Most people HATE dressing for a corporate environment, but I'm here to say that it doesn't have to completely suck. Usually corporate attire doesn't include a lot of room for fun, but don't get stuck and watch this video on how to make your outfits a little more personalized and make you stand out. This is very relevant. I chuckled when you emphasized "closed toe" shoe. I actually see women in sandals, as in fancy flip flops at work.

How about an oversized blazer? Is it a good look for a corporate look?

Your videos are great. It's nice how you paired and dressed up those black pants with shoes. Nice job.

Video Request: Jackets and Blazers Since I was in high school I have worn blazers off and on. Usually I wear a long blazer. In the heat of Florida I would like to wear a lighter, shorter, cooler jacket or blazer, but many of the jackets 'cut me' in the wrong  place and make me appear heavier. (I tend to gain weight in the middle.) I would like to know - what is the shortest length jacket or blazer that I can wear and look good? **  Perhaps you can do a video on:   =>  Lengths and Cuts of Jackets, Sweaters, and Blazers by Body Type.

Thank you Lauren for this style type series! Between this video and the polished professional video -- both really helpful as I've been shopping for work looks!

usually agree with Lauren but not on this one. Louboutin pumps, leather, Chanel pins, ......not in a true professional corp office.

Boring outfits!! Do you really have to be so not personal in your job dressing? Everybody looks the same in this style....This would so not work in Norway:)
S Lines (2 years ago)
solsdatter corporate style is very boring in the US.

hey Lauren, just wanted to know how you feel about T.U.K. footwear. They some seem like they could really go with your personal style. I honestly love their shoes especially if they're pointed toe, but I thought if you haven't checked them out already I recommend them very much. they're my favorite

Hey Lauren, budding cosmetologist here. I'm working for a company who wants me in all black and in their company t shirt, how can I jaz it up in a sexy, yet professional way?
undomiel152003 (2 years ago)
I know it's been a month since you posted your question and of course I'm not Lauren, but I worked for many years for a company and we also had to wear the company's t-shirt--ours was another color though. But I do have a few suggestions, based on what I did to make the uniform more me. Go for accessories. For example, if your shoes do not have to be black, get really pretty flats with interesting prints and/or pops of colors. If you like wearing jewelry, pretty, statement--not huge, but big enough to really notice-- earrings are fabulous because they focus on your face, taking some off the attention from your basic t-shirt. Statement necklaces do the same, something again, not huge, but big enough to be attention grabbing, in gold or silver, like a chain necklace, or something with colored stones, is also great. Lastly, though this is a personal favorite of mine, I love scarves, so I used to wear them too, as long as it does not cover the company logo, it should be fine. Hope this helps!

I work retail in the south and I LOVE fashion, so dressing up to please my conservative customers and dept store dress code, keeps me craving self expression
Algaerhythms (2 years ago)
One suggestion I have is to have a model or even a mannequin to show the different outfits. Even showing pre-recorded clips, so you could still show each piece from off the rack, would be nice. I love this series! Thanks for making it. You really deserve more subscribers :)

Love all your videos! You are a stylish godess! :D Can I ask for a video on how to style sneakers, in a grown up way if possible, please?

Hi Lauren, I only discovered your channel 2 days ago but I've been binge watching and love your videos! Could you please do a video on what to wear if you work in science? My laboratory dress code means no heels, no exposed skin on my legs and fully covered shoes year round. I need to be appropriate for the lab but still professional and stylish for meetings etc.Thank you 😊
