Style Type Series: Edgy Classic

1655 ratings | 104968 views
You have made it to the finish line. It's the LAST style type in the series (for now)! Edgy Classic in the house! This style type for me is my personal favorite and I show you a couple of outfits that are edgy but a bit more grown up. These looks will show you how to stay classic, but still have personality. She always sounds like she over it in all of videos like she dead inside..I keep watching because I love fashion and she has some great pieces and tips other than that i try to tune her out because she makes me cringe when she talks about the stuff ..but great tips in this video🤗🤗

Shit, I like how I clicked on this not knowing anything about the channel or this series and found out this is the last vid of it. Lol this is awkward.
Renate DeBruyn (7 months ago)
The jeans aren't edgy they're trashy.
Karen M. (7 months ago)
your look seems more casual edgy or moderately edgy, not really classic edgy
mariana hermenegildo (10 months ago)
this video is really cool but... the “cow” on the floor made me nervous. i know this has nothing to do with the video, it’s only a commentary :/
je lains (10 months ago)
I dig edgy classic 💕

I like this look, I can see how it looks cool, but I would not wear it everyday, maybe on special occasions or when I am feeling edgy (which is not often)
Mrz K King (1 year ago)
I think I'm more of an edgy chic. Help!
Zuza Hicks (1 year ago)
I love you and your videos but I'm very sad that there's a cow's skin on the floor :(

I'm a year late, but better late than never I guess! Edgy Classic is closest to my style, for the most part. BUT, I will NEVER wear high waisted jeans!!! I'm lucky to be thin and in pretty good shape, and I'm proud of my flat and toned, stretch mark free abs...especially since I'm recently divorced. I still run some of my outfits by my ex-husband, before I go out, to get a man's opinion. He has a good style sense, and I can trust him to be perfectly (brutally) honest! LOL I find the cutest crop tops but won't wear them without a cami or something under them, so I (usually) refrain from buying them. Other than the high waisted jeans, I loved the outfits, especially yours (sans so many rips in the jeans for ME)! I'm loving this series so I hope you do another version of it soon!
Marti Brown (1 year ago)
Maren Asb. - Hi Maren, thanks for the reply! Maybe if I found some that fit really well, I'd change my mind. Yesterday I tried on some from Paige, and also a pair of KUT from the Kloth. I felt like my hips looked bigger and my saddlebags were screaming "look at me!" and I'm not overweight (5'4" 114lbs). I'm sort of lucky, in a way, to live in a state that's WAY behind trend (Oklahoma). So I'll keep rocking my Rock Revival skinny jeans until I find the perfect pair of high waisted jeans! Do you have a brand suggestion for me to try?
Maren Asb. (1 year ago)
Marti Brown I thought the same about high waisted jeans for a long time but they look especially flattering on thin ladys with a toned stomach. I noticed that I got more compliments on the outfits i incorporated my high waisted jeans. Mine are in an olive green. So maybe you should give them a chance😊

This has been a super series. I recently subscribed and I'm so glad I did. Thank you for answering so many subscriber questions and doing this series. I'm looking forward to watching more of the videos I missed and watching the current ones.

I am a very edgy person and not a lot of people know. An easy outfit is: Top: white or black top (doesn't matter if long sleeve or short or tank top) Bottoms: green or blue or black jeans that are cropped Shoes: adidas Extra: a button up (preferred to be white or black)
TheFashionChase (1 year ago)
Love this video. Especially the gold skirt! On my channel I talked about sequins. A black sequins shirt and a crop can work as edgy chic as well. Mixing in 2 style types
Jessie Lawrence (1 year ago)
Dammit, I thought I was minimal, edgy, tastefully timeless. Now I'm thinking I'm minimal edgy classic. LOL! I can't narrow it down yet!

Nerdypenguinprincess. She doesn't sound like a robot. It's just that her natural way of talking is not supper expressive. Not everyone is bubbly. For example, there's a reviewer goes by the name Phelous who is kind of monotone, but that's just the way he is.

Lauren, do a series on clothes for body types! I'm very short and I have problems folding my jeans to wear ankle jeans
Haha I love your personality.

Love love love your channel. I live in Puerto Rico where now in October is still very hot, how can I transition into fall fashion without looking like Im going to the beach or sweat my neck off?
PeggyST (2 years ago)
I'm def this one! Thank you for helping me figure out what my fashion style is 👍🏾. Liefs, Peggy 🤓.

I've never understood how a person can slip into those seriously ripped jeans without constantly getting their toes stuck in the rips! Takes talent and skill, I guess! (ha, ha)
Casy (7 months ago)
Point your foot, a la ballerina style
Keeley Iero (8 months ago)
Tip! ROLL YOUR JEANS! Roll/scrunch them, foot in, and then pull them up! That’s the only way I’ve found!
Samantha Szucki (1 year ago)
I get my toes stuck every time!!!! 😂
Marti Brown (1 year ago)
mizzmolly - I know your comment about getting toes caught in the ripped jeans is a year old, but I wanted to tell you I HAVE DONE IT...and ripped the jeans down the front of the thigh. But get this...they were my very first pair of ripped jeans, they were brand new, and it was the first time I wore them!!! I kinda lost my balance when taking them off that night and my foot went right into (and through) the rip in the middle of the thigh. I tried not to cry, but I was really upset because they looked great on me. I ended up sewing up the rip with THICK stitching in an "X" pattern down the rip, and this matched some stitching in the outer seams. I've only wore them once since then but my son's friends were there (early 20s) and the girls said they thought they were made that way. So I guess I saved them. 😁

''who knew gwen stefani could make such a cool shoe?" uhhh....anyone that has ever seen gwen's insanely great style could have probably guessed that?
Elainehaselan (2 years ago)
Your shoes are patterned pony hair. They are a hide but not real pony. I would love a pair like yours in a wide width leopard pattern. They look really comfortable. Are they? What will you be covering next after Style Type? I find your videos a relief from the other lifestyle ones.

Hey Lauren, I am about to leave on a 3 week business trip. Can you give ideas of what to pack where I can mix and match and minimize the number of pieces that I pack. Love your videos- you have transformed my closet!

Julian Tate (2 years ago)
The last style type, Edgy Classic, is definitely me. But way too much black and neutral colors for me. I'm drawn to deep hues and quirky prints so that's probably where I personalize it.
Deanna Daniels (2 years ago)
I really love your videos. You're my fav. fashion channel to watch on YT. I'm much in love with the style type series and I was wondering if you ever decide to do more in the future could you make an urban/street chic style type video giving tips on dressing for this particular style.
Tolu Marilyn (2 years ago)

This has been a great series!! However, when it comes to ripped pants, I think no one older than college age should wear them----Looks like trying too hard, IMO--- :)

Lauren, I can't wear heels. Doctor's orders. I need advice as to how to look business appropriate or dress up appropriate without them. Just a suggestion for another video. I'm sure they're lots of women like me.
ThePrettySweety (2 months ago)
You can get all black toms, all black moccasins, pointed flats. Or black flats with gold or silver buckles. Even oxfords or the black sketchers shoes look nice. I have a leg condition so I never wear heels and had to learn some tricks
Lucy Skyler (2 months ago)
Rosanna Rosanna can’t wear high heels or flats either! hoping to one day find a video about looking professional in runners 😓
Rosanna Rosanna (2 months ago)
I have a similar problem, I can't wear high heels but I can't wear flats either, I have to always stay between 2 to 3 inches. I have no problems finding nice boots, and I have a couple pretty platform sandals for summer, but I can't find anything else that doesn't make me somehow look like a twelve year old 🤦🏼‍♀️
DoctorGeri (1 year ago)
Yes, Lauren's video is titled, 'How To Look Pulled Together In Flat Shoes '.
Trina Biscoe (1 year ago)
Claire Germain Nail Thank you for asking that question..
