What effect on the hair does the razor over comb technique do?
Nickypoo 92 (5 months ago)
The razor over comb technique is mesmerizing
Beardbrand (5 months ago)
There really is something great about watching that technique.
Boss L (5 months ago)
Should have done number 4 back and sides and it would have been a lot quicker

Can we get more videos of Gabriel love his take on cutting and how he explains things!
Enter Name (10 months ago)
I wonder if Gabriel learnt his barber trade in Shutter Island
Dameon Frost (11 months ago)
Beard brand if your going to have this Felipe guy work for you please keep out the barber bashing and have some pre set idea for good commentary If they are getting a cut and trim. I felt Gabriel had to really dig and pry info out if the him. He kept saying he didn't like it short or this or that then turn around and say whatever or I'll leave it in your hands. Gabriel totally saved this video for me Felipe about killed it.

The Parlour Seattle (1 year ago)
Nice consultation-"So what do you want?". How about, "When was your last cut?" "Do you want to see skin?, do you want some scalp coverage?" It's pretty basic. And regardless of his last crappy cut, don't ever undercut you or any stylists price. We already are questioned about pricing , yet the average barber/ stylist makes $2,800 a month. Our average price in the city - if you can execute , educate and perform behind the chair like you know what your doing and value your craft in a professional manner then $50 is worth it.
FATTayamee (1 year ago)
yahahahahah the same hair before and after, only difference is his hairs wet lmaoo

This was one of the most awkward barber client interactions ever xD. That razor technique was sick though! Looks skillful
NaLdo051 (1 year ago)
Lol, what's the difference, to much talking and at the end looking equal, lol
Jesse K (1 year ago)
That was the worst description of a haircut you would like. Ya pretty much just confused the shit out of the barber

Fleotus Bing (1 year ago)
I really like this barber and the charm of the facility.  Online reviews are outstanding!  Austin has a lot going for it if you're in the bearding community!
Matthew Pearson (1 year ago)
Fleotus Bing Awesome. Been there many times. Big baseball fan. Camden yards is one of my favourite parks. Love the Baltimore food scene as well. It’s a wonderful city indeed. Have a great night.
Fleotus Bing (1 year ago)
@ Matthew   Baltimore, Maryland, U.S.A., born and raised, left for a bit but came home to stay 😀
Matthew Pearson (1 year ago)
Fleotus Bing I did see pictures from the championships, awesome to say the least. Thanks for kind words about Canada. Where do you call home?
Fleotus Bing (1 year ago)
@ Matthew  Yeah, ATX seems to have a lot "happening."  My understanding is that there is a great, local music scene, too, from bluegrass to blues to rock. And of course they just had the World Beard and Mustache Championships (if you haven't, check out some photos online)!  But I'll never get to Austin...too far, lol.  I've been to parts of your home-- Ontario and Quebec-- a few times....deluxe folks, nicest people one could meet!
Matthew Pearson (1 year ago)
Fleotus Bing yeah brother. Almost almost kind of a tiny bit makes me want to move to USA. Not quite but almost. ATX seems like an awesome place to be
Andrian (1 year ago)
That man obviously didn't need a hair cut
Gabriel is an amazing barber !!!!! If I was in the USA I'd be very interested to ask Gabriel to fine tune my 3 month old beard and thinning hair on top and make it look cool as fuck
Brady Carroll (1 year ago)
That was painful to watch,,, most clients dont like to be that involved... i know it sounds weird to say that but if you've been a barber for a while you understand what im saying, consult with the client at the beginning of their haircut dont ask them for permission to use a technique and keep asking them throughout the haircut it seems like your unconfident as fuck and puts doubt in there head... i use to do that when i first got my barber license and it annoyed the shit out of people
Tod Wheeler (1 year ago)
What Brady said....I mean if you watch a video of a haircut with no dialogue, what’s the point? By explaining what he’s doing to the client, it allows the viewer to know the technique and effects, so that they can either use it or ask for it later.
Albert Chavez (1 year ago)
exactly you're absolutely correct when I get a haircut and keep getting ask multiple questions throughout the haircut I start to doubt them makes it seem like they don't know what they're doing like they are very unconfident in themselves
Ty K (1 year ago)
It was for the vid, also I feel like since the client didn't want anything short or "white walled .." Had he just grabbed clippers, dude buddy would have wigged out 😂😂😂
helmut mcqueen (1 year ago)
Brady Carroll I think it was for the sake of the video
stewart gilbert (1 year ago)
How do you want it? Just the same but not the same maybe a little shorter but but the same length etc.... 😞🔫

stewart gilbert I literally chocked ... Nice comment
Michael McDonnell (1 year ago)
A nice, tidy trim. Not everyone wants a drastic fade. I would have liked to hear some Neil Diamond though!
Liquictizen Lloyd (1 year ago)
Great barber, sick video.
Liquictizen Lloyd (1 year ago)
No worries Jack!
Beardbrand (1 year ago)
Glad you like it! We really appreciate that! - Jack
Derek Polowyk (1 year ago)
I know people are saying it looks the same and in terms of style there is no question it does. But if you look at the end result, his whole look is cleaner. Beard is shaped, which makes a world of difference in my opinion and the hair was just a simple trim with some style added in. Not every cut needs to be a drastic change.
Feather (1 month ago)
But like whats the point in even getting a haircut if It hasn't grown to an unwanted length? It looks exactly the same. At least wait another month or two of hair growth then cut it.
Beardbrand (1 year ago)
We agree 100%. Of course, we realize we'll always receive a little bit of hate whenever we feature haircuts like this because they aren't monumental in terms of changes, but, we think that the subtly of Gabriel's work in making this style look cleaner and more refined is the highlight of this video. Sometimes, you can learn a lot from just a simple trim. Thanks for the feedback! We appreciate it! - Jack
Kings Image (1 year ago)
Yes finally a video I can understand and relate to. Thank you keep them coming.
Beardbrand (1 year ago)
Glad you like it! We like to change things up every so often! - Jack
Matthew Pearson (1 year ago)
Love Gabriel but I kind of feel like he was too handcuffed with this cut. The client literally said “I trust you” but didn’t want much done with his hair. It seemed kinda like a waste of both their time. That sucks cause when I saw Gabriel I was excited to see him work but in the end was disappointed at how little he was allowed to do. With that being said, it was neat to see razor over comb technique and the client seemed satisfied. Peace and Love.
Beardbrand (1 year ago)
This was definitely more a maintenance trim rather than a huge transformation. We still think Gabriel did a fantastic job given what he had to work with, and honestly it was interesting to see his take on this type of haircut. He always has some different stories and techniques to share with us whenever we come into his shop. Thanks for the feedback though! We really appreciate it! - Jack

LOL Same haircut before and after. No change whatsoever and don’t fucking argue with me on that.
Matt Garcya (1 year ago)
The Wiseman you act like we will listen to you
Journeyman (1 year ago)
Jeremy Stig yes definitely. I think there are some people who want to disagree just to disagree. Not the barber's fault, he did what the customer asked for
For some named "the Wiseman", you're really not that wise to begin with
David K (1 year ago)
The Wiseman don't worry.... soon the Beardbrand SJW snowflake will appear :)
