Hi Lauren, you really inspire me more than any “celebrity”. My signature style is edgy and classy if that makes any sense! I feel most empowered when I push the boundaries for that over the top look by just adding that special little something that elevates my look like a piece of jewelry or another accessory and get that “all eyes on me” feeling when I walk into a room. I love hearing, “I’ve been waiting to see how you’re going to look!” NAILED IT!!! Or, I will hear, “your shoe game is always on point”! NAILED IT!!! I love that!!! I probably should be working in Fashion. Anyways, my problem is, and where I need the most help is, I work in a corporate office and although I get showered with compliments, I don’t feel like it’s my style and I don’t know how to marry my signature “edgy” style with my business wear so I feel killer in the office. I enjoy shopping and when I see something that makes me say, now that’s fire, I have to have it but where I spend the most of my time, I can’t wear those items and that’s at work. When I dress for work, I feel that I look like everyone else and so I’m not always inspired. I currently wear at least 2 outfits per day because as soon as I leave my corporate office at 2pm, I go home to change into something I love before going out anywhere else even to the grocery store. How can I marry my edgy style to be business chic?

Hi, Lauren! I love this video and it brings to mind a similar question: the other day I wandered into H&M and I saw a poster that said "Buy it today because it might not be around tomorrow!" It made me realise how retailers are manipulating us into buying out of FOMO! I try my best to be a conscious buyer and only purchase items I truly love and will wear for years to come, but I can't help but feel a bit pressurised when I see a piece I love to buy it as soon as possible in case it sells out. (There're a couple pieces that escaped me this way - I still feel a bit frustrated I didn't buy them then!) Do you have any tips on not acting on FOMO when shopping?

Such a great example and totally agree! Adding your question to my list :)

Lauren, this is a serious question. Can tees and jeans be my style? I am just not a lace and loubs woman, but I think I'm pretty stylish still! PS been watching since the beginning! Love you!

Great question, thank you for watching!!

I found Pinterest a good way to ease my desire to buy. I just Pin the beautiful things I like and look at them every now and then. Then there is no need to own them physically!

Love that! Thank you for sharing :)

Your louboutins are KILLER!!!!!!!! the first thing I always look at as soon as your videos start is your shoes. You have very nice feet/legs too btw. Fashion question: I have ugly bunions on both sides of my feet. What is your advice on wearing shoes that cover them up/are flattering? I am very insecure about them so I always tend to stay away from revealing heels and such. Thank you!!

Haha I love me some shoes! Adding your question to my list !

Lauren I always anticipate what you're going to wear every time I watch a video. Sometimes I just want to see the whole outfit, just like on this video. The shoes, outfit with the zippers....so chic! I wonder if at the end of the video when you sign off if you could just casually stand up to say bye so we can see the whole look. You know, sometimes you use to stand up in videos anyway. But if you're not comfortable doing this at the end I definitely understand. You are so put together and inspiring!!!

Hi Lauren, I've been obsessed with your videos. Much of your advise reaffirms my fashion habits and I have also learned from your expertise. I'm in my 30's, I dress professionally for work and I like to workout on a consistent basis. I've found it difficult to buy clothes that I can continuously wear. I'm consistently changing in shape (sometimes bulkier, other times bloated, and few times slimmer). What kind of cuts or fabrics can I wear that provide the most flexibility. I consider my style subtle sexy, I would like clothes that fit well not just hide my body. Any advise is much appreciated, I look forward to watching more of your content. :)

I'm all for duplicates of the things you love and make you feel beautiful. If it ain't broke, don't fix it, right? But I really liked your point about not focusing too much on the transaction and appreciating what you have ☺

Totally agree. I had a skirt I loved and wore all the time. When I wore it out I actually found an identical replacement on eBay. I somehow tore the new one irreparably on the third wear, but I wasn't that upset because the new one just didn't feel the same. After five years I think I was just ready for something different and to evolve my style. That said I found a great deal on some pricy heels at Nordstrom Rack that were ridiculously comfortable and eBay stalked them so I could get an identity pair in black. These are my only two pair of heels, they have been going strong for nine years, and I still love them. Good shoes are worth breaking some rules for ;)

I buy duplicates in the basics. That perfect white tee becomes that perfect black tee... ...etc lol!

Hi! I love fashion but I'm too lazy to think about my clothes, lol. I always buy the same clothes in two or three different colors, same for bags and shoes! :-D I may start wearing a fashion uniform soon. P.S. I love your videos!
