I can't believe he doesn't check for a tracker in that money. I guess it was still a new thing back then.
eljamo93 (8 months ago)
if i ever find a briefcase of money, I'll be sure to check it for a wireless tracking device...

Conman89 Ok I'm just shocked that I've never heard it and I'm from Oklahoma and I've spent lots of time in Texas and have lived all over there.
Conman89 (2 months ago)
+Ronnie Bishop i think they use the term Jackpot because the bad situations usually have large sums of money involved.
Basic_Assumption (3 months ago)
Uh...as opposed to a wired tracking device?
Amir Hazim (6 months ago)
this film was set in the 80s dude. no one would thought abt that in those decades
Easy Eight (7 months ago)
True story: years past there was an armored car hold up in a town of a city where I used to live. In the medium of a road the criminals had thrown over $100,000 of cash in plastic bags. They kept a constant vigil on it. Eventually the criminals moved on the cash and the police moved on them. That was just 100K
Pee Wee (8 months ago)
It seems some people have forgotten when this movie was set because i absolutely guarantee you that if you came across a briefcase full of cash in the 80's you ain't checking it for some James Bond 007 gadget shit... Yeah the briefcase did have a tracker in it but was tech like that common knowledge back then? ITS THE 80's.
Aragorn Stellar (8 months ago)
For being such a “smart guy,” Moss made a lot of stupid mistakes. Why in the world did he leave the money in the case?
Ronnie Bishop (9 months ago)
What's a jackpot he doesn't want to get in.? Never heard that expression before!

+Ronnie Bishop 😂😂😂😂😂 because it's an old school term that is or was commonly used by some in western states.

J B It's to late.
J B (9 months ago)
Ronnie Bishop - correct. But in the process he finds it?
Ronnie Bishop (9 months ago)
J B The transponder isn't in the briefcase it's in a bundle of money .
M. Ael (10 months ago)
Llewellyn is the smartest idiot in movies of late.He does some really smart things yet makes easy mistakes that shouldn't be done.
damian chamberlin (12 days ago)
Happy Schizophrenic the transponder was in the briefcase. They would drove some circles around his town until they found it then just killed Him and his wife in their sleep
Antonio Frankesntein (5 months ago)
Stephanie Lam Wrong, that was actually the smartest thing he could have done, if he had not done such thing he wouldnt even know there was a gps tracker hiding in the briefcase giving his home address as last location while hes asleep with his wife at home without having any knowledge of it, then probably getting murdered while sleeping, the fact that he came back to the scene and leaves his truck behind makes him realize that there still men looking up for the briefcase and now they have his home adress because of the lisence plate, then he proceeds to come back home and leave with his wife knowing they are going for him anyways.
Thomas Paine (5 months ago)
But this is finest movie I've seen in decades. Doesn't underestimate audience.
Happy Schizophrenic (5 months ago)
Guys, there's no plot otherwise
Stephanie Lam (6 months ago)
the dumbest thing he did was go back to give water to that guy who was probably already dead anyway

I love how much of the story is conveyed through dialogue--and how much is conveyed by a simple sequence of actions. It's so simple, so concise. Mastery of the fundamentals of filmmaking.
Joe Bland (1 year ago)
Does anyone else think the writing got weak towards the end of the story? I think it was great writing, and then towards the end the author rushed it and left a lot of empty scenes with no explanation, like the sheriff finding Llewellyn after the show down, and the missed opportunity for a show down with Anton?
Morgan Baker (4 months ago)
I think the point of the film was that the randomness of fate strikes when you least expect it. Life isn’t fair, and I think that’s what the story was trying to convey.
Brent Argue (7 months ago)
Read the book , Fuck!
Cush Pesaro (1 year ago)
The sheriff was one step behind Chigurh and Moss the entire film and I'm sure its meant to represent something, but I'm not 100% clear on what it is. As for the show down (I assume you mean between the sheriff and Chigurh when Chigurh is behind the door) the 2 doors in the crime scene both had the locks done in, Chigurh was behind the door that the sheriff didn't go through and it represents how lucky we all are in life and how often we could die, had the sheriff picked the 2nd door he would've been killed. It also represents the coin toss that Chigurh does throughout the film as they are both 50/50 chances with one of the 50's being death.
Parlo (1 year ago)
big mistake for the main character to die at the end

+must811 but yes, let's reply to a comment about a movie I haven't even said anything about for two months. Heck I sort of forgot about this movie until your reply.

+must811 oh, my bad. Didn't realize stating my opinion on the movie is "talking shit"
must811 (4 months ago)
+JesusIsLord Man sorry to say this to you, but you clearly didnt understand 1% of the movie . Before talking shit i recommend you to watch movie again or have someone explain to you in a kids way, i sadly dont have time or nerves to do that for you.
JesusIsLord (6 months ago)
+YEET BOI really the way the movie was was about lleyewyn vs chigurh. At least the first half of what we see so when they kill him off the plot just dissentigrates. Then the rest of the movie is boring as hell. Yes "good guys" don't always win, but that doesn't mean it makes for a good movie.
YEET BOI (6 months ago)
+JesusIsLord That's the point The "good guys" don't always win

The Four Horsemen Has nothing to do with Cohen brothers they just followed the plot of the book.
The Four Horsemen (9 months ago)
That’s the way how coens brothers play with us and why is this movie so good, because it is told its own way, and break the rules of normal movie, and still watchable

Llewellyn Moss is one tough SOB throughout the movie considering what he ends going through. Unfortunately his luck ran out.
dude evades and even injures an extremely intelligent ruthless cereal killer for most of the film then gets shot up by some random mexicans for plot convinience
