I find it hard to believe that short barreled Remington has that many rounds in the tube, i guess maybe, but it seems a little much

Agreed.  Even modified.  Unless he reloaded quickly.
How hard can it be to run from a guy who has to lug a giant air tank around with him?
I just realized that both leading men have the initials J.B. lol 🤣😂

To get a shot at the hitman. But he wasn't there and not knowing where that dude is is very bad so he legs it.

Anton knew exactly what he was facing. He had plenty of time to plan and prepare. Llewelyn did not know who or how many he was up against. As the battle ensued, he slowly realized it was one man and decided to take a stand at the crash site. Nearly got him too.
733Rafael (23 days ago)
@neoasura the idea of him not checking the bag/bundles is kinda preposterous. too bad i didnt saw glaring plotholes otherwise.

Llewelyn definitely gave Anton a run for his money compared to anyone else.

Im confused. Why did moss not keep driving after running into that car???
Thomas Paine (15 days ago)
@MrFunkhauser Wow. I never thought of that.... Just assumed it was a mistake, the crash.
MrFunkhauser (1 month ago)
It was a trick, moss crashed the car to make anton think he had scored a lethal hit. Its why he got out real quietly and immediately ran across the street to ambush anton. nearly worked too. I think moss knew he had to deal with his hunter rather than keep running.

Bill Gates (10 months ago)
For anyone that cares, that thing Anton uses to kill people is actually the thing used to kill cows at slaughter houses, they place that in the forehead and press the button. I saw it once in a documentary, I always thought it was just a made-up weapon for this movie.

. You know he's after the money and he'll keep coming. A different position in the motel room would have been all it would have taken to end that one man reign of terror.

So basically this movie is a modern day remake of The Good The Bad And The Ugly.
J R (1 year ago)
0:48 Is that the actual part where he gets shot? Looks like it bounces off from the sidewalk after going through him.
muntu (17 days ago)
I always thought it was the bolt from the lock blown out by Chigurh that hit him in the side when he was sitting on the bed waiting for him.
jimmy goody (8 months ago)
Yes he gets shot. In the book he thinks to himself "what a shot" as he's legging it as he's a good distance away.

Love this movie. This scene is full of holes though!
Tyler Hussin (1 year ago)
I counted 14 shots... now Ive seen that shotgun Anton uses... and that thing don’t hold 14 shells unless he’s got Aquila Mini Shells, but I doubt it. And I also doubt he can reload that fast. Biggest upset ever is the death of Moss in this movie tho... :(
T E (1 year ago)
Tyler Hussin He was using a Tec 9 during this scene

sid viciouss (1 year ago)
What i love about this scene is that you see what it's like to be hunted by Anton from another's perspective, A silent, invisible killing machine whose face isn't even seen. Up until this point we've seen how he operates first hand, but it's much more menacing when he's just a small muzzle flash in the distance followed by swift death, No music or theatrics the scene dosent need all that to be completely terrifying.
HealthyAndrew (3 months ago)
sid viciouss true and good observation. I didn’t see it that way until I read your comment. The sheriff sees him as a ghost which confirms your statement that he acts like a ghostly embodiment of the force of death

s3dchr (1 year ago)
I absolutely fucking love this movie. I would just randomly like to point out that Anton is definitely shooting slugs in this scene.
s3dchr (1 year ago)
Oh yeah, that would make sense(also considering he didn't obliterate his side). Then again, I'm not sure if a flechette would do that damage to that Mexican gangster's hand in the motel, but maybe he loads both :P
Alica Ljungberg (1 year ago)
I think it's flechettes considering how he hits both the ground and the redneck in one shot at 0:48

Le Huy-Anh (1 year ago)
Well, Anton is supposedly Mexican (from Mexico, and not a Chicano), so he wouldn't have been a vet in an American war.

Copy Orange (1 year ago)
"He also wields a sound-suppressed Remington 11-87 semiautomatic shotgun and pistol (a TEC-9 in the film adaptation)" So, Tec-9 most likely.
