When you're getting a car stereo for the first time, you wanna ask yourself, ""What are you looking to get out of this stereo? Are you looking to play a form of media that you couldn't play before? Like an iPod? Are you looking for better sound? Are your looking for more bass?"" A lot of times it's easier to just replace your head unit, which is the main part that you put the CD in and plug iPods into, but often times it's not really possible.
You're gonna want to go to a local car stereo shop and consult with a professional. You need somebody who has experience to look at your car, determine what can be changed, how it can be changed and how it's gonna be done properly. If you plan on doing it yourself, you're gonna wanna do proper research and maybe even go to a car stereo shop to ask what type of parts you're gonna need. For instance, if you wanna play your iPod, there are interfaces we could add to make that play; if you want more bass, we can add a sub-woofer and an amplifier and if you want better sound, we may be able to replace your speakers or add an amplifier or a sound processor without replacing the head unit at all. When you're looking to change a stereo, you may want to ask yourself, what you're looking to gain by that. Is it better sound? Is it better features? You wanna be able to play your ipod? These are all things that could potentially cut your costs in half. You may not need to change every single component of your car stereo, just to give it a little bit more bass. Changing your speakers isn't always the answer. Sometimes changing the head unit's a better idea. Sometimes adding an amplifier with a little bit of bass'll give you that extra bit of impact that you need. A lot of people will jump straight to the "Big Box Store" because they know that the "Big Box Store" has a big selection and that they have lots of salespeople and help that is readily available; but I tend to recommend the local car stereo shop because, typically, you're gonna have more dedicated professionals with a lot more experience. You're gonna get better work done to your car, you're gonna get better advice, and a lot of times, you're gonna have higher-end brands to choose from.

Thumbs down. Didnt learn anything. No different than: 7 Tips for the First-Time Reader. . . find a person who will read for a fee, tell them what you want to read, and they will take care of it. I recommend an independent reader.
Best cheap car stereo EVER!
-Play GTA San Andreas using PS3 controller connected to USB port.
-Watch crystal clear HD movies.(choose - while driving or not)
-Download whatever - games, apps, from Google Play app store.(connest external harddisc drive or memorystick to USB-port)
I have done this - very cheap, and its fantastic!
This is what you need:
-Joying 10.1 unit. (1din or 2din - on ebay)
- 4G mobile Router with twin sim-card. ( extra sim-card free, no cost/I bought aftermarket ZTE MF910, 1/3 of new price + SMA to TS9 cable)
-Wifi antenna.(I bought on ebay/as shown on youtube - a cheap homemade 2.4ghz omnidirectional wifi antenna
-PS3 controller. (USB port in Joying unit + install controller APP from Google Play)
-Connect Memorystick or Extern Harddisc Drive into USB-port on Joying unit for extra storage of apps, games and movies.
-Connect to internet - almost wherever you are. (close to civilisation ofcourse)
-SUPER-EASY to install. Any language/all lightcolor settings for buttons.
The cost is VERY VERY low I strongly recommend it if you want an awesome car stereo!
Hope this will help you find a nice car stereo for less money.
(Please anyone note me if you have done the same)

I have a 2015 BMW F33 2.0D. Looking to add a 1500rms sub amp to a double 10" box, do you think I need to add another battery to this setup or will the existing factory battery be sufficient?
And Is there any other do's and dont's or advise you can share with me in this convertible installation?

I dont like what they have there. Me i have the top of the like kicker. I have 2 18 and 3 15 in a lumina. My head unit is boss avx77. My component speaker are all rockford fosgate p660c. 4 channel amp is jbl p400x4. Amp for subs are crescendo audio saz5000.
All wiring is from kinetik. My alternator is a taramps alternator. My batteries are tsunami. My sistem is pushing more then 8000 watts becoz i wire it to .5 ohms.
I buy speshal deal on ebay.com i buy all for 6 thousand. Tomorrow i buy the ampere audio amplifier. The xxx15000D i already order more tsunami batteries.
I bought some alpine speakers with a kenwood head unit, for a 2 door pick up truck (only 4 speakers total), and god it sounds awful. Well, it sounds decent but there is no bass whatsoever, sounds dull, and distorts REALLY easily. I have no idea what to do. Do I need to buy a subwoofer? Or should an amplifier do the trick? Im new to this haha. Thanks.
It sounds like you might have the high pass filter on, that's built into the headunit. There a ton of little settings on headunits that you might not even know are there. Read the manual and look through all your settings. Make sure all your speakers are screwed down nice and tight too. If they aren't tight that will allow air to escape and you will have little or no bass. You said it distorts very easily too, try turning to bass down on your eq inside the headunit.
I never buy from a car audio shop for 1 big reason, they over price the shit out of the products because business isn't constant, plus some store owners are greedy and sell you a cheap product they say you need for a high price when it cost 50% less online and you never needed it, i buy all my shit online.
if you want to advertise your company, pay the price and place an ad in the yellow pages you gronk, not use a misinforming title on youtube-fuck you seth for wasting my time with your annoying gay face you fuckwit.
hi, i need a basic guide to match an stereo i bought, is a pioneer deh x4600bt. and it says is Peak: 50 watts x 4 channels and RMS: 17 watts x 4 channels. and i dont know how to match a pair of good speakers to have the best quality sound without an amp. what i need to watch on he speakers description?. for example on ''sonic electronics website'' the discription says example: Peak Power: Peak Power: 250W and RMS Power: 30W (sorry for the english, is not my main language) hope you can help. thanks for the time.
Is there such thing as a brand new and cheap car radio that doesn't look like it was made for a pimped-out 1991 Honda Civic hatcback? All the $100 radios I see have chrome knobs and blue lights, etc. We have a 1987 Toyota Landcruiser that had a new radio, like those ones, installed in it, and it doesn't look good in the truck. Does anyone make regular-looking or retro-looking radios for at least $100?
+maccollectorZ (Commenting Account) Check out this link and read the description. They use it with boats or coolers used as boom boxes. It should work for your situation.
+maccollectorZ (Commenting Account) There's a product called the "JL Audio Clean Sweep". You connect it behind the stereo and it gives you a cleaner audio signal. It has integrated rca jacks for using external amplifiers. You could use that plus a Bluetooth interface, instead of using the cassette with the cord. You could also have two stereos ( the factory and an aftermarket) and just hide the aftermarket in the center console/glovebox or a hidden compartment. So you get the best of both worlds. You would need to have this done by someone that knows what they're doing!
+Gilberto Gutierrez Really? That would be better. It ruins the look when a classic car has one of these cheap things stuck in it. My only gripe is the fact that the stock one would obviously not allow me to connect a phone, etc. We have this device for that, which goes into the tape player, but it's pretty dinky. I also wonder if it's bad for the player's motors to be spinning nothingness.

Bricolajul a ajuns in Romania in urma cu aproximativ 10 ani, insa in Statele Unite si in statele occidentale acest concept este mai vechi, si isi are originile la inceputul anilor ’50.
