy. Saint Barthélemy, a volcanic island fully encircled by shallow reefs, has an area of 25 square kilometres (9.7 sq mi) and a population of 9,035 (Jan. 2011 estimate). Its capital is Gustavia, which also contains the main harbor to the island. It is the only Caribbean island which was a Swedish colony for any significant length of time; Guadeloupe was under Swedish rule only briefly at the end of the Napoleonic Wars. Symbolism from the Swedish national arms, the Three Crowns, still appears in the island's coat of arms. The language, cuisine, and culture, however, are distinctly French. The island is a popular tourist destination during the winter holiday season, especially for the rich and famous during the Christmas and new year period. The landing runway is 2170 feet long, and the approach, from either direction, is often plagued by varying degrees of turbulence. As a result, the French aviation authorities require that a special permit be issued to any pilot who intends to land in St. Barts. Those planning to land in St Barts will have to land in Grand Case, French St Martin, first, in order to get their qualification. St Barts Control tower (Telephone: 590 590 27 65 33 - Fax: 590 590 27 98 96 ) will tell you how to contact a French instructor for certification. It takes a couple of hours, and includes touch-and-go in both directions. Don't do it on a windy day with a hangover. The landing fee varies from 8.5 Euros to 12.5 Euros, and parking fee is 5.5 Euros/ night. There are no mechanic nor fuel on the field. Best nearby place for that is at Grand Case Airport in St. Martin. No fuel is available during their long lunch hour. When you arrive or depart, you are required to deposit a General Declaration form with the immigration officer at the door and file a flight plan : call (+590) 590 27 65 33 or fax (+590) 590 27 98 96. DEVIL’S BRIDGE ~ Antigua ~ Barbuda ~ Best UAV Drone Caribbean Aerials ~ WeBeYachting.com

02:11
Devil’s Bridge, located outside the village of Willikies, offers a stunning glimpse into Antigua’s natural formation. Composed of limestone rock, the rugged terrain of Devil’s Bridge is the result of millions of years of ancient reef formation. For hundreds of thousands of years, the Atlantic’s waves have crashed into the east coast of Antigua creating a natural arch, or bridge. Numerous geysers and blowholes surround the arch as waves continually break against the coastal rocks. Devil's Bridge also has great cultural and historical significance as it is well-known on the island that in the past, slaves used to commit suicide by hurling themselves off of it to either drown or be thrown against the rocks by the rough waves of the Atlantic. The spot got it's name because since so many had chosen that spot to kill themselves, people believed that the Devil must have been there. It is estimated that hundreds of slaves have thrown themselves off this point. Local historians and scholars have come up with other reasons for the popularity of this spot for slave suicide. There is no land mass between the location of Devil's Bridge and the West Coast of Africa. It is believed that somehow the slaves knew the direction of home (West) and where they came from. Thus they hurled themselves in the water with the hope that the strong currents of the Atlantic would deliver their bodies back to their beloved homeland. This has become a widely accepted reason for the mass suicide that went on at this point for so long. To this day no one has ever survived the jump off of Devil's Bridge. This video was shot within regulation of Antigua & Barbuda recreational use drone flying rules by responsible flying procedures with regards to locations and flight hight limits. SABA Dutch Caribbean ~ Windwardside ~ Hells Gate ~ Bottom ~ St Johns ~Epic Drone ~ WeBeYachting.com

More epic footage of beautiful SABA Island, Fact: The original King Kong movie from the 1930's used Saba's silhouette as the backdrop in the beginning for King Kong's "Skull Island" home. I would again like to extend a special thanks to our awesome guide & driver Mr. George Wilson (Who is also the owner of the Midway Bar "Seen at 2:24" which is a must stop during your visit). If you wish to contact him his phone numbers are as follows home: +1-599-416-3367 & mobile: +1-599-416-6103 Saba is a Caribbean island and the smallest special municipality (officially public body) of the Netherlands.[4] It consists largely of the potentially active volcano Mount Scenery. Saba has a land area of 13 square kilometers (5.0 sq mi). As of January 2013, the population was 1,991 inhabitants, with a population density of 150 inhabitants per square kilometre (390/sq mi).[1] Its towns and major settlements are The Bottom (the capital), Windwardside, Hell's Gate and St. Johns. AIRPORT: In 1963, Saba residents built the Juancho E. Yrausquin Airport. This 400-metre (1,300 ft) landing strip is reputed to be the shortest commercial runway in the world, and is restricted. Only trained pilots flying small STOL airliners, such as the Twin Otter and the Britten-Norman Islander may land there, as well as helicopters. Consistent air service from Sint Maarten and Sint Eustatius is available through Winair. LOST CITY OF PLYMOUTH ~ MONTSERRAT ~ Volcano Exclusion Zone ~ UAV Drone Caribbean ~ WeBeYachting.com

05:13
Take a step inside the forbidden exclusion zone V of the old capital city of Plymouth, Montserrat, a modern Pompeii. Destroyed by several volcano eruptions over the past 20 years. We obtained the correct special clearances/permits from the MVO “Montserrat Volcano Observatory”, the local Police and had an approved guide to enter the V exclusion zone. All sites visited, ground filming and arial filming was done in accordance to all local laws. This footage was shot within regulation of Montserrat use UAV/ drone flying rules flying procedures within regards to locations and flight hight limits. Montserrat (/mɒntsəˈræt/) is a Caribbean island—specifically in the Leeward Islands, which is part of the chain known as the Lesser Antilles, in the British West Indies. It is a British Overseas Territory. Montserrat measures approximately 16 km (10 mi) long and 11 km (7 mi) wide, with approximately 40 km (25 mi) of coastline. Montserrat is nicknamed The Emerald Isle of the Caribbean both for its resemblance to coastal Ireland and for the Irish ancestry of many of its inhabitants. On 18 July 1995, the previously dormant Soufrière Hills volcano, in the southern part of the island, became active. Eruptions destroyed Montserrat's Georgian era capital city of Plymouth. Between 1995 and 2000, two-thirds of the island's population was forced to flee, primarily to the United Kingdom. The volcanic activity continues, mostly affecting the vicinity of Plymouth, including its docking facilities, and the eastern side of the island around the former W. H. Bramble Airport, the remnants of which were buried by flows from volcanic activity on 11 February 2010. An exclusion zone that extends from the south coast of the island north to parts of the Belham Valley was imposed because of the size of the existing volcanic dome and the resulting potential for pyroclastic activity. Visitors are generally not permitted entry into the exclusion zone, but an impressive view of the destruction of Plymouth can be seen from the top of Garibaldi Hill in Isles Bay. Relatively quiet since early 2010, the volcano continues to be closely monitored by the Montserrat Volcano Observatory. It is the most studied volcano in the world and Montserrat is regarded as a 'Modern Day Pompeii' in the Caribbean. A new town and port is being developed at Little Bay, which is on the northwest coast of the island. While this construction proceeds, the centre of government and businesses rests at Brades. OLD SAN JUAN ~ Castillo San Felipe del Morro ~ Best Caribbean Drone Footage ~ WeBeYachting.com

02:35
Castillo San Felipe del Morro also known as Fuerte San Felipe del Morro or Castillo del Morro, is a 16th-century citadel located in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Lying on the northwestern-most point of the islet of Old San Juan, Castillo San Felipe del Morro is named in honor of King Philip II of Spain. The fortification, also referred to as el Morro or 'the promontory,' was designed to guard the entrance to the San Juan Bay, and defend the Spanish colonial port city of San Juan from seaborne enemies. In 1983, the citadel was declared a World Heritage Site by the United Nations in conjunction with the San Juan National Historic Site. Over two million visitors a year explore the castillo, making it one of Puerto Rico's leading tourist attractions. Facing the structure, on the opposite side of the bay, a smaller fortification known as El Cañuelo complemented the castillo's defense of the entrance to the bay. In 1961, the United States Army officially retired from El Morro. The "fort" became a part of the National Park Service to be preserved as museums. In 1983, the Castillo and the city walls were declared a World Heritage Site by the United Nations. In honor of the Quincentennial of the voyages of Columbus in 1992 the exterior esplanade was cleared of palm trees that had been planted by the U.S. Army in the Fort Brooke era, and restored to the open appearance this "field-of-fire" for El Morro's cannon would have had in colonial Spanish times. Parking lots and paved roads were also removed, and the El Morro lighthouse repaired and restored to its original appearance. El Morro was used as a film set in the 1996 motion picture Amistad. Steven Spielberg used it to represent a fort in Sierra Leone where African slaves were auctioned in 1839. African slave labor was used in addition to local labor to help build the castillo. El Morro was a defensive military fortification and a major component of San Juan's harbor defense system. Puerto Rico as such was considered by the Spanish crown as the "Key to the Antilles"; no enemy ship could navigate its waters without fear of capture. WARDERICK WELLS EXUMA’s from ABOVE ~ BAHAMAS ~ WeBeYachting.com

02:35
Warderick Wells is the center of the Exuma Cays Land and Sea Park, which was created by the Bahamian Government in 1959. It stretches from Wax Cay Cut in the north to Conch Cut in the south. The park headquarters buildings are located here. Because this is a park, nothing may be taken from it. All fish, birds, animals, plants, coral, even rocks and sand, are protected. This includes seashells, both living and dead. The Exumas is a district of the Bahamas, consisting of over 365 islands, also called cays. Many of the unnamed beaches and coves of the islands, including extensive offshore reef areas, are included in the protected Exuma National Land and Sea Park of the Bahamas National Trust. Some of the islands on which there are permanent residents and resorts include Staniel Cay (home of the Staniel Cay Yacht Club, a fixture in the Exumas), Fowl Cay, Musha Cay and Iguana Cay. Thunderball Grotto, located just a few hundred yards off Staniel Cay, is one location where the James Bond film Thunderball was filmed. Sandy Cay, just a short boat ride from Little Exuma was the location used for filming the Pirates of the Caribbean beach scenes and a Shell commercial. The novel Wind from the Carolinas was set in Great Exuma. In light of the relatively low cost of purchasing islands and the relatively low Bahamian tax regime for non-locals, a number of famous people own islands in the Exumas. These include Aga Khan, Nicolas Cage, David Copperfield, Ali Daei, Johnny Depp, Faith Hill and Tim McGraw, Ali Karimi, Eddie Murphy, Eddie Irvine and Tyler Perry. SuperYacht ECLIPSE ~ Roman Abramovich ~ Second Largest Private Yacht in the World ~ WeBeYachting.com

03:29
The yacht Eclipse is known as ‘the USD 1.5 billion yacht’, although her real cost price was considerably less. Her original contract price was around EUR 400 million, or USD 500 million. Superyacht Eclipse was the largest yacht in the world, but this title is now reserved for superyacht Azzam. The yacht Eclipse is owned by Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich, one of the richest people in the world. Anti Paparazzi systems? Eclipse is said to have an anti paparazzi system, a laser which is used to detect the electronic light sensors that digital cameras use. The camera is then targeted with a beam of bright light that overexposes the photo, which becomes useless. A crew of 70 Eclipse has two swimming pools and two helicopter pads, she has a crew of 70. Eclipse was delivered by Blohm and Voss in 2010. She was built in total secrecy. Early 2013 Eclipse arrived in New York and docked in Manhattan. In June 2014 Eclipse was laying for anchor near Antibes, France for a few days. Abramovich net worth: US$ 8 billion Roman Abramovich is the 12th richest Russian with an estimated net worth of USD 8.3 billion (May 2016). In 1988 he and his wife set up a company making dolls, which was an immediate success. Within a few years he also started investing in other businesses. From 1992 to 1995, Abramovich founded five companies that conducted resale, produced consumer goods, and acted as intermediaries, specializing in the trading of oil and oil products. Abramovich set up and liquidated at least 20 companies during the early 1990s, in sectors as diverse as tire re treading and bodyguard recruitment. Sibneft In 1995, Abramovich and Boris Berezovsky, an associate of President Boris Yeltsin, acquired the controlling interest in the large oil company Sibneft. Each partner paid USD 100 million for half of the company and rapidly turned it into billions. Abramovich sold his stake in Russian Aluminum to billionaire Oleg Deripaska and his stake in Sibneft to Gazprom for USD 13 billion in 2005. Chelsea Footbal Team Abramovich owns the U.K.'s Chelsea soccer team, which he acquired in 2003. He spent millions acquiring players. Since the takeover, the club have won 13 major trophies , making Chelsea the most successful English trophy winning team in the decade. Yachts and Jets Abramovich owns a Boeing 767 private jet (registered as P4-MES), and he seems to have ordered the world’s largest jet: an Airbus A380. Roman Abramovich also owns the gas turbine powered yacht Sussurro and he owned the expedition yacht Luna. He also owned the yacht Le Grand Blue, but he gave her to his friend Eugene Shvidler in 2006. Early 2014 Abramovich sold a London mansion for US$ 40 million to Tetra-Pack heir Hans Rausing. In 2014 Abramovich sold Luna to Azerbaijani billionaire Farkhad Akhmedov. Akhmedov acquired his wealth through natural gas producer Northgas, which he sold in 2012. www.CabareteGetAway.com is our AFFORDABLE LUXURIOUS TOP FLOOR CONDOS the we RENT in OCEAN DREAM & OCEAN ONE. NELSON’S DOCKYARD Marina ~ Antigua West Indies ~ Best UAV Drone Caribbean Aerials ~ WeBeYachting.com

03:05
This video is of beautiful Nelson’s Dockyard Marina ~ English Harbour Antigua West Indies. Nelson’s Dockyard is a cultural heritage site and marina in English Harbour, Antigua. It is part of Nelson's Dockyard National Park, which also contains Clarence House and Shirley Heights. Named after Admiral Horatio Nelson, who lived in the Dockyard from 1784 through 1787, Nelson's Dockyard is home to some of Antigua's sailing and yachting events such as Antigua Sailing Week and the Antigua Charter Yacht Meeting.English Harbour quickly became a focal point for the establishment of a naval base in Antigua. Its position on the south side of the island meant it was well positioned to monitor the neighboring French island of Guadeloupe. Additionally, the harbour is naturally well-suited to protect ships and cargo from hurricanes. In 1671 the first recorded ship to enter English Harbour was a yacht, the “Dover Castle.” It was chartered to the King by a Colonel Stroude for the use of the Governor of the Leeward Islands when he visited the islands under his jurisdiction and "chased ye pirates." The first reference to the defence of English Harbour occurs in 1704 when Fort Berkeley was listed as one of the twenty forts established around the coast of Antigua. By 1707 naval ships used English Harbour as a station, but no facilities had yet been built for ship maintenance or repair. By 1723 English Harbour was in regular use by British naval ships and in September of that year the harbour gained a reputation as a safe natural harbour when a hurricane swept ashore 35 ships lying in other ports in Antigua, while the HMS Hector and HMS Winchelsea, both moored in English Harbour, suffered no damage. Soon British naval officers petitioned for the building of repair and maintenance facilities in English Harbour. In 1728 the first Dockyard, St. Helena, was built on the east side of the harbour and consisted of a capstan house for careening ships, a stone storehouse, and three wooden sheds for the storage of careening gear. There were no quarters for dockyard staff or visiting sailors and the seamen themselves conducted all work and repairs on the ships. Naval operations in English Harbour soon outgrew the small original dockyard and plans were made to develop the western side of the harbour with more facilities. Admiral's Inn (the former Pitch and Tar Store) Construction of the modern Naval Dockyard began in the 1740s. Enslaved laborers from plantations in the vicinity were sent to work on the dockyard. By 1745 a line of wooden storehouses on the site of the present Copper & Lumber Store Hotel had been built and the reclamation of land to provide adequate wharves had been started. Building continued in the Dockyard between 1755 and 1765, when quarters were built for the Commander-in-Chief on the site of the Officers’ Quarters. Additional storerooms, a kitchen and a shelter for the Commander’s “chaise” were also erected. The first part of the present Saw Pit Shed was constructed, the reclamation of the wharves and their facing with wooden piles was continued, and a stone wall was built to enclose the Dockyard. Between 1773 and 1778 additional construction was undertaken. The boundary walls were extended to their present position; the Guard House, the Porter’s Lodge, the two Mast Houses, the Capstan House, and the first bay of the Canvas, Cordage, and Clothing Store were built; and the first Naval Hospital was built outside the Dockyard. Many of the buildings in the Dockyard today were constructed during a building program undertaken between 1785 and 1794. The Engineer’s Offices and Pitch and Tar Store were built in 1788 and the Dockyard wall was extended to enclose the new building. The wharves were improved and the northern side of the Saw Pit Shed was built in the same year. In 1789 the Copper and Lumber Store was completed and by 1792 the west side of the Canvas, Cordage, and Clothing Store had been completed. The Blacksmith’s Shop also dates from this period. This building program overlaps with Nelson’s tenure in the Dockyard from 1784 to 1787. The Sail Loft was built in 1797 adjacent to the Engineer’s Offices and Tar and Pitch Store. Around 1806 the Pay Master’s Office was built and in 1821 the Officers’ Quarters building was constructed to accommodate the growing numbers of officers who accompanied their ships to the yard. The Naval Officer’s and Clerk’s House was built in 1855 and is now home to the Dockyard Museum. We are always glad to hear your comments and cheers from the IGY Simpson Bay Marina in Sint Maarten. Puerto Plata ~ Fortaleza San Felipe ~ Dominican Republic ~ WeBeYachting.com

03:22
Fortaleza San Felipe is a historic Spanish fortress located in the north of Dominican Republic in the province of Puerto Plata. Is also known as El Morro de San Felipe and was used to protect the City of Puerto Plata from pirates and corsairs. It is located on a hill at the Puntilla Del Malecón, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean; its strategic location protected the entrance to the city's seaport. The construction of the fort was commissioned by King Felipe II of Spain in 1564, and it was completed in 1577 by Don Rengifo de Angulo, the fort's mayor. This footage was not shot during the optimal time of the day. I will be definitely re shooting footage of this place again soon. The north part of the island is largely unaffected, and has unique black sand beaches, coral reefs, breath taking cliffs, shoreline caves and a new city. Visitors are politely told that "Montserrat is not a volcano; it has a volcano" and assured that the north part of the Island remains entirely safe, with the Soufrière Hills volcano is under round-the-clock monitoring by a MVO “Montserrat volcano observatory”. As is often the way in the aftermath of disaster, the close-knit community has forged stronger bonds than ever. Crime is a rarity, front doors and vehicles are unlocked, with the PEOPLE making the island magical. For first-time visitors to the Caribbean island of Montserrat, some of the local vocabulary evokes Geology 101. Words like “pyroclastic flow,” “seismic” and “dome collapse” pop up often in conversations with native islanders and longtime residents. There is much to do in Montserrat other that visiting volcano devastation exclusion zones, there is epic nature hiking trails, black sand beaches, even a nice hike that will take you to the only white sand beach on the island. Drop an email to Sunny Lea, he is a wealth of local knowledge and is an amazing tour guide. CUEVA VENTANA ~ Window Cave ~ Puerto Rico~ Best Caribbean Drone Footage ~ WeBeYachting.com

03:20
Cueva Ventana translates literally to “Window Cave.” The Window Cave is an enchanting limestone cave set into the side of a cliff. The Cave offers impressive stalagmites and stalactites, reaching out of the floor and ceiling like jagged teeth in the gaping maw of the cavern. The passage finishes dramatically with and opening into the lush Río Grande de Arecibo valley some 600 feet below. The view is breath taking and provides views across the entire valley. The cave is visible from the PR-123 a the second bridge but is only accessible from a trail that begins adjacent to a Puma gas station located along PR-10 on kilometer 75. The fee is minimal at $20,usd which includes a local guide and flash lights. Between February and March 2009, Disney Channel filmed Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie in Puerto Rico with scenes shot inside the cave as well as a land that sits in the Río Grande de Arecibo valley in front of the limestone cliff where the cave sits. In 2011, the cave was used as one of the settings for the 2012 British TV miniseries Treasure Island. Most recently, in the summer of 2012, filming of the 2013 film Runner, Runner took place inside the cave. Encuentro "Playa" Beach ~ Dominican Republic ~Caribbean Drone Footage ~WeBeYachting.com

02:53
We are proud to say that we own land here off this incredible beach, Encuentro is such a beautiful place. Sharing some the incredible destinations we have the chance to visit and explore! Destinations in this video: Encuentro Beach “Playa” Dominican Republic Encuentro Beach is an isolated stretch of beach in the Puerto Plata province of the Dominican Republic. Located between the more populated cities of Sosúa and Cabarete this popular surfing beach is accessible to the public via dirt roads. Encuentro Beach consists of five distinctive breaks: Coco Pipe is a serious, powerful and hollow reefbreak which favors high tide and North or Northwest swell. This wave is almost always bigger than it looks from the beach, with a heavy vertical drop. This was first surfed by Bam Rossiter, who managed to ride a 589ft wave fakie. Bobo's Point is a series of consistent peaks with a hollow but easy take off. It is powerful when overhead and best at low to mid tide on a Northeast swell. La Derecha, meaning "the right", is the North Coast's most consistent surf spot. Two peaks, outside and inside with two distinct take off zones, and a reef that breaks like a point combine to create a wave that breaks with any swell direction and any size. La Izquierda, meaning "the left", is a hollow barreling performance reefbreak. Two sections that usually connect make up this fairly long wave. It is also very consistent with something to ride almost every day, although the wave tends to close out at heights over 12 feet (4 meters). Destroyer is a powerful, hollow and shallow left, over a sharp reef. There are the ruins of an old hotel to explore, as well as the wreck of a crashed narcos airplane. El Faro Los Morrillos ~ CABO ROJO Lighthouse ~ Best UAV Drone Caribbean ~ WeBeYachting.com

02:38
Faro de Los Morrillos is the most beloved landmark in the municipality of Cabo Rojo.  Commonly known as “El Faro”, it is located at Los Morrillos Peninsula perched on commanding limestone cliffs that drop 200 feet into the Caribbean Sea.  Los Morrillos Lighthouse was the second lighthouse built by the Spanish in Puerto Rico, construction began in 1887 and completed 1882.  The lantern room was constructed out of cast iron, copper and glass.  The interior served as a home for the keeper and the family.  All the walls were built with brick and mortar.  Los Morrillos Lighthouse is one of the 27 sites. Lighthouse lovers will enjoy the simplicity and elegance of the structure.  In 2002 a three million dollar restoration was initiated, and in 2007 it was re-opened to the public.  The lighthouse got a brand new coat of paint in the original colors of gray with white trim;  a punch of color was added to the windows and doors in lime green.  The lighthouse is fully automated, still shines brightly helping ships navigate safely through the Mona Passage. GREAT BIRD ISLAND ~ ANCHORAGE ~ ANTIGUA ~ Best UAV Drone Caribbean ~ WeBeYachting.com

03:01
This video is of the beautiful anchorage of Great Bird Island. This tiny islet lying almost three kilometers north-east of Antigua. Measuring just 20 acres (81,000 m2), smaller than most city parks, it is the only place on Earth where you can see an Antiguan racer (Alsophis antiguae) in the wild. The entire world population of this snake lives on the island. Named by sailors who were amazed at the number of birds that they found living and nesting there, Great Bird Island is a miniature paradise. As well as being the last refuge of the Antiguan racer, it is also home to a variety of other endangered creatures including the rare lizard Ameiva griswoldi, brown pelicans (Pelecanus occidentalis), West Indian whistling ducks and red-billed tropicbirds (Phaethon aethereus). Luckily for the snake, there are no mongooses on the island, although hundreds of black rats lived there until recently. The island is currently privately owned by an American businessman. Approach the island in good lighting as the area is maze of shallow reefs. DISCLAIMER We do our best in trying to describe accurately, we cannot verify the exact facts of everything we publish. Epic STINGRAY CITY ANTIGUA ~ Best underwater & UAV Drone Caribbean ~ WeBeYachting.com

03:00
We had the opportunity to visit the Stingray City, where you can snorkel with Southern Stingrays in their natural environment. Located of the coast of Antigua on one of the most beautiful reefs. With flat, wide bodies, stingrays may not look like fish, but they are! Stingrays are commonly found in the shallow coastal waters of temperate seas. They spend the majority of their time inactive, partially buried in sand, often moving only with the sway of the tide. The stingray's coloration commonly reflects the seafloor's shading, camouflaging it from predatory sharks and larger rays. Their flattened bodies are composed of pectoral fins joined to their head and trunk with an infamous tail trailing behind. There is 60 species of stingrays around the world. Some factual information: 1.The largest species of stingray measure 6.5 feet in length and can weigh up to 790 pounds. 2.Stingrays are closely related to sharks. 3.They use this venom to protect them from predators. In fact, Greek dentists once used it as anesthetic. 4. Stingrays eat clams, shrimp, and mussels. Since their mouths on on the underside of their bodies, they catch their prey, then crush and eat with their powerful jaws. 5. While the stingray's eyes peer out from its dorsal side, its mouth, nostrils, and gill slits are situated on its underbelly. Its eyes are therefore not thought by scientists to play a considerable role in hunting. Like its shark relatives, the stingray is outfitted with electrical sensors called ampullae of Lorenzini. Located around the stingray's mouth, these organs sense the natural electrical charges of potential prey. 6. they swing is groups known as schools. 7. Stingrays give birth each year. They can have between 2 and 6 offsprings a year, each which can live between 15 and 25 years in the wild. 8. When they are inclined to move, most stingrays swim by undulating their bodies like a wave; others flap their sides like wings. The tail may also be used to maneuver in the water, but its primary purpose is protection. 9. The stingray's spine, or barb, can be ominously fashioned with serrated edges and a sharp point. The underside may produce venom, which can be fatal to humans, and which can remain deadly even after the stingray's death. In Greek mythology, Odysseus, the great king of Ithaca, was killed when his son, Telegonus, struck him using a spear tipped with the spine of a stingray. 10. Stingrays are totally HARMLESS if left alone, they get a bad rap because on 4 September 2006 Irwin was on location at Batt Reef, near Port Douglas, Queensland, taking part in the production of the documentary series Ocean's Deadliest. During a lull in filming caused by inclement weather, Irwin decided to snorkel in shallow waters while being filmed in an effort to provide footage for his daughter's television programme. While swimming in chest-deep water, Irwin approached a stingray with an approximate span of two metres (6.5 ft) from the rear, in order to film it swimming away. According to the incident's only witness, “All of a sudden [the stingray] propped on its front and started stabbing wildly with its tail. Striking within a few seconds”. Irwin initially believed he only had a punctured lung; but the stingray's barb pierced his heart, causing him to bleed to death. The stingray's behaviour appeared to have been a defensive response to being boxed in. Crew members aboard Irwin's boat administered CPR and rushed him to shore. Medical staff pronounced him dead at the scene. Irwin's death is believed to be the only fatality from a stingray ever captured on video. Footage of the incident was viewed by Queensland state police as part their mandatory investigations. All copies of the footage were then destroyed at the behest of Irwin's family.Production was completed on Ocean's Deadliest, which was broadcast in the US on the Discovery Channel on 21 January 2007. The documentary was completed with footage shot in the weeks following the accident, but without including any mention of Irwin's accidental death. AGAIN STINGRAYS ARE TOTALLY HARMLESS IF LEFT ALONE. We are always glad to hear your comments and cheers from the IGY Simpson Bay Marina in Sint Maarten. SABA Island ~ Epic Caribbean Travels at its BEST ~ WeBeYachting.com

04:38
This video is of our epic day on the Island of SABA. We board the 9h00 hight speed ferry with flat calm weather. Spend the day visiting and returned to Sint Maarten on the 15h30 ferry. I would like to extend a special thanks to our awesome guide & driver Mr. George (Who is also the owner of the Midway Bar). Cheers! Saba is a Caribbean island and the smallest special municipality (officially public body) of the Netherlands.[4] It consists largely of the potentially active volcano Mount Scenery. ANTIGUA ~ Shirley Heights ~ Sunset Party ~ Best UAV Drone Caribbean Aerials ~ WeBeYachting.com

Shirley Heights Sunday Hill top party. The best known and longest running event now in its 31st year. Ask any of our bartenders, whether the party happens every Sunday, and the reply will be, " Yes...like church!” From 4.00pm the sweet pulsating rhythms of the steel band accompany mouth-watering smells of the barbecue. Spectacular sunsets are standard party fare and the much talked about green flash really can be seen! At 7.00pm the entertainment changes and some of the island's finest party bands are featured until 10.00pm. Located at the most southerly tip of Antigua, The Lookout, part of the Shirley Heights military complex, commands a breathtaking view over the whole of English Harbour.  Behind the catchment on the highest ground, 490ft (150m) above sea level, was the Signal Station from which a system of flags was used by day and guns by night to convey messages to St, John's by way of Great Fort George on Monk's Hill.  The Shirley Heights military complex also included a guard house, magazine and kitchen, officers' quarters, adjoining parade grounds, a 40-bed hospital, canteen, and a cemetery.  An obelisk in the cemetery commemorates the officers and men of the 54th Regiment (2nd Battalion Dorsets) who died in service in the West Indies between 1840 and 1851. The EXUMA ISLANDS from ABOVE ~ BAHAMAS ~ WeBeYachting.com

03:43
@ 00:15 Highbourne Cay @ 00:29 Shroud Cay @ 00:38 Alain’s Cay @ 01:02 Rocky Dundas Cave @ 01:34 Alain's Cay “Looking South” @ 01:40 Rocky Dundas @ 02:48 Highbourne Cay “Motor Yacht Galilee” We are always glad to hear your comments and cheers from Annie & Eric, * Filmed by Annie & Captain Eric Bergeron EDITED WITH: Final Cut Pro X ~ After Effects on MacBook Pro & iMac CAMERA GEAR: Canon Cine Camera C100, DJI Osmo, Nikon S9900, GoPro 4 Blk, Atomos Ninja Blade 4k field recorder, Matte Box, Rig. and Manfrotto 503 tripod. Spring Hotel Montserrat Ruins ~ EXCLUSION ZONE ~ Volcano ~ UAV Drone Caribbean ~ WeBeYachting.com

03:36
Take a step inside the forbidden exclusion zone C, entering the old Montserrat Springs Hotel Ruins. Destroyed by several volcano eruptions over the past 20 years and major hurricanes. We realize how sad this video is but we feel that it needs to be shared with the world. So many of us just don't realize how much the people of Montserrat have been through. Not much information about this hotel is available on the internet. These are some of the facts that we did find. Also you can see in the video the guests book, timeline. Montserrat Springs Hotel (46 rooms, six apartments) also once called the Emerald Isle Hotel back in 1977, in 1994 it was the Montserrat Springs Hotel and finally in 1996 reopened as the Montserrat Spring Spa and Tennis club. The ruined Montserrat Springs hotel - once one of the island's fines hotels, and now rusted in parts and collapsed owing to exposure to corrosive volcanic gases, acid rain and ash fall. Its few remaining rooms had been left undisturbed: shirts hung ghostly in a wardrobe, Sadly everyone was forced to abandoned every property you see here for their personal safety as mother nature is just so powerful. The CURSED Hotel ~ LA BELLE CREOLE ~ Saint Martin ~ Best UAV Drone Caribbean ~ WeBeYachting.com

04:16
La Belle Créole Hotel was supposed to be a luxury resort, a small island of Saint Martin in the Caribbean. It’s origins date back to year 1964 when a well-known hotelier Claudius Charles Philippe who did everything to realize his dream by building this Titanic luxury hotel . In the early sixties he purchased this 300 acres piece of land in Nettle Bay and began the project. Hiring world famous architects who’s job was to create Mr. Philippe’s visionary ideas. The architects where faced by massive demands including furniture for each of the 200 plus rooms had to be modeled to look like Louis XIII era. Each room was to have a spectacular views and at the bathrooms were to be tiled with Italian marble, doors hand-carved mahogany wood and each floor had to be a different pattern of tile work. The hotel was to have a casino, a nightclub and boutiques with luxury goods as well. Unfortunately in 1969 all the funds for the project dried up and the hotel project laid dormant for many years. Unfortunately Claude Philippe died in 1978 without ever seeing his dream come true. La Belle Créole gained a new project owner and the hotel was opened in 1988. Of the original 300-acre property was reduced to 25 acres and instead of 300 only 156 rooms were finished. The casino and nightclubs were ever built at all. The only thing that was ever finished of the original plans was it an incredible architecture. In 1995 when Hurricane Luis passed directly over Saint Martin and massively damaging the Hotel. It never reopen and has been slowly decaying ever since. Local legend says that the land where the hotel was built is on a cemetery of indigenous Arawaks people. inhabitants of the island – Arawaks. People believe that breach of the peace of ancestors was the reason for the failure of the project right from the start. Cursing the hotel for ever.
