The "Tell me about yourself" question should be a 60-90 second elevator pitch that gives a 30,000 foot overview of your career.
I typically start with with where I went to college, where I started my carer and the various roles I've held, how / why I transitioned into each and the duties at each one as my career progressed. I don't give specific companies, but do provide titles and direct examples of how each job applies to the position for which I'm interviewing. I wind up by telling the interviewer how I ended up applying for their position.
I found a lot of benefit in this video. Beyond the "TMAY" question, it gives specific examples of how you should package your skills / experience and present that to interviewers in a way that clearly demonstrates how you can do the job and benefit their business. It's very beneficial in being able to separate yourself from the pack of other candidates.
I was a banker for almost 7 years and i have no idea how interview works these days. I was unemployed due to mutual separation with the bank that had wind down. My girlfriend recommended me to watch your vids because i got called for an interview last week, so i prepared myself with your guides. Tbh, i was less nervous and appeared more confident with THREE interviewers sitting infront of me. I prepared myself in the morning and the interview was in the afternoon, yes less than a day. Today i got called that i got the job! Thanks to you and my girlfriend for recommending you. You earned my sub 🙏🏻 😆
this is not the right way -- other videos say do not talk about your past jobs as this is covered on your CV snapshot of work history is talking about your CV the info you suggest is on the CV so why go back over your CV - everyone seems to be an expert on this but you all contradict yourselves one says totally different from others and what happens if you haven't done the roles in the video ,, what if you've only done dead end jobs with no real meanings to employers ,, for instance ,," I collected trollies for a supermarket" .. or I stacked shelves and that's all I did … " how can a dead end job mean anything to an employer that isn't offering a dead end job ? how can that job be reflected by your video ?
I'm a teacher worked as a sectional head, Now I'm planning to apply and work in an embassy.
Please help me how could I answer the interview questions based on the teaching experience I would have.
Hi Linda. I have listened to your videos for years. They are impressive and helpful to say the least. I'm experiencing more STAR interviews. Do you have something that specifically addresses how to master the STAR technique? Thank you!!
I think this video for the students who needs to interview. I've personally experienced that they're not gonna asked you a interview questions, I mean they do, but they mostly test you about other else
Oh my god directly financial analyst? This is already an accomlishment position . The skills experienced work has already made. Can u start atleast in un- experienced job . What about documents controller or secretary? 👌
Something that actually happened:
Employer: tell me about yourself
Me: what you mean ?
Employer ... just tell me about yourself
Me: what about myself ?
Employer: like who are you?
Me: I’m Vivian Tran ?
Long story short I got hired
now a days..,when any one doing a job the interview must be need for personalies cheaking..,some times happen disqualifie due to clearenss speaking., so how much depend on your's acivementd ..i don't know..but..after seeing this video i understood that the right way for interview..
"i have a mom and dad, a little brother named Jimmy, my dad's also named Jimmy by the way, and my mom is called Alice, fyi. I play basketball, but they're all soccer fanatics. Anyway, the other day my brother almost killed me by running me over, BUT i used my leadership skills and directed his car away from smashing me into a brick wall. It was very exhilarating and at that instance I knew I would be an excellent candidate for your job! Also, potatoes. I love mashed potatoes. "
I share the frustration and contempt for what has become an out-of-control and overly demanding job interview/job seeking "ordeal". It's why I quit looking for a while. Too much competition, both in # of people looking/and from employers making U jump through an excessive number of hoops is coupled with employers/interviewers who are devious/unscrupulous/ UNETHICAL to create a nightmare. When your RES gets only a cursory look, when U R cast aside simply because UR too old, well, the deck is unfairly stacked. I recall being given some solid reasons about why I was turned down ONLY ONCE. This "We decided to go/move in a different direction " crap tells me nothing specifically; it BLUNTLY says only "we aren't hiring/interviewing you. It could be your experience, your qualifications, or your resume in general (typos & format) that could tank your prospects. I will say this: Her message is BASICALLY "BE PREPARED". Show your potential employer that you have working gray matter--you will not need really detailed amped up answers for an entry level job--be civil/respectful, coherent; YET DO HAVE SOME knowledge/general skills. Save the longer, detailed and truly insightful answers for those upper level management and the technical jobs.
I did watch almost all your vlog tips before having my interview. I have no experience and still undergraduate yet yesterday I got hired at a call center company!Thank you so much for all your tips 😁😘 Really helped a lot

Bricolajul a ajuns in Romania in urma cu aproximativ 10 ani, insa in Statele Unite si in statele occidentale acest concept este mai vechi, si isi are originile la inceputul anilor ’50.
